Kaguya smiled as he raised his glass, clinked it against Igaram’s, and drained it in one gulp.

He had a unique constitution; even if Igaram had put something in the wine, his body would completely decompose it.

This was commonly known as being immune to all poisons.

He had discovered this while training on Moby Island.

During the months he spent surviving on the island, he had eaten all sorts of wild fruits, many of which contained toxins.

Yet, Kaguya never experienced any discomfort.

“Mm, this wine is indeed good, but these ladies of mine aren’t good drinkers, so I’ll drink on their behalf.”

As Kaguya spoke, he refilled his glass and downed it under the mayor’s slightly stiff smile.

“Great capacity for alcohol! Since you ladies aren’t drinking, please sample the delicacies of Whiskey Peak.”

Seeing the untouched food on their table, Igaram enthusiastically recommended it.

As Igaram spoke, Vivi’s “Alluring Dance” had also come to an end.

Seeing Vivi looking like she was about to leave, Kaguya immediately spoke up, “Miss Wednesday’s dancing is truly unforgettable. Might I have the honor of inviting you to dinner?”

Vivi paused, turning back to look at Kaguya with a hint of surprise.

Her original plan was just to come and set the mood, making them lower their guard.

She was supposed to leave after the performance; she hadn’t expected the other party to take the initiative to ask her to stay.

Seeing this, Igaram quickly stepped forward to smooth things over.

“Oh, Miss Wednesday has other performances scheduled later, I’m afraid…”

“Other performances? I don’t see any other ships landing on the island today.

Who is Miss Wednesday planning to dance for?”

Kaguya smiled slightly, his sharp gaze fixed directly on Igaram.

The mayor felt a bit guilty under his stare, and fine beads of sweat broke out on his forehead.

“This… actually, it’s for the town…”

Igaram stammered an explanation.

At that moment, Vivi turned gracefully with a sweet smile.

“Since our distinguished guest has extended such a gracious invitation, I shall respectfully accept.”

She walked lightly over to Kaguya and sat down, her skirt spreading out like petals.

A flash of displeasure crossed Honey Queen’s eyes, but she quickly replaced it with a charming smile and poured a glass of juice for Vivi.

“You’ve worked hard, sister. Have a drink and rest for a while.”

Vivi took the drink and glanced at Igaram.

Igaram gave a subtle nod, signaling it was safe to drink.

Only then did Vivi take a small sip of the beverage.

Seeing Vivi drink, the other women felt relieved and took a sip as well.

“Beautiful Miss Wednesday, your dance is truly enchanting.

Would I have the honor of inviting you to join my Pirate Crew and sail this blue sea together?”

Kaguya reached out and put his arm around Vivi’s waist, pulling her into his embrace, his eyes burning as they met hers.

Vivi’s body stiffened at this sudden intimate gesture, but she quickly regained her elegant composure.

She gently pushed Kaguya’s hand away, a proper smile still on her face.

“This Captain must be joking. I’m just an ordinary dancer; I’m afraid I’m not worthy of your Pirate Crew.”

“That’s not necessarily true~

A beautiful dancer like you is exactly what our Pirate Crew needs most.”

Kaguya pulled Vivi into his arms again, his hand wandering restlessly over her slender waist.

This time, Vivi was truly reaching the end of her patience. Although Kaguya was quite handsome, she was a princess of a nation.

Even if she was currently undercover in Baroque Works, she couldn’t allow a man to take advantage of her.

“Bastard! How dare you be so insolent! Do it!”

With Vivi’s sharp cry, the townspeople in the room who were still drinking suddenly pulled out hidden weapons.

Vivi also whipped out her signature weapon—the Peacock Chain—from her sleeve and thrust it at Kaguya.

Kaguya was already prepared; he reached out and pinched the tip of the incoming chain, a playful glint in his eyes.

With a gentle tug, Vivi lunged forward uncontrollably, falling right into his arms.

“Princess, is this how you treat your guests?”

Kaguya whispered in her ear, his warm breath making the tips of Vivi’s ears burn.

The atmosphere in the room instantly became tense. Tashigi and Nojiko quickly drew their weapons, while Honey Queen leaned back lazily, twirling a strand of hair around her finger, though a dangerous light flickered in her eyes.

“It seems the act can’t go on anymore.”

Dezaya flexed her wrists, a cold smile curling at the corners of her mouth.

“How could you!”

Vivi looked at the man before her in shock, for Kaguya had addressed her as “Princess.”

“Princess Vivi, I can help you solve the trouble you’re in~”

While Kaguya was teasing Vivi, Nojiko and the others had already begun fighting the Bounty Hunters in the room.

Mr. 9, wielding a metal bat, was easily dealt with by Nojiko, while the “Diamond Barbie” Mr. Monday was defeated by Honey Queen.

As the commotion inside grew louder, the Bounty Hunters lying in wait outside also rushed in.

The entire tavern instantly fell into a chaotic brawl, with the sounds of overturning tables and chairs and shattering glasses echoing one after another.

Igaram wanted to fire the guns hidden in his curly hair at Kaguya, but seeing Princess Vivi in Kaguya’s arms, he could only aim at the others.

Having just finished off a few trash Bounty Hunters, Tashigi sensed danger. She dodged Igaram’s sneak attack with a flash and swung her blade at him.

Kaguya still held Vivi, a calm smile on his face, as if the surrounding battle had nothing to do with him.

He looked down at the struggling Vivi in his arms and said softly.

“Don’t be nervous, I mean you no harm.

On the contrary, I know you are investigating Baroque Works, and I can help you.”

Vivi’s struggling stopped abruptly. She stared warily into Kaguya’s eyes, trying to find any trace of deception.

But those deep eyes held only a reassuring sincerity.

“Who exactly are you? Why do you know these things?”

Vivi asked in a low voice, her fingers unconsciously tightening around the Peacock Chain.

Kaguya gave a light chuckle and casually swatted away a Bounty Hunter who tried to sneak attack him.

“Just a passing pirate.

But I do know a lot of things.

For example, the hidden boss of Baroque Works, and their plan.”

Vivi’s pupils shrank suddenly, and her breathing became rapid.

Suppressing her inner shock, she questioned him in a low voice.

“Who are you really! Do you truly know the hidden boss of Baroque Works and their plan?”

Kaguya’s finger lightly brushed across her tense back, feeling her body tremble slightly in his arms.

“Relax, Vivi.

Do you think I have any reason to deceive you?”

“If you really know something, please just tell me!”

Vivi bit her lip, her eyes flashing with a mixture of anxiety and suspicion.

While the two were talking, Nojiko and the others had already fought their way outside. The only ones left conscious in the room were Kaguya and Vivi.
