Having cultivated for so long, Qin Tuo’s willpower was already quite formidable.

But now, this power was almost more than he could withstand!

Then, the pain steadily doubled, as if a massive turbine was spinning and grinding away inside him, causing beads of cold sweat to drip down his forehead one after another.

At that moment, Qin Tuo had only one sensation: a pain like a lightning strike, coursing rapidly through every part of his body.

The power within this Spirit Medicine was also slowly being released, reaching its peak intensity.

If anyone had been there to see it, they would have been shocked to discover the clothes on Qin Tuo’s body slowly tearing apart, unable to withstand the impact of the tyrannical power surging from within!

By now, Qin Tuo’s willpower had reached its absolute limit, and he was on the verge of being unable to endure it any longer.

But this power was still intensifying, challenging his limits again and again!

This lightning-like pain seemed to be restructuring and tempering Qin Tuo’s body.

As time passed, a filthy substance also began to slowly seep out from all over the surface of Qin Tuo’s skin…

Meanwhile, Qin Tuo’s entire physical body began to gradually change, taking on a crystalline, translucent sheen!

But at the moment, Qin Tuo himself could not see this.

He was relying on pure instinct, a gut feeling telling him that he absolutely could not collapse—he had to force himself to endure!

Thus, relying on that singular instinct in his mind, Qin Tuo forced himself to endure the immense pain and circulate the Spiritual Power in his body, attempting to contend with the agony.

Fortunately, the Spiritual Power within his body had not yet spun out of control, and it responded immediately under his direction.

The Spiritual Power was like water from a stream, emerging slowly from all his meridians and acupoints, doing its best to help Qin Tuo fight the tearing pain.

Time flew by. Day and night cycled. After an unknown amount of time, Qin Tuo finally regained some of his senses.

He slowly opened his eyes, feeling as though an age had passed.

“Thank goodness I made it through. That was not easy!”

Qin Tuo forcefully exhaled a turbid breath, his entire body relaxing as if a great burden had been lifted. A wry smile touched his lips.

The process was quick to recount, but it had been incredibly perilous. For Qin Tuo, it was without a doubt a trip to death’s door.

Fortunately, however, Qin Tuo had ultimately pulled through on the strength of his own formidable will.

‘Let’s see what I’ve gained…’

Qin Tuo’s heart stirred with anticipation, and he slowly scanned his entire body.

A look of delight immediately appeared on his face.

Because Qin Tuo could clearly feel that his physical body was completely different than it was before!

His current body was filled with an extremely resilient power, and his skin even faintly emanated a crystalline, translucent light.

This was an immense gain, and it made Qin Tuo instantly understand that his previous method of only absorbing Spiritual Qi was completely wrong!

On the path of cultivation, Spiritual Qi was certainly important and could be used to improve one’s insights and realm, but the physical body was the true foundation of strength.

It was just like those Cultivators Qin Tuo had seen before, whose physical bodies were so incredibly tough that an ordinary person could not hope to move them.

In the face of an existence like that, what good was powerful Spiritual Qi if you couldn’t even breach their defenses!

Qin Tuo had an epiphany: the physical body was also crucial and must be developed in tandem.

Spiritual Power and the physical body were both sources of great strength.

This seemed to be an inspiration for Qin Tuo, making him realize that his past perspective had been far too narrow.

‘So the path of cultivation is this complex. It’s nothing like the simple thing I imagined.’

It took a long time for Qin Tuo to finally calm his racing heart.

Looking down, he couldn’t help but shake his head and laugh wryly.

He had been so focused on his cultivation that he hadn’t realized he was already stark naked.

Fortunately, since he was in his room, it wasn’t a big deal.

Qin Tuo figured that his clothes had been completely unable to withstand the impact of his body’s power during the Body Tempering process, so they had been shredded to pieces.

Qin Tuo climbed out of bed and walked straight to the bathroom.

He planned to take a good, long shower and then sleep soundly!

An unknown amount of time had passed since he had finished absorbing the Spirit Medicine, and Qin Tuo felt utterly exhausted.

Most importantly, his entire body felt as if it were caked in a layer of mud, and he couldn’t stand to look at it.

After his shower, an indescribable feeling of comfort washed over his entire body.

Furthermore, as Qin Tuo looked in the mirror, he had a strange feeling. He now had sharp, handsome features. ‘Have I gotten even better looking?’

Qin Tuo shook his head and gave a wry smile. To think that Body Tempering came with such a side benefit.

With that, Qin Tuo lay down on the bed, allowing his thoughts to gradually settle, ready to get some rest.

But at that moment, his phone suddenly rang.

Qin Tuo glanced at the caller ID and saw it was Kong Lianqing. He knew at once that something must have happened.

“Hello? Pavilion Master Kong, what’s wrong?”

Qin Tuo answered the call.

He had just spoken, but Kong Lianqing’s voice on the other end of the line was fraught with anxiety.

“Mr. Qin, we have a situation! I’ve found the people from the Miao Village!”

Hearing the urgency in Kong Lianqing’s voice, Qin Tuo immediately understood that the Security Pavilion must have already taken action.

Thus, Qin Tuo didn’t dare to delay and quickly nodded, saying:

“Alright, Pavilion Master Kong. I’ll be right there. Where are you?”

Kong Lianqing gave him a location, then urged anxiously:

“Mr. Qin, please get here right away and give me a hand. If you don’t come, I have no confidence I can deal with these guys.”

Qin Tuo could hear the desperation in Kong Lianqing’s voice, and he knew that the masters from the Miao Village were definitely not to be trifled with.

According to their prior agreement, Qin Tuo had to step in and help.

“Don’t worry, Pavilion Master Kong. I’m heading over right now. Do your best to hold your ground!”

Qin Tuo said reassuringly.

Hearing Qin Tuo say this, Kong Lianqing immediately felt much calmer.

He had been feeling completely unconfident, but now that he had received Qin Tuo’s definite answer, his worries naturally vanished.

And so, resigned to his fate, Qin Tuo could only temporarily abandon the idea of sleeping. He climbed out of bed again, quickly got dressed, and left the hotel.

Then, Qin Tuo headed toward the outskirts of the city, to the location Kong Lianqing had told him.
