Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1842: Chaos Ascension King Legacy (2)
"If you are reading this, then it means I am dead... Well, I cannot die even if I want to, so I am probably living a new life, finally embracing my nature as the Primordial Chaos Dragon.
Isn’t it funny to live a full life, rise above all, yet fail to live a genuine life?
It is very funny indeed, and I paid dearly for it, a mistake I had planned not to repeat in these new lives you have probably already become aware of.
You know, Paragon used to say something along the lines of, ’Life is precious but also fragile. Those who have little lust for more, and those who have more don’t know what to do with it. I want my life to be full of blissful moments, regret-free, as well as difficult and full of adventures.’
The first time I heard him say this, I nearly smacked him silly, but now that I cast my mind back to the kind of life I had lived, I must say, he was right. I had lived a life of regret, so much so that I never knew happiness until my sworn brothers came into my life."
Kent’s eyelids twitched, a sense of recognition appearing in his eyes as he dived back into the second quarter of the read.
It appeared that although he only has access to one page, it has four paragraphs, each translated into dozens of sentences, allowing him to capture more context...
He proceeded to read the second paragraph...
"I wasn’t born of a man and a woman. Just a woman who was unfortunate enough to be the maid of a monster who called himself a man. My mother loved me so much that her love for me ended her already miserable life just as she was beginning to discover joy and comfort.
She named me Avalon because she thought my coming into the world was magic. I loved my name, and I was indeed a magici because, long before I was supposed to awaken, I had already awakened, and I was determined to make a life worth living for myself.
But how could the life of a slave maid and her bastard son be allowed to change? In their own words, they claimed it would be a disgrace to the family she was a slave of.
So they killed her and shackled me, making me a slave whose freedom was tied to his master. I never even got to mourn my mother, taking away everything I cherished and would remember her by.
But I was the Chaos Dragon... It is impossible to enslave the Chaos Dragon. So I did what a Chaos Dragon does best. I killed them all, both old and young, painting an entire city red.
They called it the Blood River Massacre, an event that would forever echo across the Universe Ocean, sending a warning down the spines of all who dared come close to the Primordial Chaos Dragon."
Kent felt chills run down his spine, and somewhere inside the Soul Tower, his wives and his big sister, Fiannarel, also trembled, feeling a wave of killing intent mixed with an incredibly chilling blood intent, one that caused goosebumps to appear even on Fiannarel’s skin.
"Ladies, I think we should leave, like now."
Thanks to her timely intervention, they managed to leave before the second wave of killing intent spread out, becoming even more insidious and bone-chilling.
Kent narrowed his eyes, feeling an overwhelming surge of anger, so much so that his heartbeat started to rise. He clenched his fist, and by the time the third wave of killing intent came out, his nails had dug into his palm, causing blood to run along and between his fingers.
Suddenly, the space around him started to freeze.
But while one might say it was his ice element acting out, the truth was that the aura emanating from his body was killing intent mixed with Blood, Death, and Evil Intent.
Many go their entire lives mastering only one or two of these four intents. However, by just reading a few passages, Kent seemed to have gained a much deeper understanding of all four. He even appeared to be using them alone to influence the laws around him.
The Soul Tower was soon frozen.
If his wives were around, all of them would have already passed out, their minds sent into a realm of evil, killing, death, and blood.
Luckily, they had long since left, thanks to Fiannarel’s quick thinking and decisive action.
But Kent didn’t stop at the second paragraph; he went further to the third...
"Regret. Did I regret killing the family that was supposed to be my family?" A smirk formed at the corner of Kent’s lips.
"...Never. I never regretted ending their lives. In fact, if I get the chance again, I will kill them using the most painful methods known and unknown to man.
Hatred is a dangerous weapon, and I have accumulated a lot of it. However, do I regret not being able to do anything for my mother before she took her last breath..."
The look on Kent’s face softened...
"I do regret that. She was my everything, and I watched her bleed out right before me. I failed her as a son and as the Primordial Chaos Dragon. I was a failure who only knew how to take revenge but not how to protect.
Mother once told me the essence of life is to protect and live happily. Too bad I cannot live that happy life, but I can protect it. I will protect and try to honor her last wish. I am the Primordial Chaos Dragon, but to live the kind of life my mother wanted me to, I will have to put away Chaos and embrace a new persona.
I will be called the Chaos Ascension King, someone whose mission is to protect all life in the Universe Ocean, and thus begin the life you are about to read...
My journey from start to finish will reflect how I approached cultivation, pain, and regret. I will explore everything I did, from the very beginning to the day I, alongside seven others, met someone far more dreadful than all eight of us combined...
I will explain how I had to die through 13 reincarnation cycles just so I could become who I was meant to be—the Primordial Chaos Dragon..."
