The old man clutched the storyteller’s collar tightly with both hands, shouting madly: “The story you just told is about my family, the couple in the story are the Prince and Princess Consort; quickly tell me, why did they kill my son?”

The storyteller was scared stiff. From the old man’s eyes, he saw madness; this person must have suffered a great shock to show such a look.

“Brother, don’t be so agitated. Let’s sit down and talk things through calmly.”

“Talk about what? My son is dead; talk about what?” Despite his scrawny appearance, the old man had an unexpectedly strong grip, making the middle-aged storyteller struggle to breathe.

The people in the teahouse were originally engrossed in listening to the story. Suddenly, the old man burst in and interrupted their listening. Initially, they were bewildered, not knowing what had happened, but when they heard, realized the old man had taken the storyteller’s tale as truth, leading him to attack.

The words he was spouting were inexplicable, saying the couple in the story were the War Prince and his wife. What was he doing? Had he gone insane?

Why on earth would he think the story was real?

And he even implicated the War Prince couple. If the Prince found out, it would be a disaster.

The teahouse shopkeeper was also terrified at the sight, for he only ran a small business and did not want any trouble leading to harm.

Thus, he quickly rushed over, grabbed the old man, and advised: “Elder, don’t take it seriously, he’s just telling a story. Your son isn’t here; hurry home to find him.”

The old man’s hands loosened, and he collapsed to the ground, bawling: “Where is home? Without my son, where is home? Waaaa…!”

The people in the teahouse all thought the old man had gone mad, speaking nonsense. A storyteller telling tales, and he believed it; if not a madman, what was he?

Suddenly, the old man crawled up from the ground, pointed at the small book on the table, and questioned: “Say, who gave you this book?”

Though the shopkeeper was quite confused, he still answered honestly: “Early this morning a young lady brought it over to sell to us. I thought the story inside was well-written and bought it. What’s the matter?”

The old man grabbed the shopkeeper urgently, asking: “Young lady? What young lady, where does she live, what’s her name?”

A string of questions left the shopkeeper speechless.

Finally, after holding back for a long time, the shopkeeper asked: “Elder, where do you live? How about I send someone to escort you back home?”

He thought this old man was senile and didn’t know what he was doing, thinking sending him home would solve the problem.

The old man realized he wouldn’t get answers and didn’t make things difficult for the shopkeeper; he let go of his grip and walked out despondently…

Everyone in the teahouse quietly watched him leave, collectively breathing a sigh of relief. Some shrewd individuals hurriedly shouted: “Shopkeeper, quickly close the door, don’t let him come back in.”

“Oh, right, right, close the door!” The shopkeeper was also afraid this madman might come back and cause trouble, so he really shut the main door.

When the old man returned to the inn, he found all his luggage gone and was extremely furious, calling the attendant to question…

“Attendant, what’s going on? I haven’t left yet; where have all my luggage and bundles gone?”

The attendant looked baffled: “I don’t know, but I saw your servant rushed back earlier; maybe it was him!”

“What? It was him.”

The old man could hardly believe what he was hearing, his servant had betrayed him, running off with all his belongings; how was he supposed to live?

The originally kind-faced attendant, upon realizing the old man’s luggage and bundles were all taken by the servant, immediately turned hostile, speaking with disdain: “Sir, you haven’t paid for yesterday and today’s room yet, settle the bill first!”
