Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder’s Record of Counterattacks
Chapter 3633: Ghosts Everywhere (5)
Ning Shu gripped the Fengyou Essence. Why wasn’t it dawn yet?
Through the iron gate in front of her, Ning Shu looked at the sky. The moon seemed to have shifted a little, but there was no sign of dawn at all.
The sounds of wailing and roaring from upstairs were incessant. With such a huge commotion, could it be that the dorm auntie didn’t hear it at all?
“What should we do now?” a roommate asked, completely at a loss.
Ning Shu didn’t know what to do either. She could only grip the Fengyou Essence. At this time, she was completely powerless, so she released her spiritual consciousness to scan the situation of the entire building.
Then Ning Shu saw people spinning in circles in place, as well as female students torn apart by zombies with severed limbs scattered all over the ground. There were ghosts and zombies. This building was just like hell.
Ning Shu scanned the small room next to the dormitory building. The dorm supervisor lived inside. To her surprise, she saw the dorm supervisor sleeping inside a coffin. Suddenly, the coffin lid flew spinning into the air. A female Jiangshi—Chinese vampire—wearing a Qing dynasty qipao and a floral headdress jumped out. She hopped along toward the dormitory’s main entrance.
She had a livid face, prominent fangs, and sharp blood-red nails. At this moment, the moon shone a little brighter, and the eerie white moonlight illuminated the dorm auntie’s body.
Oh my god!
Ning Shu practically wanted to drop to her knees. The dorm supervisor hopped all the way to the iron gate. Through the gaps in the iron bars, she reached out her hands to grab Ning Shu and her two roommates.
Ning Shu hurriedly pulled her two roommates further away from the iron gate. The female jiangshi blocked by the gate hopped while waving her hands, trying to grab the three of them.
However, seeing her hopping up and down outside the door was quite funny. She made the iron gate rattle and clatter loudly.
Ning Shu gripped the Fengyou Essence. This little bit of stuff had to be used sparingly. This world was most likely an illusion. Moreover, the space was distorted, there was not even a trace of spiritual energy, and it lacked even the most basic world rules. It was a psychotic world.
Zombies, jiangshi, ghosts, what else was there?
Ning Shu rubbed the space between her eyebrows. She felt a sense of powerlessness, as if she were lost in a dense fog and unable to see the way forward.
Furthermore, Ning Shu had a premonition that an endless, massive wave of monsters was about to strike.
Come on then, plant some plants!1I think this is a humorous reference to the game Plants vs. Zombies, specifically the game’s start-of-level message, “A huge wave of zombies is approaching!”
“Shi Mei, what do we do now?” a roommate shouted at Ning Shu.
“My name is Shi Mei?” Ning Shu asked.
“What is wrong with you? Do you not even know your own name?” her roommate said.
Ning Shu was completely bewildered now. She had constantly been in a state of wondering,’ Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing? Where am I going? Where did these ghostly things come from? What the hell kind of world is this? What is the deal with this Fengyou Essence…’
The jiangshi banged loudly against the iron gate. Looking at the lock, it seemed like it was about to be busted open. Even the iron bars were bent slightly from the impact.
“Let her crash into it. If she breaks it open, we can get out.” Being trapped in this dormitory building all this time was far too dangerous. There was not even a place for them to hide. Their only other option was to jump out the window. But what if they ended up crippled or dead?
Ning Shu gripped the Fengyou Essence and looked at the green-furred jiangshi. She wondered if this stuff would be useful against a jiangshi.
Ning Shu brought the Fengyou Essence to the tip of her nose. It was just an ordinary bottle of Fengyou Essence, so why was it so overpowered?
The setting of this world was truly psychotic!
Could it actually be some divine artifact?
“Do you have any more Fengyou Essence?” Ning Shu asked her roommate. Her roommate shook her head.
“No more. That was the only bottle.”
“You only had one bottle and you gave it to me?” Ning Shu looked at her. Talk about sacrificing oneself for others!
“She is going to break the door open,” the other roommate shouted in terror. Ning Shu shielded her two roommates behind her, holding the Fengyou Essence, ready to sprinkle it onto the jiangshi‘s body.
Suddenly, a wooden club appeared behind the female jiangshi‘s back and struck heavily against her head. Then, under Ning Shu’s watchful gaze, the female jiangshi fainted.
Damn it, she fainted.
Shouldn’t a normal jiangshi be invulnerable to swords and spears, and then turn around to gnaw its attacker to death?
Ning Shu truly had too many complaints but did not even know where to begin. There was absolutely no logic to this.
“Shi Mei, I am here to save you.” A boy wearing a white turtleneck sweater suddenly appeared. He did not dare to put down the wooden club in his hands. The reason she could tell this boy was wearing a turtleneck sweater was that the moonlight was incredibly bright at this moment.
Ning Shu silently looked at the sleeveless pajamas she was wearing, and then silently looked at the other party’s turtleneck sweater.
Bro, are we not in the same season?
Why was he wearing a sweater while she and her roommates were wearing so little, yet they did not feel cold?
“Shi Mei?” Turtleneck Bro called out to Ning Shu. Right at this moment, a gust of cold wind blew in. Ning Shu immediately shivered, feeling unbearably cold.
Could it be that her adrenaline had been pumping so wildly from fear earlier that she simply had not felt the cold?
Now that someone had come to rescue her, she relaxed all at once.
Ning Shu sniffed her runny nose back in and tightly gripped the Fengyou Essence again. She looked at the only normal person who had appeared so far. But what if this was some monster wearing human skin?
Ning Shu was so cold her teeth chattered. In her heart, she truly regretted bringing up the issue of the weather. She couldn’t help but feel that it was because she had complained about it that the weather suddenly became so cold.
“Who are you?” Ning Shu asked Turtleneck Bro. This guy looked very gentle. Wearing a white turtleneck sweater, he had a clean aura and was quite good-looking.
“I am Song Mo,” Song Mo said anxiously. He immediately realized the door could not be opened and instantly looked embarrassed. He had the urge to shake the jiangshi awake and let her continue ramming the door.
Ning Shu still did not dare to approach Song Mo. Heaven knew what kind of ghost he was. “There should be a key in the dorm supervisor’s room. Go find the key and bring it here.”
“Okay, wait here.” Song Mo carried the wooden club and went to the small room to look for the key. However, once he entered, it was suddenly silent.
He did not come out for quite a long while.
Various sounds of agonizing roars came from upstairs, along with the heavy thuds of running footsteps. The commotion was so massive. Why did no one come to save her?
Only a Song Mo came.
The female jiangshi that Song Mo had knocked unconscious woke up. She immediately jumped to her feet and resumed ramming the door. Meanwhile, Song Mo, who had gone to look for the key, still had not returned.
Ning Shu simply could not describe her current mood.
In short, it was just ‘what the fuck, what the fuck!?’
“Why hasn’t Song Mo returned yet?” one of her roommates asked. She was clearly filled with worry.
Ning Shu gripped the Fengyou Essence and said, “It’s fine, let her ram it.”
Her roommate glanced at Ning Shu. “I still hope Song Mo finds the key quickly. I do not know if we can hold off a jiangshi.”
“I am just rather curious, why would such things happen in our dorm?” Ning Shu asked.
“I don’t know,” her roommate said blankly.
Ning Shu twitched the corners of her mouth. This was truly torturing her to death. There was absolutely no logic to speak of in this world.
Song Mo finally found the key and hurriedly ran out of the room. Seeing that the jiangshi had awakened, he raised his club and struck the jiangshi again. The jiangshi fell straight down to the ground.
“Don’t worry, I will open the door right away.” Song Mo was very nervous. While holding the key, he accidentally dropped it on the ground and quickly squatted down to pick it up.
“Song Mo, behind you…” Her roommate, whose face was filled with extreme terror, pointed behind Song Mo.
