Chapter 1437: Baby and I Are Waiting for You Together

Summer Sutton slightly furrowed her brow and thought about what he said.

Is that so?

The current Adrian Walyon is Watt Bennet, having no relation with Ryan Walyon, not even any business dealings. Why have dinner together suddenly?

As Summer Sutton pondered, a bad feeling suddenly rose in her heart.

Her gaze stiffened as she looked at Watt Bennet, feeling somewhat uneasy, “Do you really have to go?”

Actually, there’s nothing definite about it, but there are many things that need to be resolved together.

Seeing through her worries, Watt Bennet gently smiled, placed his hand on her back, and patted her shoulder reassuringly, “It’s just a meal, it’s no problem.”

He spoke lightly and casually; he’s always been keenly perceptive. Even Summer Sutton could sense something is amiss; surely Watt Bennet must know.

However, in front of Summer Sutton, he didn’t show anything at all.

From start to finish, he seemed like nothing was wrong, comforted her with a few words, then turned his head and prepared to leave.

Summer Sutton watched him intently, quietly observing him organizing items on his desk, changing into a suit, putting on a watch, tidying his attire.

At this moment, Watt Bennet seemed completely normal.

Yet, Summer Sutton’s intuition regarding Adrian Walyon has never been wrong.

She can feel that tonight’s dinner is unusual.

What she knows, she believes Watt Bennet knows too.

He still chooses to go; she knows Watt Bennet has his own motives.

A face-to-face, open conversation is really needed between him and Ryan Walyon.

Watt Bennet was already ready to go out, everything was sorted.

He turned his head, with his gaze lingering on her for quite a while before he spoke, “I’ll leave first then; I’ll ask the assistant to send you home later?”

“Okay.” The unease in Summer Sutton’s heart was strong, yet she feigned calm and nodded.

Watt Bennet glanced at her again, slowly heading towards the office door.

Summer Sutton’s eyes followed him, watching him walk away in front of her. Just as Watt Bennet was about to walk out of the office, she suddenly called out to him, “Adrian!”

Her voice was somewhat urgent, as if there was something she wanted to say to him, knowing that if she missed the chance now, there wouldn’t be another.

Watt Bennet paused in surprise, his face slowly turning to look at her.

Summer Sutton seemed a bit excited, her voice slightly choking, “I went for an ultrasound last night; we have a baby! One month, it’s already been one month!”

Watt Bennet obviously didn’t expect her to say this, stiffly standing at the doorway, seemingly shocked, only regaining his senses after quite a while, “What did you say?”

“I said we have a baby!” Summer Sutton repeated herself, walking slowly toward him, helping to straighten his suit, lifting her face, her eyes sparkling, “So, no matter what you go to do, remember my words. Think of me and the baby, we’re waiting for you at home. You must come back well, back to me, understand?”

Watt Bennet looked at her in shock, unable to believe she guessed everything.

Does she know what he’s going to do?

Summer Sutton, afraid he hadn’t taken her words seriously, persistently asked for a promise, “Did you hear me? You must promise me!”

Watt Bennet snapped back to reality, pulling her head into his chest, tightening his arms, holding her tightly, his heart pounding fiercely.

Summer Sutton could feel his excitement at this moment, and knew every heartbeat of his was conveying a specific emotion.
