"Shen Nian, your husband is gorgeous!"

After she spoke, Qi Yunzhi’s stunned gaze remained glued to Lu Cheng.

It wasn’t like she hadn’t seen her fair share of handsome men—there were several in her own family! But she had to admit, the man standing before her was truly in a league of his own.

’He just seems a little cold, though.’

Of course, Shen Nian didn’t mind introducing Lu Cheng to the people in her life. In fact, she knew perfectly well that Lu Cheng wished the entire world knew he was her husband.

But seeing someone stare at Lu Cheng with such shining eyes... even if that person had no ill intentions, Shen Nian still felt a pang of jealousy.

’Hmph. No wonder Lu Cheng gets jealous so easily. Am I not the exact same?’

’What’s a girl to do when her husband is so exceptional? It’s a real problem!’

Thankfully, Qi Yunzhi realized it was rude to stare. She quickly pulled her gaze away from Lu Cheng and gave Shen Nian an apologetic smile.

"So, um, is your husband a student here too?"

"No, he already has a job."

"Oh, I see!"

’No wonder,’ she thought. ’He seems so much more mature than us. But if he’s already working and Shen Nian is still able to go to college, it just goes to show how well her husband treats her.’

"Your husband treats you really well."

"Yes, he does."

Shen Nian smiled at Qi Yunzhi. She had a pretty good impression of her new roommate. She was lively, but she also spoke and acted with a sense of propriety, never crossing any lines.

’Getting along with someone like her should be easy, if nothing else.’

"Alright, it’s all organized. Let’s go, we need to buy a few things."

Lu Cheng walked to Shen Nian’s side. He gave her roommate a simple nod, clearly not intending to make any further conversation.

"Okay."

Shen Nian nodded. While Lu Cheng had been helping her get organized, he’d noticed a few small things were still missing. The two of them had already decided to go out and buy them before Qi Yunzhi came in.

"We’ll be heading out then," Shen Nian said to Qi Yunzhi. "I’ll be back later."

"Okay, you two go ahead. My family will be here soon anyway."

With that, Qi Yunzhi waved goodbye to Shen Nian. She actually had things she needed to buy as well, but she was sharp enough not to be a third wheel.

’Besides, she’d noticed that while Shen Nian’s husband didn’t talk much, his possessiveness over her was intense! She had no desire to get on his bad side for no reason.’

’As for shopping with Shen Nian, they were roommates now. There would be plenty of opportunities in the future.’

After leaving the dorm, Shen Nian and Lu Cheng headed straight off campus. Shen Nian settled into the passenger seat, and just as she was about to ask Lu Cheng where they were going first...

...she felt Lu Cheng’s presence closing in, and then his lips captured hers.

The kiss was forceful and intense, instantly sweeping away all of Shen Nian’s thoughts.

Shen Nian felt she had no choice but to accept it and respond in kind.

Of course, she didn’t want any other choice, either.

The kiss lasted for a long time. By the time Lu Cheng finally let her go, Shen Nian was breathless. The very first thing she did was gasp for fresh air.

After taking a few deep breaths, Shen Nian found herself pulled tightly into Lu Cheng’s embrace.

"Nini, I’m angry."
