Chapter 298: 298: Take Down.

The warrior beastmen began approaching the little ones one by one, cautiously trying to take the weapons from their hands without hurting them.

However, the little ones thought this was all part of the game and happily played along.

"Ha!" Kellie swung his staff across the stomachs of two approaching beastmen, sending it crashing into them.

"Ouch!" The two beastmen groaned, clutching their stomachs before falling backwards onto the ground.

"Ha ya!!" Minnie shouted, putting all her strength into spinning around and swinging her staff at the approaching warrior beastmen. She struck one right between the legs, sending him crumbling to the ground, before turning to the next unfortunate victim.

Smash one. Smash another.

The twins joined forces, happily swinging their staffs through the scene and sending the warrior beastmen tumbling to the ground one after another.

Before long, half of the warriors were down, while the remaining ones stood at a safe distance, watching the little ones in utter shock.

"How are they so good at this...?" one of them asked, completely speechless.

"They’re Commander Lynn’s little ones, and Commander Lynn is a good fighter. Their mother is also a top female, so they must have inherited some incredible skills," another suggested.

Shivers ran down their spines. None of them dared to approach the twins anymore, choosing instead to observe them from a distance.

"Indeed, they really should consider joining the tribe army..." one of them muttered.

Meanwhile, the little ones continued swinging their weapon staffs happily through the air, completely unaware of the chaos they had caused.

It was at that moment that Commander Lynn and the others finally arrived.

Ally and Zay stood behind Commander Lynn, staring at the scene before them alongside the remaining warrior beastmen.

"What are they doing...?" Ally asked in surprise.

"Why are they holding those dangerous weapons?" Commander Lynn demanded, frowning as he took in the situation.

The warrior beastmen could only shrug helplessly.

"And where is the general? How did he let this happen?" Commander Lynn demanded again.

No one answered. Instead, they silently pointed towards the unconscious general lying on the ground.

"...."

Commander Lynn stared at his twin cubs, who were still happily playing with their weapon staffs. After a moment, he took a deep breath.

"I’ll go and stop them," he declared, firmly making his way forward.

One of the warrior beastmen immediately reached out and pulled him back, warning him anxiously, "No, no! Don’t! It’s dangerous! Those little ones are something else... You have to be careful!"

However, Commander Lynn remained confident.

"Don’t worry. They’re my cubs, and I’m their father. I’m the perfect person to stop them!" he declared before turning and approaching the twins.

The beastmen and children watched anxiously, eager to see how things would turn out.

Commander Lynn approached the little cubs with a warm, welcoming smile. He spread his arms towards them and called out gently.

"Papa is here... Come to Papa and put those down, okay?"

Ally raised an eyebrow as she watched him. "What do you think will happen to him?"

Zay shook his head. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

And sure enough, the moment Commander Lynn approached, Kellie and Minnie teamed up and swung their staffs at him, thinking it was all part of the game.

SMACK!

Both staffs struck his head at the same time.

The twins giggled happily, completely unaware of what they had just done, while Commander Lynn staggered backwards.

"Ouch..." Ally bit her lower lip, wincing at the sight. "That must hurt..."

Zay nodded in agreement, as did the other beastmen watching nearby.

Commander Lynn stood there swaying for a while, feeling incredibly dizzy. It seemed as though countless stars were spinning around his head.

He tried to steady himself, but the world kept spinning. And just as he attempted to count the stars dancing before his eyes, his knees gave way.

Thud!

He collapsed onto the ground, instantly losing consciousness.

"...."

Kellie and Minnie paused, staring down at their fallen papa in confusion. They tilted their little heads, unable to understand what had happened.

"Huh? Papa doesn’t want to play anymore?" Minnie asked with a blink.

Ally knew she had to step in before things got any worse. Slowly approaching the twins, she came up with a plan.

"Hey, the butterflies are pretty today! Sister Ally caught some beautiful butterflies for everyone. Why don’t you put those down and come take a look?"

Minnie and Kellie exchanged glances, tilting their heads curiously.

"Can we bring them along?" Minnie asked with a pout, referring to their weapon staffs.

"No." Ally smiled and shook her head. "No butterflies if you don’t put them down," she insisted.

The twins sighed, but the moment they heard that, they immediately dropped their staffs without hesitation and ran towards Ally, gathering around her feet.

However, Minnie soon turned to look at Commander Lynn, who was still unconscious on the ground.

"Sister Ally, is Papa okay?" she asked worriedly.

Ally smiled as she looked down at her. "No. Papa isn’t okay at all."

Without hesitation, the warrior beastmen quickly carried Commander Lynn and the other injured beastmen away to rest and recover.

---

That night, Ayra stepped out of Commander Lynn’s room after finishing her examination and soothing him with her healing energy.

As soon as she came outside, she found her mates and the little ones gathered around, waiting for her.

"So, how is he doing?" Lord Ash asked. "Was he badly affected?"

Ayra smiled. "He’ll be fine. He’s mainly exhausted from taking care of the kids for so long, so he’ll return to normal after getting some much-needed rest."

Lord Vale sighed. "Poor Lynn. I guess handling cubs is harder for him than going to war!" he teased.

Ally looked down at the twin wolf pups standing beside her, their huge eyes curiously watching everyone.

"They really did stress poor Papa out... No wonder he collapsed."

Zay folded his arms. "And they beat everyone with those weapons too... Surprisingly."

Ayra sighed as she looked down at the twins, who were staring back at her with their big, curious eyes.

"Mama, I’m sleepy. We want to sleep with Papa," Kellie said, rubbing his eyes.

"No, you can’t sleep with Papa today. Papa isn’t feeling well," Ayra explained gently.

The twins exchanged confused glances before looking back at her with innocent expressions.

"Huh? What happened to Papa?"

Ally could only shake her head at their innocence.

Ayra smiled helplessly. "Kids will always be kids..." She then turned to Ally. "You’ll sleep with the cubs for the time being and keep an eye on them, okay?"

Ally nodded firmly.

Ayra turned back to the twin cubs and gave them a gentle warning. "And you two... Behave yourselves and stop getting into trouble, okay?"

The little wolf pups hesitated before slowly nodding.

"Mmm."
