Overlord Tamer:I Only Tame Bosses
Chapter 130: Dungeon Grinding
“Hey Oliver! Wake up!”
Oliver felt someone pushing his body before he quickly raised his head.
He was immediately shocked when he saw Isaak standing at the front with his arms folded, while the other students were looking at him. Some of them were even smiling.
Oliver instinctively sat up straight.
“Hmm… not even a week has passed, and the class already has a student sleeping during lessons. You hold the record for the fastest one in this academy,” Isaak said.
“Pffft!”
The students immediately tried to cover their laughter.
“I-I’m sorry, Professor,” Oliver said.
“Just call me teacher, will you? I’m not a professor yet. Please pray that I become one in the future.” Isaak said it with a smile.
“Now, answer me, how many types of dungeons do we have?” Isaak asked again.
“Ermm… from what I read, we have two types of dungeons, Area-type dungeons and Floor-type dungeons.” Oliver answered.
“Hmmm… that’s actually only half correct. Does anyone want to help him?”
Suddenly, Gregory raised his hand. Isaak immediately pointed at him.
“Yes, Mr Gregory Netheridge?”
“There are four types of dungeons. The most common are Area-type and Floor-type dungeons. Next is the Hybrid type, which combines both. And the last one, which is the rarest, is the World Dungeon.” Gregory answered proudly, as usual.
“Well done. That is the correct answer. Thank you, Mr. Gregory. One point for your Continuous Grade Assessment.”
Isaak walked toward Gregory, took his student card, and added the point to it.
“What a showoff! I really don’t like him.” Max whispered to Oliver. Every time Gregory answered a question in class, Max would always say the same thing to Oliver.
Oliver could only smile weakly.
“As Mr. Gregory said, there are four types of dungeons. I am sure all of you already have some experience with dungeons.”
“The Floor-type dungeon is a dungeon that contains multiple floors inside it. At either the lowest or highest floor, there is always a boss room present.”
“Meanwhile, an Area-type dungeon is an open dungeon where the monsters and boss are scattered throughout the area. The size of the area can vary from small to extremely large.”
“Those two are the most common types. As for the Hybrid type, it means the dungeon has multiple floors, but each floor is a large area similar to an Area-type dungeon. They are quite rare. Inside our academy, there are fewer than one hundred such dungeons.”
“And finally, the World Dungeon.” Isaak then raised a finger as his expression became more serious.
“It is the rarest type of dungeon and rarely appears in the wilderness. Even I have only entered one once, many years ago.”
“What makes it special is that the World Dungeon is literally a world of its own, complete with its own environment and inhabitants. It is as if you are entering an entirely different world.”
The students listened attentively.
“And usually, World Dungeons have very high rank, often above Rank 15. Unfortunately, our academy does not have one at the moment.”
‘World Dungeon… there is actually something like that. There are surely powerful monsters inside that kind of dungeon.’ Oliver thought.
Isaak then continued his lecture for the next two hours. His classes were very interactive, so the students could hardly fall asleep. He constantly asked questions and involved everyone in the discussion.
“That’s all for today’s class. Make sure all of you review what we’ve learned and remember it. Next class, we will have a field lesson inside the dungeon.”
“And for your assignment, I want all of you to clear five dungeons this weekend. You may choose any dungeon of Rank 5 or below, but make sure your student card records the completion.”
“And don’t forget my previous assignment. Make sure all of you have at least three monsters in your lineup. See you later.” Isaak then walked out of the auditorium.
“Alright, everyone. This weekend, let’s clear the five dungeons and tame some monsters at the same time. Let’s decide which dungeons we want to enter. I already have mine planned out.” Alex said.
“Good idea!” Max nodded before turning toward Oliver. “Oliver, you’re joining too, right?”
“Yeah, yeah…you’ve already asked me that many times before.” Oliver replied.
Max immediately grinned upon hearing the answer. He really hoped Oliver would come along as he felt much safer having someone like Oliver in the party.
For the next few days, Oliver followed a similar routine as a student. He would wake up at 6 AM and attend classes from 9 AM until 5 PM. Then, from 9 PM to 12 AM, he would raid dungeons.
He didn’t want to raiding dungeon until morning, as it would make him too sleepy during class. Therefore, he focused on clearing dungeons as quickly as possible. And with his monsters, it was a relatively easy task.
“Kiaaar!”
“Kraaa!”
Groups of Sgazs were running for their lives. They were being chased by giant spiders that easily immobilized and slaughtered their species. Leading them was a massive seven-meter-tall spider queen, who devoured the fleeing creatures with insatiable hunger.
And standing above her was a human watching the scene unfold before him.
“Hmm…this Sgazs monsters looked exactly like a goblin from the movie in my world.” Oliver muttered as he looked the villages of the Sgazs are raided by Queen hoard.
Right now, he was clearing Sgazs Crossroad, a Rank 4 Area-type dungeon. The dungeon was massive, even larger than his hometown of Ashville.
Currently, Queen had summoned nearly fifty spiders that were rampaging throughout the entire dungeon and causing calamity wherever they went.
After thirty minutes of trampling through the dungeon, they finally arrived at the boss area. Without showing any mercy, Queen and her horde quickly overwhelmed and killed the boss.
“It feels like we are actually the bosses of this dungeon.” Oliver scratched his cheek awkwardly.
He then looked at the pocket watch in his hand. It already showed 11 PM. Oliver then decided to finish a little earlier today. The reason was simple.
“I finally have enough Tamer Coins to open the [Dragon Reign] pack!”
He could not hide his excitement.
