Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor

Chapter 201: Heaven-Awakened Hare

"Raven," Adrian said dejectedly, "I must admit Vivian is strong, but she’s not strong enough. You’re crying. Did you think she had a chance against my mother?"

"Lady Raven. I’m sorry..." Darcy said, trying to touch Raven.

Raven wouldn’t let her touch her because no amount of consolation may save Vivian. If Vivian died, Raven would find herself all alone.

She wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, which Adrian saw, Raven considering whether she should intervene to save Vivian, but intervening was against the rules.

You would make yourself a scapegoat for punishment, and death was one of those punishments.

If you intervene to save your loved one from death, then dying after the elders punish you doesn’t really help them, right?

Therefore, Raven watched helplessly as Vivian struggled to survive, praying for a miracle to save her sister.

Meanwhile... on the battlefield...

Vivian was trying to heal the wound in her abdomen, but she found it exceptionally... difficult to heal.

Just a sword can cause such damage?

Vivian cannot even remember her own sword being this dangerous, so why must her aunt’s?

Chronologically, her sword was an Uncommon sword. Roselyn Kingsley’s sword is a Rare sword. Therefore, their affixes were different.

Roselyn’s affix is more productive than Vivian’s, making her sword overall more powerful.

The blood swirling and gathering around Vivian has proven everything!

And her dizziness and weakness foreshadowed her impending death...

Vivian groaned, crawling away from Roselyn, "I won’t die. Peaches, protect me. You performed very well today, able to contend with an Ancient-grade beast stronger than you, so don’t waver now. Use all your strength, I have one last resort..."

SWOOSH!

"Is your beast still fighting?" Roselyn taunted, using a surfboard made of water to float out of danger. "You are so determined, little niece. Ironically, I’m proud of it. Grogon, make sure that rabbit is ensnared; summons can do very little without the summoner’s command..."

The Seraph Leaper returned with a silvery, glowing body, glowing brighter this time and leaving afterimages everywhere.

Swiftly, it dodged Grogon’s oncoming tentacles and retaliated with a powerful kick, forcing the behemoth to retreat somewhat.

However, just as the rabbit was about to take advantage of this, more tentacles attacked simultaneously.

The rabbit dodged one and two mid-air, but three, four, and another struck it and knocked it down.

It quickly steadied itself and continued fighting, alternating between regular attacks and its signature skills to hold the Herculean Octopus at bay, but the gap between them was becoming increasingly apparent as the Seraph Leaper was losing ground.

Roselyn Kingsley was right.

A summon may fight autonomously... but without the summoner’s commands... that summon lacks dexterity and adaptability to ever-changing circumstances of a fight.

Vivian, almost unconscious, not making any commands—hence, her beast, the Seraph Leaper, must rely on instinct and pre-existing fighting patterns.

In contrast, the Herculean Octopus has Roselyn guiding its every move...

"Left tentacle! Cut off its escape route! Now, attack from above! Typhoon Sphere!" Roselyn commands, her strict voice cracking the air.

With her precise instructions, the Herculean Octopus marshalled its abilities with near-perfect productivity, assailing from all angles and seizing every opening.

When faced with an Ancient-grade beast guided by an experienced summoner, Vivian’s beast fell short.

"Grogan! Storm Strike!" Roselyn shouted, and the Herculean Octopus roared like thunder, and whereupon, true thunder came out from its body, traversing along all tentacles.

The Seraph Leaper strove to bound away, but Grogon anticipated it, so that one tentacle smite the ground and dispatch a wave of water, its balance is thrown into disorder.

Ere the rabbit can recover itself, another tentacle sweeps athwart its body and hurls it aloft.

Vivian cried out, "Peaches!"

However, her voice was inaudible.

Thereafter, Grogon opened its mouth, gathered water into a ball and sent it to the rabbit, and the ball burst upon contact, swallowing the Seraph Leaper.

BOOOM!

Peaches labored to break free with wings and everything it had, but Grogon, undeterred, followed up with another bolt of lightning.

And the electricity crept across the rabbit’s body, leaving it wracked with convulsions.

Vivian furrowed her brows in pain as she felt her beast being beaten to the brink of death.

Summoners and their summons are connected through a bond, so whatever pain the beast feels, Vivian feels it too, as if the wounds were on her own body.

However, she herself is also in poor condition.

As her body gradually deteriorates, it begins to affect her spirit, impairing her ability to absorb and circulate Aeon.

Now, the Seraph Leaper has lost its ability to move, and Vivian can’t even land a single hit.

Due to the armour she is wearing, she must hit every time to gain +2 Aeon.

So without hitting, she has to absorb all the Aeon herself, which has now become a daunting task.

Blood flowed from the giant rabbit as the Herculean Octopus, like a real octopus capturing its prey, wrapped all its tentacles around it, beginning to strangle it.

The rabbit’s eyes bulged, veins protruded, and the Seraph Leaper was about to explode, and Roselyn didn’t harm Vivian but wanted her to watch.

"No..." Vivian murmured, forced to take action to prevent her beast from dying, this was her last resort.

She thought of her aunt one last time... pregnant... she might kill her innocent half-siblings...

Vivian ignored it!

She clenched her fists, gritted her teeth, and screamed with all her might, energy erupting from her body!

"Supreme state! Heaven-Awakened Hare!"

WHOOSH!

This unexpected turn brought a sudden change to everything around them, and everyone felt it.

Vivian’s energy spread, enveloping everything in white, like the white screen before a flashback in movies.

Roselyn covered her eyes with her hand, gritting her teeth. As Vivian’s supreme state activated, the wind whipped her hair back, pushing her away, but she was strong enough to stand her ground and see what her niece’s beast had become. This Supreme State...

Meanwhile, somewhere in the light, Vivian has recovered from her wounds, because Supreme State is known for instantaneous healing, as long as your Supreme State is stronger than what caused the wounds.

Now once again powerful and in the Supreme State, Vivian’s voice, like that of a goddess, shouted, "Supreme State Seraphic Light Lance!"

Opening her eyes, Roslyn was speechless, finding herself in a new place, like a cloud planet, her beast engulfed in the clouds.

Meanwhile, there was an endless staircase leading to a white sun, where many baby angels with small wings were present.

But in the center of that sun, there was the shape of Vivian’s rabbit, holding a very powerful light spear, estimated to be 100 times stronger than the light spear from earlier in the battle.

According to Roselyn’s calculations, this supreme state seraphic spear would either kill her beast or severely injure it.

She couldn’t allow that to happen.

She must defend with all her might.

Vivian’s voice shouted, "Release!"

FWOOM!

"No!" Roselyn shouted. "Grogon, Dimensional Sanctuary!"

[Dimensional Sanctuary: Opens a temporary spatial pocket, withdrawing part or all of the body into it to evade an attack. High cost]

By using Dimensional Sanctuary, Roselyn didn’t want her beast to be killed because Grogon was the most powerful thing she owned, and she would rather pay any price than lose it.

This is a very high-cost skill, but she didn’t mind.

As consequence, her body trembled as Aeon was drawn out, but she endures it. Her unborn children must endure as well, or they will all die...

When the spear of angelic light descended from the white sun, the octopus activated the dimensional refuge, a dark rift opening in the air beside it, like a tear in fabric.

Grogon brought its body closer to the rift, its tentacles curling inward one by one, while the spear of light fell faster and faster, almost touching the beast.

Then the two met, and an explosion occurred.

BOOM!

Dimensional Sanctuary is a very good defensive skill, maybe the best, because anything in the pocket cannot be touched by the outside world.

But the Supreme State Seraphic Light Lance is a Supreme State attack from an Elder-grade beast, which is inherently too powerful because it carries different cultivation laws and dynamics!

Therefore, after the explosion, when the dust settled, one could see a half-dead Ancient-grade beast with its head impaled by a light spear, purple-blue blood gushing out.

Half of its body was safe and sound inside the dimensional shelter, while the part that was struck was twitching outside!

However, that sight did not last long, as Roslyn dismissed the octopus before Vivian’s beast can completely kill it, therefore becoming beastless and powerless against a Supreme State Elder-grade beast—the Heaven-Awakened Hare.

Vivian mercilessly commanded again, "Supreme State Seraphic Light Lance!"

When these words were mentioned, they echoed across the battlefield, making it clear that her aunt’s life was in her hands.

Roslyn staggered back, summoning her shield, but she knew it would be useless against such an attack, so she thought about activating her supreme state...

However... she couldn’t make up her mind.

You see, Supreme State will take the summoner and their beast to the next plane their souls can reach, and these planes have different cultivation principles...

So when you involve an unborn child, it will die instantly, no two ways about it.

Because that unborn child hasn’t even developed a soul yet, instant death is a certainty.

Although Vivian gave Roselyn a reason to activate Supreme State...

If Roselyn did activate it, it would feel like she was the one who killed her own children, because she knew it was a choice to activate it, knowing it fates them instantaneous death.

"Release!" Vivian commanded her beast, taking advantage of Roselyn’s hesitation, determined to end this once and for all.
