Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure
Chapter 2495: How strong are they? (1)
"What are all these books?" Max was surprised by the pile that I brought back with me, but I didn’t bother explaining what these books were since there was something else that I wanted to share with him.
"Are these really all relics?" Though he asked this, the way that his eyes lit up showed that he already knew that this was the case.
Max was able to sense the energy coming from these relics, so he could tell that they were all immortal energy relics.
The only reason that he actually asked this question was because the appearance of all these immortal energy relics had completely caught him off guard. He never thought that all of these relics would appear all at once like this.
Only he was disappointed soon enough.
"You can’t break these."
The way that he looked at me was as if he had just suffered a large betrayal.
I knew why he felt this way since the main reason that I had gone looking for relics in the first place was to find things that he could destroy. But the fact that I was telling him that he wasn’t able to break these relics in front of him was going against that.
Only we really couldn’t break these relics since they were the ones that had been left by those people from the upper realm.
There really was no telling what would happen if we were to break them.
I didn’t think that there would be a response right after we broke them, but there was no doubt that there would be some consequences if it were to happen.
So the only thing that I could do was keep Max from breaking these relics.
Not that he would be able to break them unless I helped him with this.
The relics were full of immortal energy and that was what made them hard to destroy.
Just like the divine energy relics, they couldn’t be destroyed with normal methods. The special methods that could be used to destroy the immortal energy relics all used divine energy.
I was the only one that could provide divine energy on that level.
So to distract Max, I said, "I have something else that I want to test with you today."
He still didn’t seem happy about this, but he went along since he wanted to see what I wanted to test.
When I prepared the corruption energy samples, that was when his expression finally changed.
"Is it really time for that?"
I just gave a simple nod in response.
Before this, we had never actually tested the immortal energy against the corruption energy since we didn’t have that many relics. There was no telling if we would run out of the immortal energy, so I didn’t dare use it like that.
As for the plants that were infused with the immortal energy, it wasn’t as if they had that much of it that it would drain a relic. But at the same time, there wasn’t enough of it that it would do anything to the corruption energy.
It was different now that there were these relics that had been brought back.
With all of these relics, it wasn’t as if it would matter if one of the relics were to run out of immortal energy.
If it was used for this, then I could explain it to the immortals from the upper realm.
Corruption energy was something that was worthy of using the immortal energy against since it was a threat to everyone.
Once all of the corruption energy samples had been prepared, I pulled out a dagger that I was planning on using on them. This dagger was one of the only immortal energy relics that could be used for a fight.
Only before I could actually use it, Max suddenly said, "Wait!"
I turned to look at him with one brow raised, but it didn’t seem like he even cared to explain what he wanted to do. In fact, he even ran out of the room that we were in as if he was going to grab something.
It was a good thing that the place that he ran to was a room that was connected to this one, so it wasn’t as if I had to wait that long.
When he came back, he was carrying all kinds of things that I didn’t recognize at all.
These were things that I could tell would be used for measuring something, but it didn’t seem like anything that he had created before. There were a few parts of this equipment that seemed familiar, but it was also completely different from before.
"Are these new things that you created to measure immortal energy?"
Though I asked this, I already knew what the answer would be with the way that he was setting these things up.
Once he was done, he looked at me to say, "You can start now."
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a wry smile when I saw that he didn’t even bother answering the question that I had asked him. Though it wasn’t as if I was surprised since I knew what kind of personality Max had.
When he was focused on something, he was the kind of person that just forgot about everything else around him.
So instead of bothering to argue with him, I focused on the dagger that I was holding.
It was my first time using the dagger, so it wasn’t as if I knew what exactly I was doing with it.
In fact, it didn’t even seem like immortal energy was being released by the dagger when I was holding it. So it didn’t seem like this dagger was actually an immortal energy relic.
While holding it, I was at a bit of a loss as to how to even activate this thing.
Which meant that during the process, I couldn’t help inadvertently releasing something that I didn’t mean to release.
"Why is there a response from it?"
