Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1843: Chaos Ascension King Legacy (3)
Before Existence came into being, there were no planets, galaxies, or universes. There was only the Primordial Chaos, or as many call it, the Universe Ocean/Primal Chaos.
Within the Primordial Chaos, there are no cities, only domains. I came from the Ash Domain, ruled by the Five Calamity Ash Tyrant, one of the Primals whose authority cannot be denied.
I was supposed to be the Chaos Dragon, an existence born from Chaos and destined to rule Chaos by birthright. However, I changed myself simply because I wasn’t pleased with who I was. I became the Chaos Ascension King.
But by becoming someone I wasn’t meant to be, I became someone who could live a life with unknown outcomes. I lusted for that life, and so I lived it.
I grew up knowing one thing—battles.
I fought my fair share and ran from a few. I even met death a few times, but who can say death is certain when you are destined to walk through Chaos and back?
I discarded that part of me, but that part never left me. My destiny soon found me, and that was the day I met him...
He calls himself the Lone Wanderer, someone without a home or domain. Before we met, I heard so many overly exaggerated stories about him. The funny yet chilling part was that every last story about him wasn’t exaggerated enough.
In fact, the real him and the stories were in stark contrast. He was a menace, one of the most dangerous souls I have ever met in this life and the next.
He opened my eyes to the truth.
A truth that, to this very day, remains elusive to all.
Existence as we know it is threatened by someone... a single individual... his name...
Kent snapped his eyes shut, blood oozing from his nose, ears, mouth, and even his closed eyes. He tried to scream, but all that came out was a hoarse sound.
For a moment, his complexion turned pale white. Then, in what could be considered the most dramatic turn of events, he fell backward and collapsed, all life draining from him.
Tower appeared instantly, and with a wave of her hand, Kent’s body was transported into a jade-like pod somewhere inside the Soul Tower.
The pod shut, and an unknown healing liquid appeared inside.
Lady Kenzie appeared beside Tower, and with a wave of her wand, the space around the pod was filled with plants and flowers, the air instantly turning into healing qi.
Everything happened in less than 2 seconds.
"He will be fine, my lady. He just needs time to heal," Tower said to Lady Kenzie. Had it not been for her presence inside Kent’s soul, he would have found himself in grave danger by now.
"What happened to him?" Lady Kenzie asked, clearly worried.
As someone connected to Kent’s life, she could tell he had narrowly escaped annihilation this time. Whatever he saw was clearly something he wasn’t supposed to see or even dare to read at this stage of his life.
He was not at the point in his life where he should be reading or seeing names of such caliber.
"I don’t know what Master saw, but clearly, he shouldn’t have tried to read it," Tower sighed. Then, with a wave of her hand, the Chaos Ascension King Legacy Manual flew into her hands.
She opened the first page, but aside from a few runes that only Kent would understand, the text he had read was gone. The blank page was all that was left for her to stare at.
Seeing that whatever had caused Kent’s sudden collapse couldn’t be accessed, she put away the manual and turned to Lady Kenzie. "I know that no matter what I say, you won’t listen, so take care of the Master. I am sure it won’t be long before he wakes up."
Lady Kenzie nodded, and soon Tower was gone.
Lady Kenzie moved closer and placed her hands on the healing pod, pouring more Life Qi into Kent’s body. She couldn’t take any chances, especially when it came to her one true master.
"You do know he is going to be fine, right?" Suddenly, Hades appeared inside the room, wearing a sleepy look. He yawned and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest.
Lady Kenzie turned and looked at him for a few seconds before turning away.
"What are you doing here, Death?"
Hades is Death Incarnate, or as Kent calls him, his Death Spirit. He named him Hades to humanize him, just as Lady Kenzie also has a name.
"What? Can’t I also come out to see how the Master is doing? Or are you telling me you’re the only one allowed to check on the Master’s well-being?" he scoffed and walked toward the pod, taking a much closer look.
"In case you are not aware, Master’s life is yours to handle, while his death is mine. Before he dies, I would have to die first, so maybe be grateful to me for making sure he didn’t die when he clearly should have."
Lady Kenzie flashed Hades a look that made the bastard grin and step back.
"That is just like you. The last I checked, you were ready to rebel. What changed?"
"I have no reason to rebel now. Master has returned, and from the look of things, staying by his side will benefit me more than going solo. And who said I wanted to rebel?" A smile formed at the corner of his lips.
"What you called rebellion was merely me being loyal to the Chaos Ascension King, you know, our original master, Lord Avalon. Unlike you, who accepted becoming Lord Kent’s subordinate without a second thought, I remained loyal to Lord Avalon, and so I pushed back.
"Of course, now that we have gotten ourselves an upgrade, I dare not rebel unless, of course, I wish to perish. And that is deep for me to say, considering I am Death itself."
Lady Kenzie just couldn’t believe her ears.
It appeared Death was truly shameless, and now she had become aware of it.
’Bastard...’ she cursed inwardly and focused on making sure Kent was alright.
