Since we were fully mobilizing, the entire racial alliance was stirred.

So in the end, it wasn’t just a single group that arrived at the location of the spike.

There were many different groups that landed where the spike was found.

It reached a point where we had no choice but to cordon off the area so that we could at least approach the spike. But there were many that wanted to try and figure out what the spike was, or at least take a look at the spike.

All of them wanted to know if this thing was safe or not.

But we just couldn’t let everyone approach like this since it was dangerous.

I was part of the first group that was allowed to approach the spike.

When I finally saw the spike, I knew that this thing was made of pure corruption energy. Not only that, I could tell that it was made from corruption energy that had been compressed to the point where it was almost like some kind of condensed mineral.

It was almost like diamond with how compressed it was, though it was corruption energy.

After looking at it from afar for a bit, I started approaching the corruption energy spike in the ground. As I came closer, I couldn’t stop the strange look from appearing on my face.

That was because as I came closer, I couldn’t feel anything coming from this corruption energy spike in the ground.

Even though I could tell that it was formed from corruption energy, it didn’t seem like it was releasing any trace of it at all. It was as if whatever force was compressing it kept it from scattering even traces of it.

This was completely different from anything that I’ve seen before.

“Anything made of corruption energy has the tendency to spread and affect other things, but this spike just doesn’t act that way at all. It’s almost as if there’s something that’s keeping it dormant…”

I made my way around the entire spike, but I didn’t do anything to it in the end.

I turned to Max, who had been eagerly waiting on the side the entire time.

If I wasn’t standing a certain distance away from it, then he might have charged right up to it. However, he knew that I was standing here for a reason and he still had enough control to not go past the line that I had set.

Taking out the instruments that he had been carrying, he started examining the spike from every angle possible. With how thorough he was, it was as if he didn’t want to miss a single detail of this spike.

However, it was clear from the disappointed look on his face that he wasn’t actually finding anything.

In the end, Max turned around and went over to where the rest of his equipment was.

It looked like he wanted to go through all of the different things that he had brought with him to see if he could find anything special about this spike.

Only no matter how Max tried to inspect this spike, it didn’t seem like there was a result that he was happy with. It looked like everything that he did ended in disappointment.

That was only normal since we had never seen this kind of thing before.

Since it was a new thing, it would be strange if the instruments that he had used previously would have any effect on it. It would be something that we had to discover new instruments to actually survey.

Once he ran out of things, I raised my hand for him to step back.

“No, just give me a bit more time.” He tried pleading with me, but I couldn’t give him this time.

It was already pushing it to give him this much time to look over the spike in the first place. This was all that I could do with the authority that I had and doing anymore would be considered pushing it.

I could even see the anxious looks that were on the faces behind us.

It was clear that they wanted me to take care of this before anything else could happen.

Which was why I gathered my domain around me and started pushing it towards the corruption energy spike.

I didn’t gather the domain around the spike itself since I had no idea what would happen, so it was better to be safe than sorry.

Only the moment that the domain reached the spike, it didn’t seem like there was a reaction that came from it.

With how there was no reaction at all, it almost seemed like we had made a mistake with this thing. It really felt like this thing wasn’t even made from corruption energy with how there was no reaction at all that came from it.

It was just that it really was hard to mistake this thing for anything other than a corruption energy spike.

“Is it so condensed that even this isn’t enough to do anything to it?”

Since that was the case, the only thing that I could do was test out the new power that I had.

It was a good thing that this spike wasn’t moving at all.
