With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods - Chapter 1430: These are ruins?

Chapter 1430: These are ruins?
After making their way through the array, Lin Fan was surprised by what he saw.
Though he had a map of this place, he didn’t think that this would be the layout of these Dao Sect ruins. After all, the way that the map showed it made it seem more like a large open area instead of what this was.
What appeared in front of them was a proper sect.
It was just like the special land that the system had given Lin Fan for the Love Sect.
In fact, it didn’t seem like this place deserved to be called ruins at all.
The only thing that was missing were the people that should have been a part of this sect.
After he came back to his senses, he found that it was the same for most of the others that were here with him. Even though they were sects that had split off from the Dao Sect, it seemed like they didn’t have much information about this place.
Though they were now inside of the Dao Sect ruins, it didn’t seem like there was anyone that was about to make a move.
Everyone that came in together stuck together as if they were waiting for something.
While this was happening, there were others that made their way into these ruins.
After watching them for a bit, there was a group that suddenly made a move.
Those that belonged to that group knew exactly what they were doing and they split off from the rest of the group without a single word. They even made sure that no one would follow them as they glared at the rest of the group while they were leaving.
“So they do have some information about this place.”
It wasn’t just this single group that headed off on their own.
There were others that formed groups and started moving off on their own as well.
It seemed like everyone had their own information about this place, that was except for those from the Heavenly Demon Sect. When it was over, there was only the Heavenly Demon Sect group that was left behind.
Well, it wasn’t as if everyone was left behind.
There were a few that went off on their own as well when they saw the ones from the righteous sects leaving. They were making sure that they didn’t seem suspicious by remaining behind.
So it was only a few from the Heavenly Demon Sect that was left behind in the end.
Ye Qing Huan was naturally with Lin Fan as well, but it seemed like the others that were here were all here because of Ye Qing Huan. It seemed like they wanted to go with Ye Qing Huan rather than head off on their own.
But Ye Qing Huan wouldn’t leave unless it was with Lin Fan.
With his eyes, he signalled to Ye Qing Huan, “Let’s go alone.”
When she received this look, Ye Qing Huan didn’t hesitate to chase off the remaining core disciples from the Heavenly Demon Sect. In this case, it only took a single glance from her to chase them off.
Though as they were leaving, it was very easy to see the bitterness that they felt because of this.
Lin Fan didn’t say anything as he started moving in a certain direction and when Ye Qing Huan saw this, she naturally followed behind him.
Though the two of them didn’t go far before he suddenly came to a stop and started looking around. He didn’t take anything out, but the way that he looked around was as if he was trying to get their bearings.
It looked like he already had an image in mind and he was just trying to find their place in that image in his mind.
Ye Qing Huan didn’t say anything to interrupt him while he was looking around like this.
After all, she could see that he had some kind of information that she didn’t have and she was interested in seeing what it was.
“Alright, I’ve gotten my bearings. Let’s see if I can find anything interesting.” Lin Fan said all of a sudden before heading off in a certain direction.
Ye Qing Huan didn’t say anything as she followed behind him.
As they continued along, it didn’t seem like there was anyone here.
However, Lin Fan couldn’t help finding that strange since he knew that there should have been people here. It wasn’t as if the ones that had come with them had already disappeared, they should still be wandering around looking for things.
That was unless they had already found something or they had fallen for a trap, both of which were likely.
Though in the case of the ones from the Heavenly Demon Sect, it would be the latter rather than the former.
Still, it didn’t seem like they were running into anything.
That was because Lin Fan was following the safe path that had been laid out on the map that he found.
It took him a while to figure out where he was on the map since this place wasn’t what he had expected when he saw it on the map, but he was still able to figure out where this was.
Though the ruins seemed like a proper sect, it wasn’t as if the buildings took up all the space here. When he looked closely, he could see that there were empty plots of land that were around the sect buildings.
When he took these into account, he could see that this made up for the spots that he was missing on the map.
So from this, Lin Fan was able to figure out where they were and what the right path was.
To his surprise, the right path was actually a path in the sect that seemed to be leading to something. But even though he was looking right in front of him, it felt like there was something that was obscuring his vision.
It wasn’t as if there was any fog or anything similar that was blocking his view, it was just as if there was something that made it hard for him to see into the distance.
If Lin Fan had to guess, it was most likely some kind of special restriction left behind by the Dao Sect that obscured his vision.
“But how has it lasted all this time? The Dao Sect should have been gone for a long time now and their restriction is still here?”
It seemed like the techniques of the Dao Sect really couldn’t be looked down on.
They had once been the strongest righteous sect on the continent, so it would only make sense that they would have this kind of ability.
After walking this path for a while, there was something that finally appeared in the distance.
A building of this size was something that should have been visible from a long distance away, but it only appeared when they were this close to it. That was just another demonstration of whatever restriction was in this place that kept them from seeing it.
“Is this some kind of pavilion?” Ye Qing Huan finally spoke when she saw this building appear.
Though it wasn’t that she was surprised to see this, it was that she was asking this as if she was trying to get something from Lin Fan. He was the one that had led them to this place, so she wanted to see if he knew anything about this place.
Lin Fan didn’t say anything at first, but eventually he shook his head.
He had tried to figure it out by looking at it, but he wasn’t able to figure out anything.
The map that he possessed just didn’t have any information at all.
Seeing this, Ye Qing Huan didn’t say anything else as she turned back to look at this pavilion.
Neither of them moved any further forward after seeing this pavilion appear.
Both of them were just looking at it as if they were trying to figure something out, but it didn’t seem like there was anything that they could find.
All the methods that they tried to scope out this pavilion ended in failure.
But then again, this pavilion was something that once belonged to the Dao Sect.
It reached the point where Lin Fan had to force himself to stop since it was hurting his eyes from using the Appraisal Eyes on this place. The protection around this place really was strong if it could stop his Appraisal Eyes and hurt him like this.
In that case, the only thing that they could do was…
“Let’s go.”
Though Lin Fan had no idea what was in this place, the map that he obtained told him that this was the safe path through these ruins.
While he wasn’t certain that the map was correct, it was still better than having nothing.
Which was why he chose to trust the map until he found evidence that it couldn’t be trusted.
Only when they approached the pavilion, both of them immediately knitted their brows.
It was only when they came close that they heard it, but there was no mistaking the sound coming from in front of them.
“Save me!”
These were cries filled with panic and fear as they called out for anyone that would be able to help them.
Then when they came closer, they saw who it was that was calling out for help and what it was that they were trying to get help from.
It seemed quite serious from what they could see.
