"You don’t have to speak if you are not going to help out. Now, get out of my way before I make it your problem."

Seraphina did not often speak like this, but the fact that she was sprouting such words meant that she was reaching her limit. And Leon was not foolish enough to push her buttons anymore.

So he decided to take a step back and he watched as Seraphina powered up Iris’s sword aura so that they could take down the barrier.

Iris’s sword came clashing down toward the barrier, but it never hit the barrier. Instead, it clashed against another sword before it was pushed back.

"This is a rather rude welcome. I don’t think I want to invite guests like you back to my home. So, I would like to ask you all to fuck off now."

A beautiful but familiar-looking woman stepped out of the barrier with her sword shining. Leon could immediately tell that this newcomer was a sword master. And a particularly dangerous one at that.

No one stood a chance against her at their current level.

"Serapina, Iris, don’t do anything foolish-"

Leon warned but the two were not listening. Iris was already attacking the newcomer and Seraphina was helping her. It was a losing battle, no matter how one looked at that and the newcomer had no mercy to spare.

Her sword shined with bright power and Iris tried to counter with her own aura, but even her enhanced aura was no match for the newcomer’s sword, causing it to break.

"Hmm, you are not bad. But I can tell that it has not been long since you became a sword master. You also lack formal training and are quick to get angry. You certainly need more training."

The newcomer evaluated before she threw Iris back.

Seraphina tried to air Lyra but the newcomer grabbed her before she could chant.

"You-!"

"Ah, the saintess! I should say that it’s an honor to have you here. But I don’t feel like welcoming you after what happened. So would you please go to sleep for now?"

The newcomer knocked Seraphina out as well. And now it was Leon’s turn.

He knew he could match this newcomer if he gave everything he had. But unlike the other two, he had no intention of making an enemy out of this woman.

Not only was she powerful, but he did not miss the obvious that both Iris and Seraphina missed in their anger - this woman looked exactly like Kael.

"Miss...Emma Mikailias, Please forgive my companion’s actions. Their temper and worry for our teacher got the best of them. I would be grateful if you allow me to talk to Teacher Kael for a few minutes."

Leon decided to show respect to Emma and the female finally relaxed and put her sword down.

"Hmm, you seem like a reasonable child, so I don’t see a problem with allowing you to contact Kael. But since I cannot trust you, you will have to talk to him through this barrier. If that’s fine with you, then come and follow me. I can feel where my younger brother is right now. You can meet him as well."

Leon nodded and after casting a barrier around both Seraphina and Iris, he followed the elder to meet Kael.

Meanwhile, the other side was having a tougher time with their opponents and it was because it was two-vs-two.

__________

"Darn it! Are you even a human, you bastard? There is no way you should be able to stand up to my powers."

Lyra was the demon queen and a particularly powerful one at that. No human should be able to match her in strength and speed unless they were at an exceptional level of power.

Kael was the only exception she had met and she had a feeling that Leon might be able to match her in the future as well.

But her current opponent? He felt like a wall she could not even see past as she faced him.

Her every move was being read and the pressure from the barrier was pushing her powers to weaken, causing her to become even more disadvantageous.

"I am afraid that I have to dispose of you now. As the next family head, I cannot allow dangerous uninvited guests into my home. I hope you understand what I mean by those words."

A smiling face looked back at her and Lyra felt like cursing. Her pride as the demon queen was being shattered.

But at least she was not the only one struggling.

Elena seemed to be having a hard time against her wilder opponent as well. The kid was not a sword master, but he had the makings of one. He was far beyond Elena’s level, especially when he would not even allow her to use her powers.

"Ouch-"

Elena yelled in pain and Lyra got distracted by her voice. That caused her to get caught by her opponent and he gave her a tired sigh.

"Are you looking away from me in the middle of our match? I cannot help but feel like you are mocking me now. Should I take it as an insult?"

The dangerous man asked as his sword almost cleaved Lyra’s head but she managed to dodge that attack at the last second and somehow keep herself alive.

But the more she fought, the more she felt her limbs starting to tire out. She won’t be able to keep it up for long.

"Darn it! Where have you kept Kyle and what are you planning on doing with him? You better return him or else-"

Lyra growled, finally voicing the frustration she felt.

Her anger-filled words made the guy in front of her look back at her with an amused expression. But she could tell that he had no desire to give Kael back to her.

"Hmm, what you are demanding of me is rather hard for me to hand over. You see, I have no intention of handing Kael over to you. And you should stop getting distracted as well or it will cause your downfall."

That was all the warning Lyra got before she felt someone colliding with her back and causing her to fall.
