The illusion of Lord Soron disappeared, and the Spirit Book fell asleep once again. Clearly, this time calling upon the Water Spirit had drained too much Spirit Power from the Spirit Book, and it could no longer assist Igor and the others.

This Spirit Book had finally presented this shortcut before them, fulfilling its promise.

Now, the remaining path is for them to choose.

Whether to take this shortcut or not, that is the question before them.

Igor looked at Douglas and Amoon, his gaze firm, as if he had long decided what he would do next.

"Have you decided?" Amoon asked after seeing the look in Igor's eyes. He had come to understand Igor fairly well and felt this young man had something extraordinary about him that always compelled them to follow.

"Hmm, I'd like to ask the opinion of my elders." Igor no longer questioned Amoon's inexplicabilities, as he had come to know the character of these two during their time together. If he didn't feel he could trust them, he wouldn't have shared his Spirit Book.

"Our opinion doesn't matter. I've always been one to take shortcuts whenever possible," Douglas laughed, showing Igor an optimistic side.

"An adventurous journey is always more interesting, especially since we've just met the Water Spirit. Simply returning would leave a great regret," Amoon said.

"Hmm!" Igor was very excited, raised his head, and walked towards the woods nearby.

They needed to craft dugout canoes, which were tools for crossing the river. Since they had decided to take this shortcut, it was necessary to prepare adequately.

Igor remembered the words of Lord Soron in his heart, trust, to trust. Only with trust can all hurdles be overcome.

With the help of Amoon's Exchange Beast, three dugout canoes were quickly crafted.

Launching the dugout canoe into the water wasn't a difficult process; they chose a spot where the current was relatively gentle.

"What we face is unknown, but we believe it is our fate," Amoon said before they launched. They didn't know what they would face or what dangers awaited, but they knew what to do.

Keep going, boldly keep going.

That's what they knew to do now.

The river carried the canoes forward, and so far, nothing unexpected had happened; it was quite natural.

The river's waves kept changing the direction of the canoe, just like Igor had seen in that illusion spell, with the vortex drawing the canoe to that area.

In the river, the silhouettes of large fish began to appear. They kept approaching, seemingly ready to attack.

These are the scenes from the illusion! Will this really come true?

Igor dared not think further; he only knew what Lord Soron had said, to trust.

He needed to believe in the shortcut Lord Soron had found for them, even now amidst danger, they could not give up.

The act of believing always sounds simple, but when truly practiced, it becomes immensely challenging.

Igor initially wanted to close his eyes and not overthink, but suddenly felt that doing so was distrustful.

The danger before them was nothing much; as long as they continued with the original plan, everything would become simpler.

Thinking this made Igor calm; he felt that the adventurous journey had just begun and there was no need to be so tense.

Igor paddled, progressing according to the original plan.

A low, deep sound emanated from beneath the water, which felt stifling yet thick to Igor.

Soon, they saw the fish below the water making way, as if some powerful force was intimidating them.

Soon enough, the water beneath their canoe cleared, and the silhouettes of the fish arranged themselves on either side, forming a pathway in the water, the fish seemed like the road edges.

Igor, Douglas, and Amoon were stunned by this spectacle; they soon realized the Water Spirit was opening the path for them.

So, under the guidance of these fish, Igor and the others continued paddling their canoe.

That rapid river flow turned incredibly smooth, as if the part encircled by these fish was a lake, not a river.

The fish created a calm waterway for them, and they paddled along it. It was a true miracle.

Underwater, Igor could vaguely see several graceful figures swimming, their beauty made Igor think of pleasant things involuntarily.

These must be Water Spirits controlling the fish schools, Igor thought, observing the elegant movements of Water Spirits underwater.

With the action of Water Spirits, the entire Han Lake became crystal clear, even the mist rising from the river grew thin.

"What a nice scene!" Igor couldn't help but marvel.

Douglas and Amoon didn't speak; they were more cautious relative to Igor, as they lacked the same nothingness quality.

Water Spirits underwater only showed their form, appearing and disappearing, sometimes you'd see shadows, sometimes none at all. Yet, the fish commanded remained in a state of high excitement, as if they were resisting the flow.

Igor now felt everything was smooth, and the canoe seemed to fly over the river.

The scenery flew around Igor, and he felt it was a wonderful journey.

Song rang out again, ethereal and distant, akin to heavenly music, Igor was enraptured.

This is something beautiful; this adventurous journey is indeed beautiful!

Unnoticed, their journey had already reached halfway; at this pace, they could reach the opposite shore before dark.

There lies the land of the Wensi Empire, also the place Igor decided to head to.

The sound in the flowing water grew increasingly loud, like the song was communicating with them.

Yet, Igor and the others remained silent, choosing instead to relish this wonderful moment.

The Water Spirit's song sounded truly divine, with the fish swaying their tails in sync. This sound refreshed Igor, making him forget all his worries.

This is the reward of trust.

Beautiful things will always appear, all one needs to do is to trust in this.

Igor suddenly felt this statement was wholly accurate; everything before him was beautiful, the feeling was truly great.

If only they could converse with the Water Spirits more, it would be even better. Igor gazed at the graceful figures in the water, contemplating silently...
