Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family
Chapter 1395: Expansion to the elites
On the Upper Queens region, there was a collection of towns and cities that were all controlled by the Upper Echelon companies and the Conglomerate subcompanies.
Suffice it to say, this kind of society was the very top of the top. The elites of the elites. They were the main target market for the Conglomerates, as their purchasing power was a hundred times more powerful than the normal citizen.
For example, the minimum wage for people in these kinds of cities were ranging in fifty thousand Sand Dollars a single month!
This was an absurd amount of money. They were basically the first-world country equivalent to this world. Perhaps, even more powerful than the most powerful country back in Michael’s world.
So, these people were accustomed to paying a lot of money in order to have their quality of living be the best it could be. Luxurious would be an understatement. These people would use gold as a way to wipe their own butts after using the toilet.
It was also one of the reasons why the Reborn company has yet to break through to this kind of society.
The Reborn company’s products were all catered towards the normal citizen. After all, they came from the Kings region, the very lowest and poorest region in all of the Royal Continent. So, their prices were dirt cheap compared to the ones in the Upper Queens region.
But even if they could afford it, Michael wouldn’t have changed his prices for the Kings region. After all, he intended his products to be used by everyone. Accessible to all. Comfort for the whole world was his own motto for life.
However, that was also the very same reason as to why some of the elites were turning up their nose when it came to the Rebornian products.
’Normal citizens are buying these products... it must not be good.’
’Everyone has it already... no need for me to buy one as well...’
’It costs that little?... I want something a little more extravagant.’
These were the kinds of conversations that were happening all over the Elite Society. It’s not that the Rebornian products weren’t good, it’s just that they were accessible to normal people. Too accessible. These elites wanted their products to be exclusive only to themselves.
That was how they maintained their superiority over others, after all.
Castelle had done her market research in the Elite Society. She had gone there herself to see how the Rebornian products would fare against the ones made by the Conglomerates and the Upper Echelons.
And the result was not good. These people were sheltered, spending the entirety of their lives living in their mansions and never going out of their own estates. They didn’t know anything about the outside world, or how the Rebornian products were changing the world.
They were ignorant because they didn’t know it.
Of course, this was all done purposefully by the Upper Echelons and the Conglomerates.
They had suppressed information about the Reborn Company so that their popularity and influence wouldn’t extend to the Elite Society, thereby allowing them to maintain control over the market.
It was a tactic that the Conglomerates liked to use.
But of course, it’s not like the Rebornian products were never introduced here in the Elite Society.
The Automobiles had, of course, started to spread to its citizens. According to Castelle, it looked like the towns and cities in the Elite Society were starting to change their roads to accommodate automobiles.
This should, of course, be a win for the Reborn company.
But that’s not what happened.
The automobiles had been stripped of all of the Rebornian symbols entirely. Now, no one in the Elite Society knew that this automobile was actually a product of the Reborn company!
Any automobile that had been exported to the Elite Society had been erased of all its Rebornian mark.
And no matter how frustrating this was, Michael couldn’t do anything about it. After all, the Elite Society was basically their own country. They had their own rules, and their own way of conducting their business.
Those who were not part of the Elite, were not allowed to partake in the business. So, they had all the legal reasons for them to strip the automobiles of the Rebornian symbol.
The good thing was that the companies didn’t try to pass it off as their own making.
They could resell the automobiles for a much higher price, but they could not declare that they were the ones who had the intellectual property over the automobile.
Yuna had made sure of that. She copyrighted the IP of the automobile to the Reborn company.
She even went to her grandmother, Xere Montgomery, and begged her to make sure that even the Elite Society would follow this rule.
So, the automobiles were just unmarked vehicles that the elite society enjoyed, not knowing who had made them.
That was at least, until today.
After all, the paperwork for their promotion to the Upper Echelon rank had been finalized!
They were now part of the Elite Society! Meaning, they could now bring their own products to those closed-off cities and towns, and declare it as theirs!
Michael was very excited with this.
"THANK YOU!" he said to Yuna.
She had her hands behind her back, swaying back and forth with a smile on her face. "Hehehe, I guess this means that you owe me once again."
Michael blushed. "I guess so, haha. I’ll make you more ice cream."
But Yuna shook her head. "Nope. I want a date."
Michael’s eyes widened. The Sanctum Duel and the Antique had taken his attention. But he never forgot that moment when Yuna kissed him.
"You better prepare yourself," Yuna said to him. "I’ll expect a good date sometime later."
And then, with those words, Yuna walked out of his office and left Michael flustered.
A few seconds later, Michael slumped into his chair with his face completely red, and smoke coming out of his ears. He was completely flustered!
