Chapter 1393: Payback

Michael found himself unable to see the true depth and limit of this liminal white space. It was as if he had arrived at the exact opposite of a black hole. A white... fill?

No matter how far he flew, no matter how many minutes he walked, the door to the black igloo was still a hundred meters away from him. It was kind of trippy, making him feel as if the world around him was moving instead of him.

Michael had completely forgotten about that! He was so caught up in the high of discovering his own offensive swordstyle that he had completely neglected to give ChatJK6 the notice that he was going to defeat the Unity Creatures.

His personal AI assistant took a little bit of time to assess her situation, before she gave out a hypothesis.

[It seems to be a time chamber.]

Michael couldn’t believe his eyes. Was it really a time chamber? Of course, he knew about such technology because of one of his favorite anime of all time.

In that story, the main characters were always faced with an opponent that was too strong for their current selves to face. But then, they would train in the time chamber, allowing them to train with the equivalent of months upon months on end with only a few days passing in the real world!

The island itself was kind of frozen in time. And of course, Michael took advantage of this and trained for many months until he was able to discover the true use of the Quantum Evolution swordstyle.

He had always found it a shame that he could only experience this kind of time freeze only when he was trying to finish the test of the Antique.

But it seemed that his all of his wishes were fulfilled!

As a reward for defeating those Nascent Spirit Unity Creatures, the monolith found it appropriate to give him a black igloo that was actually a time chamber!

So does this mean that I can take this back to the real world?

This was a reward with the same equivalence of importance as the internet cube itself! With this, he’d be able to train his soldiers, his men, and even himself as much as they wanted in a short amount of time!

This was great because their company was always thought of as an organization with a lot of potential. He was always being told that they just needed time before they were able to fight against the Conglomerates and elites of the world.

They were extremely talented, but time was still always the greatest teacher ever.

Their circumstances just didn’t give them the time to train much. Michael had a lot of plans that involved short and long term goals, meaning that he always had to keep a fast-pace when it came to progressing his company.

That’s why he had the duels, the Chasm, and everything else.

Michael then walked back towards the door and exited the black igloo.

As soon as he did, a strange force suddenly enveloped the entire black igloo, squeezing it tight until it began to diminish into a smaller size.

It didn’t take long before the entire structure could fit in the palm of his hands!

"Thank you for the gift!" he said to the island. He immediately put the miniature black igloo to his shadow Pocket Dimension.

Then, a powerful suction force took hold of his entire body, flinging him off of the island and down into the depths of the darkness below.

Michael opened his eyes, finding himself back to the real world. Judging from the clock in his office, it looked like time had only passed by a few hours.

He immediately left his office and went to the camp.

The Rebornian soldiers were all in a festive mood, drinking their beers and shouting triumphs all over the place.

They deserved this peace and celebrations. Later, he would give them this black igloo so that they could once again prepare for the future fights that they were going to take.

After they’ve defeated the Ease of Vindication, Michael was sure that their invitations for Sanctum Duels would completely come to a stop.

By now, they would have realized the Rebornian military strength.

Meaning, they would be free to continue their construction of the Bridge Town that Michael had planned from the beginning.

He flew out of the window and looked down into the Chasm.

Large cranes were now being positioned in the lip of the Chasm, some lowering steel beams into their designated positions. Now, the very skeletal structure of the bridge has been completed!

Michael looked down.

Two Shadow Orc Chieftains appeared floating right next to him. They kneeled and paid their respects.

"BU TO TO! Supreme Leader, you have called upon us?"

"I want you to find out everything that you can about Worcester Oscorpe," he said to them.

Hearing this, both Narito and Sasuki looked at each other. Of course, they knew who Worcester was. He was the 1st ranked heir of the Oscorpe Conglomerate!

"RAH TA TA! What are you planning, Supreme Leader?"

Michael smiled. "Well, they’ve schemed against us twice now. I think it’s high time we had payback."
