Chapter 304: 304: Training.

Ayra folded her arms, looking curious. "What idea do you have? Let’s hear it."

Commander Lynn looked down at the excited cubs, running his hands through their hair as he spoke. "I’ve been thinking about how extraordinary the little ones are when it comes to fighting. So, I was thinking of putting their abilities to use early on."

Ayra tilted her head. "How...?"

"You want them to join the tribe’s army?" Lord Vale inquired.

Ayra blinked. "Huh? Why would kids join the army?"

Commander Lynn shook his head as he explained, "Not exactly. I’m not talking about having them join the army just yet. I was considering training them personally from this age."

Ayra listened as he continued.

"Since they’re so enthusiastic about fighting, we can’t seem to control them. They’ll just keep making more messes if we don’t find a way to channel their energy."

He added, "So, instead of stopping them completely, I can use this opportunity to begin training them in little ways. Nothing too extreme."

Lord Vale and Lord Zark slowly nodded in agreement with his suggestion, but Ayra remained lost in thought for a while.

"What? You don’t like the idea?" Commander Lynn asked her.

"Well, it’s just that I’m worried," Ayra admitted. "They’re still so tiny... I don’t know if they’re ready for this at all."

Ayra knew very well that these kids were extraordinary. They could easily whack people down with a massive weapon without much difficulty. But in her eyes, they were still her tiny babies who couldn’t do anything on their own.

And that was why she was worried.

Commander Lynn smiled and leaned closer, gently brushing his fingers against her cheek. "I understand your worries, but I’m here. I’m their father, and I’ll make sure nothing happens to them."

He added, "Instead, I’ll make our little ones strong enough to protect themselves and you in the future." He assured her with a confident smile.

Ayra slowly nodded.

Lord Zark then explained, "Unlike the other little ones, who have special skills, such as Zay’s flames, the snake kids’ poison, or Ally’s pheromones, the wolf cubs have their physical strength as their main ability."

Lord Vale nodded and added, "Exactly. So, they need to develop it early if they’re going to make the most of it."

They explained it to Ayra so she could better understand their reasoning. And after listening to them, she had to admit that they had a point. Perhaps she needed to stop pampering her little ones so much and allow them to develop their full potential.

"I’ll make sure they’re safe at every turn, so rest assured," Commander Lynn assured her.

Ayra finally gave in to their reasoning and slowly nodded. "Okay, then." She smiled.

Commander Lynn smiled back before looking down at the excited little ones sitting beside him. "Then, that settles it. You two will be my exclusive students from now on!"

The two little ones didn’t understand what that meant, but they celebrated happily, running around Commander Lynn. All they knew was that Papa had finally agreed to play with them, and that was all that mattered.

"But don’t get too excited just yet. You have to eat properly and get enough rest first. Okay?" Ayra insisted.

Commander Lynn smiled and nodded. "Okay. Don’t worry, I will."

A few days passed, and Commander Lynn had gotten enough rest to recover properly.

He was well enough to return to his duties in the tribe, surveying the area, leading his subordinates on patrol, and assisting with training. They had picked the perfect day to begin the little ones’ lessons, so, on that bright morning, Commander Lynn took the cubs to the training grounds, where the soft grass covered the earth.

Ayra was curious to see how the training would go. At the same time, she couldn’t help worrying about her little babies, so she decided to come along and see how things unfolded.

She came with Ally, Zay, and the triplet snake kids. They all sat at a distance, watching as the little ones prepared to begin their training.

However, the moment the other warrior beastmen caught sight of the twin cubs joining them, they panicked. Memories of what had happened to them came rushing back, and they immediately ran off to safety.

Soon, the warrior beastmen were standing at a considerable distance, watching Commander Lynn and his twin cubs. They wanted to make sure they were safely out of reach before observing the training.

Meanwhile, the twin cubs stood upright on their little feet as Commander Lynn moved around them, checking their posture and composure. He instructed them on how to stand properly, correcting their positions as he went.

Ayra and the others watched from a distance as Neris turned to her and asked, "Is this really a good idea?"

Ayra shrugged. "Your papa said it was, so it should be fine. As long as my babies learn how to protect themselves in this wild place, I’ll be satisfied."

Neris slowly nodded.

Nat sighed. "I’ve always told Papa that I wanted to join the training too... Why didn’t they let me train with them? Even the little ones are doing it before me."

Nyeon burst into laughter as he teased, "You? Train? You can’t even work for long, and you want to train? You’ll clearly give up halfway through!"

Nat rolled his eyes. "Whatever. You never know. I might actually be good at this."

Ally smiled and shook her head as she watched the training session about to begin. "I feel like they’ll be good at it. They’re already strong enough, so maybe they’ll grow even stronger."

Zay nodded in agreement. "True. I trust they’ll do well. Let’s just watch."

With that, they settled down and continued watching the scene unfold. A pile of nuts sat right in front of them, which they happily munched on as they enjoyed the show.

"Stand firm," Commander Lynn instructed firmly, keeping both hands behind his back as he watched his two little ones.

The cubs stood tall with their hands behind their backs, imitating their father as best they could.

Commander Lynn smiled at them. "Good. That’s good."

Just then, Minnie raised her hand to ask a question.

Commander Lynn turned to her. "Sure. What’s your question?"

"Papa, where are our sticks?"

"...."
