Return of the Celestial King
Chapter 503: Body Tempering Pill
It was clear that for people like them, such incredible feats were merely a part of their daily routine.
But it wasn’t over yet.
Another man in armor, frowning, slowly walked toward a deep crater.
This was the very crater that had been created when Jing Feng and Iron Elephant fought earlier.
Without a word, the armored man simply waved his hand.
And with that casual wave, something incredible happened.
The massive crater in the ground, formed from their battle, simply returned to its original, pristine state!
Qin Tuo’s mouth fell open, but he was too stunned to utter a single word.
He could only marvel at how incredibly powerful these people were. A feat like this was utterly beyond his reach at his current level.
After finishing their work, the four men inspected the area and confirmed the entire alley had returned to normal.
Only then did they seem satisfied. Without another word, they headed off into the distance.
Qin Tuo clearly saw that as they walked away, their figures gradually faded from solid to ethereal before vanishing completely, like phantoms…
The sight sent another profound shock through Qin Tuo!
He vaguely understood that this was a display of speed so extreme that they became afterimages, almost invisible to the naked eye.
After the four armored men left, Jing Feng’s expression relaxed considerably.
He was about to leave, but he seemed to recall something and stopped in his tracks.
Jing Feng studied Qin Tuo for a few moments, then let out a soft sigh.
Then, with a solemn expression, he took a black pill from within his robes.
The pill looked quite ordinary, but it radiated faint yet powerful fluctuations!
Qin Tuo knew at a glance that this pill must be something extraordinary.
Jing Feng tossed the pill to Qin Tuo, who caught it and began to examine it closely.
Then, Jing Feng slowly said to Qin Tuo:
“Your physical body is far too weak right now. This pill is for you.”
Qin Tuo nodded blankly, not yet having had the chance to fully appreciate the pill’s unique properties.
Jing Feng added another serious warning.
“Take this pill and leave the Capital City at once. Everything I told you before was for your own good, so don’t take it lightly!”
His tone was clearly heavy with warning.
But at that moment, Qin Tuo ignored the pill and pressed on with his questions.
“Senior, what exactly is the Huangfu Clan? And what is my relationship with the Huangfu Family?”
Qin Tuo couldn’t let it go. He had to get answers to these questions, or he would never find peace.
Jing Feng, however, simply shook his head, unwilling to answer.
But Qin Tuo pressed on.
“By the way, Senior, do you know who my mother is?”
After asking this, his eyes were fixed intently on Jing Feng.
Qin Tuo had always longed to know who his mother truly was.
Ever since finding the Jade Pendant, he had secretly suspected that his mother was trapped somewhere, unable to get free.
This was his best chance, and Jing Feng was likely the only person who could answer this most critical question.
But who would have thought that despite Qin Tuo’s desperation, Jing Feng seemed to ignore him completely. Clasping his hands behind his back, he turned and slowly walked away.
“Senior, don’t go!”
Qin Tuo shouted desperately.
However, Jing Feng paid him no mind, simply vanishing at the end of the alley.
In the end, only Qin Tuo was left, standing there in a daze as a thousand bitter feelings washed over him.
‘What a shame. I just missed such a perfect opportunity!’
Qin Tuo couldn’t help but shake his head and give a bitter smile, his face a mask of helplessness.
The crucial answers had seemed to be on the tip of his tongue, so why was Jing Feng unwilling to answer him directly?
‘Could it be that there are some unspeakable secrets behind all of this?’
The more Qin Tuo thought about it, the more frustrated he grew, his thoughts becoming a tangled mess.
The alley had now returned to normal, and many pedestrians began to filter in from the other end.
The sight brought Qin Tuo back to his senses, pulling him back to reality.
No one noticed that a terrifying battle between Cultivators had just taken place there.
People only gave Qin Tuo strange looks, wondering why he was standing there spacing out like an idiot.
Qin Tuo lowered his head, frowning as he carefully examined the mysterious black pill in his hand.
Sensing it up close now, he faintly detected a strange fluctuation of power within the seemingly small pill.
‘Huh, what is this power?’
Qin Tuo couldn’t resist sending a thread of his Spiritual Power into the pill to investigate.
The result made his heart pound violently in his chest!
He felt as though thunder was roaring inside the pill. He couldn’t imagine the terrifying power that would be unleashed if this potent lightning aura was released.
‘Heavens, how can a single pill contain such power of thunder and lightning? How is that even possible?’
Qin Tuo’s heart clenched at the thought.
Suddenly, a startling thought struck him…
‘Could this pill be the thing they were talking about, the one used for Body Tempering?’
He had overheard them talking about Body Tempering when he fought Iron Elephant.
Later, Jing Feng had also said his body was extremely weak and that he needed to undergo Body Tempering to grow stronger.
And then, he had given him this pill!
Naturally, Qin Tuo put all the pieces together.
To confirm his suspicion, Qin Tuo immediately turned and left.
He didn’t dare waste any more time. He wanted to seize this chance, use the pill, and see if it could bring about a massive improvement in his strength.
Soon, Qin Tuo was back in his hotel room.
No one had noticed his departure or his return; everything in the hotel was just as he had left it.
Qin Tuo went into his room, bolted the door shut, and took out the pill once more.
He stared at the pill for a moment, lost in thought, before swallowing it in one gulp.
After taking the pill, Qin Tuo sat on his bed, crossed his legs, and did his best to calm his mind.
He knew the pill was about to unleash its powerful effects!
Soon, a sudden change occurred.
Qin Tuo felt a strange power begin to surge slowly from his Dantian.
“Ah, it hurts…”
Qin Tuo’s brow immediately furrowed in pain.
