Chapter 1845: Undead Realm Mission (3)

[Rex City - High Undead Heaven]

The undead train touched down in Rex City, one of the 13 High Undead Heavens.

It is home to a variety of undead, most of whom have pale white skin. Unlike many in the Infinity Universe, who view the undead as skeletons, they are actually humanoid, with only a few skeletons among them.

Kaizo and Selantra quickly entered the city, walking side by side.

When they arrived in the Undead Realm, they had to split up. Kaizo traveled with Selantra; Zareth traveled with Velmora; Sylara traveled with Morne; Elyndra traveled with Velithra; Vaelros teamed up with Seraphyne; and Varyn traveled with Varkhiel.

Twelve Demigods moving together through the Low and Middle Undead Heavens would raise too much alarm, so Kaizo had them move in pairs.

They had been on the move for months already. Finally, they arrived in Rex City, making it to the High Undead Heaven, where their mission would officially begin.

Their mission, of course, came in two phases. First, they had to retrieve the bones of some of the undead that the Bone Lich Undead Emperor had created back during the Undead Era.

Kent needed them to revive his once dreadful Undead Generals.

So he sent them there to get the job done. Once they were finished with that, their second mission was to retrieve some treasures he had stashed away for his future self.

Of course, to do all this, they first had to meet one of Kent’s friends, whom he had tasked with protecting something very precious to him.

Kaizo and Selantra managed to locate her, and upon arriving in Rex City, they quickly made their way deeper into the city.

A couple of minutes later, they arrived in front of an undead restaurant called Undying Cuisine. It is one of the top restaurants in the Undead Realm. They serve continental dishes with an extensive menu.

They have the Underworld Menu, Hell Menu, Abyssal Menu, and so on.

Kaizo and Selantra walked in, and the moment they set foot inside, a lady approached them with a polite smile.

"Welcome to Undying Cuisine. Do you have a reservation, or are you yet to get one?"

Selantra answered, "We already have a reservation under the name Blood Scarlet."

The lady walked to a table where a runic formation was visible. She examined it for a few seconds, then returned wearing the same polite smile.

"Kindly follow me."

They followed her across the restaurant hall, which, from what they saw, was much bigger inside than it looked from the outside. The formation used had woven a pocket-dimensional rune into it, giving it a much larger interior.

They soon approached a private room.

The waiter knocked, and a lady spoke from inside. She then opened the door for Kaizo and Selantra to enter. Walking inside, their gazes landed on Sylara and Morne, who were comfortably seated, sipping on Hell Wine.

"Took you guys long enough," Morne said, flashing a cute smile.

Kaizo and Selantra just smirked and sat down.

Seven days ago, Morne and Sylara reached out to them to inform them they had arrived in the High Undead Heaven. Kaizo then sent them to Rex City since he had information that the person they were looking for lived there.

He also reached out to the others, who were still on their way.

Naturally, being the first to arrive had become a competition between them over the past few months. While there was no reward, everyone wanted to be the first to arrive.

It appeared Sylara and Morne had managed to give everyone a full one-week head start.

"How did you two get here that fast?" Selantra asked, pouring herself a glass of Hell Wine.

Morne smiled and turned to Sylara, who knew what was coming, so she smirked and took a sip of her drink.

"Apparently, if you’re a beautiful redhead with cute red eyes in the Undead Realm, Barons kind of become obsessed with you," Morne laughed and added, "Sylara found herself a sugar daddy who took us from the Middle Undead Heavens to here in his private undead train."

"Oh, that is a bit unexpected, but do tell, how did it happen?" Selantra, who was up for some good gossip, shifted her chair closer to Morne, and they started talking, giggling every now and then.

Kaizo ignored them and turned to Sylara. "Do you think we have missed something big back home?"

Sylara looked up at Kaizo and smiled. Then she asked in a sarcastic tone, "Why? Do you want us to go back already?"

"No. It’s just that I can’t shake off this feeling that while we were gone, something big happened, and we missed it."

"As long as the Master is alive, something big will always happen. So if you are eager to be a part of the next one, then make sure we complete this mission as soon as possible. But yes, I also feel like we have missed something big."

Kaizo sighed.

He hadn’t been in many battles since they left the Infinity Universe, so he was a bit hungry for a good, chaotic battle where he could release some stress.

Thinking about the battles he had missed, he sighed again and changed the topic. "It appears the Third Princess will also be attending the Wine and Dine event in five months."

"Oh, that is something." Sylara set her wine glass down. "Do you think she will remember us?"

"That depends. She was rather close with the Master back in the day, so perhaps she would remember us. But I doubt she will be thrilled to see us, though. The last time we met, things didn’t end well,"

Kaizo sighed again, clearly thinking about how to approach the Third Undead Princess, who had been close to Kent’s past incarnation as the Bone Lich Undead Emperor.

"That is true. But from what I observed, she isn’t as crazy as the other princesses, so let’s keep a low profile when we manage to make it to the event. For now, we should focus on how to get inside."

Kaizo nodded. "Once the others arrive, we will register our mercenary team and take on Black Missions. We don’t have much time, so we’d better go all out..."
