Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor

Chapter 200: Crucible [III]

Position Swap is a skill that allows the summoner and their summon to swap physical positions.

That means, their locations are immediately exchanged.

In this apocalyptic world, it can save you from deadly ordeals, help you escape encirclements, or put your summon between allies and danger, so it is a really useful skill.

It is silver-tier because not every summoner has it, but it is not that rare, nor is it powerful.

The effectiveness of Position Swap depends on the Tether connecting the summoner and the summon, so the stronger the tether, the more reliable the skill works.

Summoners cannot expect to achieve the same success when their summon is far away from them as they do when the summon is just a few feet away, so distance is very important.

Fortunately, Vivian and the Seraph Leaper are fighting side by side on the same battlefield, which is the ideal distance for the skill.

Vivian activated the Position Swap, therefore, their positions were exchanged.

Where Vivian had been was now occupied by the Seraph Leaper, and where the rabbit had been was now where Vivian stood.

As a result, Vivian was freed from Roselyn’s grasp because the Seraph Leaper replaced her, taking the dangerous position and tanking Roselyn’s offense.

Meanwhile, Vivian found herself elsewhere, and she shouted, "Light Beam Kick!"

Without hesitation, the Seraph Leaper kicked Roselyn so hard that the Duchess bled and displaced herself.

Crashing someplace else, Roselyn stared wide-eyed in disbelief, never expecting Vivian to escape so suddenly, much less to retaliate so cleverly.

Roselyn commanded Grogon to use the defensive skill "Ocean Bulwark" creating a wall of water between her and the Seraph Leaper, because she was momentarily under the rabbit’s mercy, and she wasn’t foolish enough to let another foot fall.

The Seraph Leaper had the chance to strike the Duchess again, and another powerful attack may incapacitate Roselyn.

Also, Roselyn couldn’t expend enough Aeon on Grogon’s skills, as the child in her womb made each expenditure risky.

However, the Seraph Leaper prioritised Vivian’s injury over this opportunity, therefore, retreated.

When Raven saw the blood gushing from Vivian’s abdomen, she jumped to her feet.

Her sister was severely wounded, proving Roselyn was so dangerous, even her sword was this mortal. The Seraph Leaper’s healing may not heal such a wound.

"Please, Vivian, don’t die in front of me," Raven whispered.

Raven was surrounded by people who wanted her sister to lose, but she didn’t care about their opinions; all her attention was on Vivian, whose life was hanging by a thread.

Unfortunately, the audience became even more invested in the fight because Vivian not only stood against Roselyn but also bruised her.

That is unacceptable. They see Vivian as a rude girl who dares to challenge her elders and needs to be taught a lesson.

Meanwhile, the Angel Leaper once again projected its dome-shaped barrier to protect Vivian, allowing her to recover, while inside the barrier, the rabbit stayed close to its summoner, providing her with as much time to heal as possible.

However, the situation is different now because Roselyn has recovered from her injuries, now stands outside the barrier, with her octopus behind her.

Roselyn pointed to the dome-shaped barrier protecting Vivian and her beast, saying, "Grogon, Multi-Barrage Annihilation!"

Rapidly and continuously, the Herculean Octopus strikes the done with multiple tentacles like a blades of a spinning fan, causing the barrier to tremble.

Vivian and the Seraph Leaper inside the dome held their ground, refusing to abandon their defenses.

Their defiance forced Roselyn to improvise, commanding, "Tidal Cataclysm!"

This is a powerful attack that releases a very big wave that erases many things

Tidal Cataclysm can be used against shields and barriers because the pressure can overwhelm the defense, ultimately breaking it.

Grogon abandoned Multi-Barrage Annihilation and began to coalesce Aeon within its core, until it summoned a tsunami and pushed it forward with tremendous force.

Tidal Cataclysm crashed into the dome of the Seraph Leaper and submerged it in torrents of water, cracks spreading across the surface of the dome.

Inside the dome, Vivian gritted her teeth, standing beside her beast, her gaze fixed on her aunt.

Through their connection, she continuously sent mental commands to the seraph leaper, urging it not to give up the barrier.

She thought to herself, "Hold on, Peaches! Don’t give up!"

At least Vivian had an advantage...

Unlike Roselyn, who must consider the danger her Aeon consumption posed to her unborn twins, Vivian can use any amount of Aeon she needs to protect herself.

But even with this advantage, more cracks appeared in the barrier...

Vivian was using her strongest defense, meanwhile, Roselyn hadn’t even used half of her power.

How powerful was this woman?

At last, Roselyn shattered the dome with Rending Lightning Strike.

All the octopus’s tentacles simultaneously unleashed this lightning bolt, too deadly for Vivian, ultimately shattering the dome.

Seeing the impending invasion, Vivian summoned what’s left of her energy and activated one of the latest techniques she had recently taught her beast.

"Peaches, Light Folding Technique!" she shouted.

Light Folding Technique is a hax skill.

Vivian’s beast can achieve instant short-distance movement by folding light between two visible points in a flash.

In other words, using any available light for teleportation.

However, Vivian did not know that Roselyn’s beast also possessed teleportation abilities. Because the Herculean Octopus has Water, Lightning, and Space affinities.

An Ancient-grade beast with Space affinity is expected to develop teleportation skills.

However, Roselyn was gentle throughout this Crucible, which is why she didn’t ask her beast to use Space-related skills, nor did she use Space-related skills herself—because space is a very unstable element and very costly.

However, as Vivian was about to escape, Roselyn didn’t want to lose track of her again.

So, when Vivian used the Light Fold technique to teleport with her beast, Roselyn simultaneously teleported and brought her back with a hard slam to the ground a millisecond later.

Vivian tried again, but met the same fate.

Every time Vivian tried to use the Lightfold technique to teleport away from danger, Roselyn would catch her with a Space affinity skill.

And every time, Roselyn would exert some pressure on her pregnancy, but she was still willing to do it, which might indicate how much she wanted to destroy her niece, Vivian.
