One Piece : I Became a Monster Just by Eating
Chapter 86 Conditions
Kaguya adjusted his sitting position while holding Vivi, allowing her to lean more comfortably in his arms.
“The mastermind behind Baroque Works, Mr. 0, is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile—the very man hailed as a hero in your country.”
“And as for his plan, it involves using dance powder…”
Without hiding anything, Kaguya told Vivi about Crocodile’s plot to usurp the kingdom step by step.
As he spoke, Vivi’s face grew increasingly pale, and her fingers unconsciously gripped Kaguya’s lapel.
“How could this be…”
Learning that the enemy was the powerful Crocodile hit Vivi’s heart like a heavy hammer.
Feeling the intense emotional fluctuations of the beauty in his arms, Kaguya calmly tightened his embrace.
“If you don’t believe me, you can go to Rainbase to investigate for yourself.”
“Beneath Crocodile’s casino, ‘Rain Dinners’, lies the dance powder he prepared for Alabasta.”
“However, I think with your strength, it might be a bit difficult to infiltrate that place.”
As Kaguya spoke, his fingertips gently brushed away the tear stains at the corners of Vivi’s eyes.
“But if you are willing to trust me, I can help you.”
Vivi’s breathing gradually steadied, and the panic in her eyes was slowly replaced by determination.
She looked up directly into Kaguya’s eyes, her voice soft but exceptionally clear.
“Why do you want to help me? What’s in it for you?”
“Exposing Crocodile’s conspiracy doesn’t really benefit me in itself.”
“But if you agree to become my woman, then I’ll have enough reason to intervene in this matter.”
A wicked smile curved Kaguya’s lips as his finger gently tilted Vivi’s chin up.
A flash of shame and annoyance crossed Vivi’s eyes, but it was quickly replaced by reason.
She took a deep breath, broke free from Kaguya’s embrace, and smoothed out her slightly disheveled dancing dress.
“That kind of joke isn’t funny at all.”
“State your conditions.”
“Conditions? You are my condition.”
“I don’t have many hobbies; I just like beauties.”
“If you agree, I will accompany you back to Alabasta to solve your troubles.”
“If you don’t, then pretend I never said anything, and I’ll continue my voyage.”
Vivi’s fists were clenched, and her chest heaved violently.
She had never imagined she would fall into such a dilemma—between the safety of her country and her dignity as a princess.
Nojiko’s shouts from outside the tavern as she tallied the spoils made the current silence even more suffocating.
“Three days.”
She suddenly raised her stubborn eyes, her voice carrying the dignity unique to royalty.
“Give me three days to verify the truth of your information. If what you said is true…”
The tips of Vivi’s ears turned a faint red, but she still kept her back straight.
“I will agree to your conditions in my personal capacity, but this absolutely does not include any demands that harm Alabasta’s interests.”
“Rest assured, I have no interest in Alabasta.”
Vivi gave Kaguya a deep look, then turned and left through the side door.
Kaguya sat back down and leisurely began to sample the delicacies on the table.
Nojiko and the other girls walked in after dealing with the enemies.
“Oh my~”
“Master~”
“The enemies have all been taken care of~”
“Where is your little dancer~?”
Honey Queen glanced around the empty tavern and sat on Kaguya’s lap with a coquettish laugh.
Kaguya naturally wrapped his arm around her slender waist and held the wine glass to her lips.
“The little wildcat ran away, but she’ll be back soon.”
Tashigi wiped her blood-stained long sword, a flash of complexity in her eyes behind her lenses.
“Everyone in this town, from the elderly to the children, are Bounty Hunters. Since they only target pirates, I told the Sisters to hold back.”
“Mm, since they haven’t committed evil, there’s no need to wipe them out completely.”
“However, we’re going to stay here for three days, so it’s better to make them behave.”
“Then let’s tie them all up first; three days won’t starve them to death.”
Nojiko suggested.
Afterward, Kaguya and the girls bound all the unconscious Bounty Hunters with ropes.
“Search every room; these guys should have some savings.”
The girls nodded and began to move separately.
When they returned to the ship, each was carrying a bulging bag on their back. Besides treasures, there were several eternal poses.
However, those eternal poses were all for the Whiskey Peak route, which wasn’t very useful to Kaguya.
Resting on the deck, Nami’s eyes immediately lit up when she saw this scene.
She nimbly hopped off her lounge chair and approached everyone like a cat that smelled fish.
“Looks like quite a harvest~”
Nami’s fingers were already involuntarily rubbing the drawstrings of the money bags, her eyes sparkling with Berries symbols.
Nojiko laughed and tossed a money bag to her sister.
“Here you go, count them slowly, you little money-grubber.”
Kaguya and the others also handed their bags to Nami.
“Any abnormalities on the ship?”
While enjoying the pleasure of counting the treasure, Nami replied, “Yes, a few small thieves tried to ambush us, but I took care of them all.”
At this time, Kaya and Makino also walked out of the cabin.
Kaya was holding a freshly prepared ointment. Seeing everyone return, she smiled gently and said, “Good work, everyone. I’ve prepared some ointment; is anyone injured?”
Dezaya patted her full chest and said proudly, “Those small fries couldn’t hurt us!”
“I’ve prepared lunch; everyone go wash your hands and eat.”
“I am indeed a bit hungry.”
Tashigi pushed her glasses, her stomach letting out a timely protest.
In the dining room, everyone sat around the table, enjoying the lunch Makino had prepared.
“Kaguya, I heard from Honey Queen that the dancer you were holding just now is a princess?”
Nojiko picked up a piece of fish and looked at Kaguya with great interest.
“Dancer? Princess? You haven’t taken a fancy to another beauty, have you?”
Nami looked at Kaguya with a face full of jealousy.
Makino and Tashigi’s expressions weren’t very good either.
Although they could accept Kaguya’s playboy nature, wasn’t this a bit too much?
Dezaya had only been on the ship for two days, and he was already hooking up with another woman outside. This speed was simply too fast.
Kaguya slowly cut the steak on his plate, a faint smile playing on his lips.
“Her name is Vivi, the princess of the Alabasta Kingdom.”
“Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, is using conspiracies and tricks to usurp her country.”
“I just want to give her a hand.”
Nami curled her lips, her fork stabbing hard into the plate with a crisp sound.
“That sounds nice, but I think you’ve just taken a fancy to that princess’s beauty, haven’t you?”
“What are the Seven Warlords of the Sea?”
Makino asked, and the other girls didn’t quite understand the meaning of the title either.
Tashigi, who knew some of the situation, explained, “The Seven Warlords of the Sea are seven powerful pirates recognized by the World Government. They possess the privilege of legal looting, and in exchange, they must follow the World Government’s orders.”
“Crocodile is one of them, and his strength should not be underestimated.”
“Pirates who can legally loot? Aren’t the Marines supposed to catch pirates?”
Kaya covered her mouth in surprise, her clear eyes full of confusion.
A flash of disgust crossed Tashigi’s face.
“The Shichibukai system itself is a desecration of justice.”
“Those so-called legal pirates often cause more harm than ordinary pirates.”
“This is the hypocrisy of the World Government.”
Kaguya put down his knife and fork, his gaze sweeping over every woman present.
“To maintain a surface-level balance, they don’t hesitate to make deals with devils.”
“Crocodile is precisely using this identity to secretly set his plans in motion in Alabasta for years.”
