Slowly Falling into His Love Trap
Chapter 712: Isn't It All Because of Love?
Ashley Sutton was completely startled by Logan Shaw.
She thought, this man in front of her must be crazy!
“You… you don’t need to be… so polite.” Ashley’s lips curled awkwardly, “I’m already grateful that you let me treat you without ruining my reputation.”
Listening to Ashley’s words, Logan couldn’t help but laugh.
“Alright.” Logan responded, “Aren’t you a foodie? From now on, I will definitely treat you to all the fine dining as thanks.”
“I can’t tell if you’re drunk or your soul has left your body.” Ashley shook her head, “Can you be a bit more normal?”
“Normal! He’s as normal as can be right now!” Evelyn Morgan quickly chimed in, “Ashley, you should give Logan a thorough check-up! His hand is the most crucial, if it can fully recover, that would be perfect!”
Then she added a sentence: “Even if it can’t fully heal right away, after some effort and exercise, I’m sure it’ll recover!”
“It will!” Logan nodded, “Evelyn, don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
Evelyn responded, seeing Logan and Ashley leave first to treat his hand. Evelyn stood there in a daze, watching their silhouettes as they drove away.
“Cece.” Evelyn’s voice was very soft, “Isn’t this like a dream?”
“It seems not.” Cecilia Lynch shook her head, “Though I’m also puzzled by Logan’s sudden change, changing is better than not, right?”
Evelyn nodded, “You’re right, changing is better than not changing.”
“Then let’s leave the rest to Ashley!” Cecilia Lynch breathed a sigh of relief, “My task is complete, time to head home! Otherwise, Julian will see I’m not home when he returns from work and I’ll surely get a thorough talking-to.”
As she spoke, Cecilia’s face turned red.
Evelyn slyly looked at Cecilia, instantly understanding the meaning behind “a thorough talking-to.”
After spending so much time with Caden Lockwood, Evelyn felt she’d completely become a “veteran.”
“What exactly have you been learning from your husband!” Cecilia gently tapped Evelyn’s shoulder in embarrassment, “Can you learn something good?”
“I didn’t say anything!” Evelyn laughed joyfully, “Tell me! How’s your marriage with Julian? His parents still haven’t agreed?”
Evelyn remembered Cecilia had mentioned last time that Julian planned to hold a wedding for her, but the specific date was still undecided.
Hearing Evelyn’s question, Cecilia’s gaze dimmed, her face showing a bitter smile.
“Julian and I have been quarreling about this issue.” Cecilia sighed, “I don’t want to have the wedding without his parents’ approval, but he insists on holding it.”
“Cece…”
“Honestly, just being together with him like this, I’m already very satisfied.” Cecilia said softly, “I dare not ask for more.”
“Julian loves you, which is why he wants to give you a grand wedding.” Evelyn comforted, “And you love him, which is why you don’t want to make things difficult for him. Both of you act out of love; neither is right or wrong.”
“Yes!” Cecilia replied, “So, I really don’t know what to do.”
“Talk to him sincerely, don’t worry.” Evelyn laughed, “Now, our lives seem to have seen the light of day after the storm! We must be grateful, right?”
