Chapter 305: 305: Control Training.

"...."

Ayra and Ally watched from a distance, smiling as Commander Lynn approached the little ones and spoke to Minnie.

"You can’t take the stick just yet. Work harder, and you’ll get something, okay?" he told her with a smile.

Minnie pouted but slowly nodded. "Okay..."

Commander Lynn straightened up and clapped his hands. "Alright, now let’s proceed!" he announced, turning to face them.

The little ones immediately stood in the proper positions their father had spent hours teaching them to maintain.

"Now, we’ll be practicing control," Commander Lynn explained.

The two cubs stared at him in confusion, wondering what he had planned this time. He then turned toward the warrior beastmen standing at a distance and instructed them to bring out the equipment for the task.

The warriors nodded and hurried off to prepare everything. Ayra and the little ones watched curiously, eager to see what Commander Lynn had come up with for their training.

Soon, the warrior beastmen returned with a basket full of eggs. They carried it over and placed it right in front of Commander Lynn before quickly retreating, almost as though they were afraid of getting too close to the little ones.

"What are those?" Ally asked from where she sat.

Zay blinked. "Eggs..."

"What is he doing with those?" Neris asked, glancing at his two snake brothers, who simply shrugged.

"Training, probably," Zay replied with another shrug as they continued watching.

Commander Lynn approached the basket and picked up an egg while the little ones watched him curiously. The moment they recognized what he was holding, they remembered the delicious meals Ayra had made with eggs and immediately brightened.

"Are we going to eat now?" Kellie asked excitedly.

However, Commander Lynn firmly shook his head, causing both cubs to pout in disappointment.

"Rather, I’m going to test your skills today! We’re going to work on your control and composure and see how well you can put them into practice," he explained.

The little ones stared at their father, curious about what he was planning.

"And what’s that...?" Minnie tilted her head as she listened.

Commander Lynn smiled before demonstrating what he expected them to do. "To test your control, you’ll have to balance an egg on your head like this..."

He carefully placed the egg on top of his head, keeping it steady as he stood upright.

"You’re expected to keep it there while walking from this spot to that one without letting the egg fall and break." He pointed toward the starting and finishing points, showing them the distance they needed to cover.

The little ones watched attentively as he explained the rules.

"Anyone who successfully makes it from the starting point to the finishing line passes the test," Commander Lynn added.

Minnie tilted her head. "But, Papa... isn’t that a little too far? How are we supposed to get there without the egg falling off?"

Commander Lynn kept the egg balanced on his head and placed both hands behind his back. "That’s why it’s a test. A true warrior must learn control and composure, even when faced with a difficult task."

He paused briefly before adding, "And those who pass the test will be rewarded with double portions of Mama’s delicacies tonight!"

The moment they heard that, the little cubs’ eyes lit up.

They wanted the reward badly. After exchanging glances, the two nodded firmly, determined to pass the test no matter what.

Commander Lynn smiled at their enthusiasm. "Now, let’s begin!"

He led them to the starting point and carefully placed an egg on each of their heads.

The two cubs stood firmly in position, preparing to begin, while Ayra and their siblings watched with amused smiles.

"They’re so cute! I wonder how they’ll do," Ayra said warmly, unable to hide her smile.

"It’s going to be a mess," Neris commented, folding his arms as he watched.

"Don’t be so negative. We never know!" Ayra replied.

Nat sighed and shook his head with a smile. "I think we already know..."

---

The test began, with Commander Lynn standing at a distance to observe them. The two cubs were supposed to walk toward the finishing line while keeping the eggs balanced on their heads.

Minnie smiled confidently as she took her first steps. At first, she seemed to be doing surprisingly well, moving forward with the egg balanced on her head. However, she had barely taken two steps when the egg slipped off and smashed against the ground.

"....."

Everyone paused and stared at her.

Even Kellie, who was still standing at the starting point without moving, turned to look at his sister. Unfortunately, the moment he did, his own egg slipped off his head and broke on the ground as well.

"....."

Commander Lynn was speechless.

He slowly turned to look at Ayra and the other children, who were already giggling at the scene. The sight of the two broken eggs had left everyone struggling to contain their laughter.

"That’s just the beginning... Let’s try again," Commander Lynn said, forcing himself to remain composed.

He returned the cubs to the starting point and placed another egg on each of their heads. Once they were ready, he gave the command.

"Now, go!"

Minnie immediately dashed forward. She wasn’t even walking anymore; she was running as though her life depended on it!

And, just as expected, the egg slipped off her head almost immediately and shattered against the ground.

But Minnie didn’t stop. She continued running happily until she reached the finishing line, where she turned around with a bright smile.

"I did it, Papa! I completed the task! I won!" she announced proudly. "So, can I have double portions of the egg meal tonight?"

Ayra and the other children could no longer contain their laughter, giggling as they watched her celebrate. Even the nearby tribal warriors were smiling at the scene, while Commander Lynn could only run a hand over his forehead in disbelief.

"Minnie... where’s your egg?" Commander Lynn asked, staring at her.

Minnie blinked before running a hand over her head, only to find it empty. She tilted her head and looked toward the starting point, where the broken egg lay scattered across the ground.

"There...?" she replied, pointing at it.

That was all it took for everyone to burst into even louder laughter.

Commander Lynn sighed and turned toward Kellie, who was still standing at the starting line. Unlike his sister, the little boy had remained perfectly still, with his egg balanced on his head.

Now, he finally began to move.

Kellie walked forward with remarkable calmness and composure, keeping his head steady as he carefully made his way toward the finishing line. His movements were so controlled that everyone watching fell silent in surprise.

They were intrigued, eager to see whether he would actually complete the task. The little cub continued forward, the egg remaining firmly balanced on his head as he drew closer and closer to his destination.

And now, he was almost at the finishing line...
