Chapter 71 | Three Star BOSS Monster!
Chapter 71: 71 | Three Star BOSS Monster!
Inside the observation room, the silence was a different kind of heavy.
Principal Constant stood with his arms folded, staring at the massive holographic screens that showed Andrew’s battle in real time. His eyes were narrowed, but a tiny smile played at the corners of his mouth.
Behind him, three Era Association officials watched with their mouths slightly open.
One of them, a younger man named Kellan, swallowed audibly and pointed at a damage readout. "He just dealt over two thousand damage... with pure physical attacks. No bloodline activation. No abilities. No enhancement skills. That’s... that’s just raw force."
Another official, an older woman with silver streaks in her hair, shook her head slowly. "He registered as a Level 7 Ultra. But the damage output he’s showing... that isn’t Level 7. That’s not even close."
Constant let out a low chuckle. "I knew it." His voice carried quiet satisfaction. "The son of Adric and Elena would never produce useless offspring. So, boy... you’ve been hiding your strength all this time."
Kellan turned to the principal, his face pale. "Principal Constant, with respect... if he’s Level 7, these numbers are impossible. He’s fighting like someone at least Level 10. Possibly higher." He looked back at the screen, where Andrew was now stretching his arms lazily inside the simulation. "This student... he’s a monster."
"Monster?" Constant’s grin widened. "I like that."
...
On the screen, the gray wasteland flickered.
New cracks were forming in the earth. The mechanical voice echoed again, signaling the start of the D-Rank trial.
Andrew stood alone at the center, sword resting on his shoulder, a faint smirk on his face.
The mechanical voice echoed across the empty battlefield once more, cold and clear.
[E-Rank Trial Completed.]
[Preparing D-Rank Trial...]
[Third Wave Beginning In 10 Seconds.]
Andrew stood still in the center of the cracked earth.
For the first time since stepping into this exam, his eyes sharpened.
The earlier waves had been a joke. Too weak. But the pressure had changed.
Then the ground began to shake.
"BOOOOM."
The dry battlefield split open in front of him. Cracks spread like spiderwebs, stretching dozens of meters outward. A low growl rumbled up from somewhere deep beneath the earth. It wasn’t a single voice, it was overlapping, like multiple throats growling at once.
Andrew narrowed his eyes. "Here we go."
A colossal arm shot up through the broken ground. Then another arm. Then the whole creature heaved itself upward, dirt and rock sliding off its shoulders.
This was nothing like the Rhino Demons from before. Those had been big. This was a massive. It stood nearly ten meters tall, its muscular body looking like it had been carved from pure steel.
And above its massive body, three heads moved independently
Each head was a rhinoceros skull, but larger, uglier, with horns that curved forward like siege weapons. Steam poured from their nostrils in hot, angry bursts.
Andrew barely had time to take it all in before the ground erupted again. Another one climbed out. Then another. Then a fourth. And a fifth. Five of them. Each one a walking fortress. The air itself grew heavy just from their presence.
A notification flickered in front of his eyes.
[Three-Star Boss Three-Headed Rhino Demon.]
[HP: 15,000]
Then, above each monster, floating red bars appeared. Not one health bar. Three separate bars, stacked on top of each other. Andrew stared at them calmly.
Boss monsters. And not ordinary bosses. Two-star bosses.
That meant each one was two times stronger than a standard boss creature.
He couldn’t help but think back to the Heaven’s Domain. That king Grey Rat he had barely managed to defeat had only been a two-star.
And that thing had nearly killed him. These creatures were on an entirely different level. Stronger. Tougher. And there were five of them at once.
A slow breath escaped his lips. If this had been inside the Heaven’s Domain, the rewards would have been insane.
Boss monsters always dropped the best loot. Rare equipment. Skill books. Massive experience bonuses.
Sometimes even hidden treasures.
Killing five of them at the same time, in a place like the Beginner Village, would have made countless players lose their minds with greed.
Sadly, this wasn’t the Heaven’s Domain. This was just a simulation.
"What a waste," Andrew muttered under his breath.
The five giants began to move. Their footsteps were slow but heavy, each one making the ground shake violently.
They formed a loose circle around him, cutting off any easy escape.
"ROOOOOAAAAR!!!"
One of them threw its three heads back and let out a roar that vibrated through Andrew’s chest.
A small smile pulled at the corner of Andrew’s mouth.
"Come on, then."
For a brief second, he considered using his talents. But he pushed the thought away immediately. Everyone knew he only had an E-Rank talent. If he suddenly pulled out abilities far beyond what he had shown publicly, questions would start flying.
But there was one thing he no longer had to hide.
Earlier that day, during the assassination attempt outside the academy, he had already revealed traces of his bloodline.
So using it now wouldn’t raise new questions. It would just confirm what a few people already suspected.
Andrew’s eyes darkened. Without another moment of hesitation, he activated it.
Instantly, a terrifying pressure exploded outward from his body.
"BOOOOOOM."
Dark crimson energy erupted around him like violent flames.
His muscles began to expand rapidly, stretching his clothes tight. Bones shifted with deep, grinding sounds. His body enlarged, shooting upward until he stood nearly five meters tall.
Dark energy flowed around his massive frame like a cloak.
The veins beneath his skin pulsed with violent power, glowing faintly red. His hands, now huge and clawed, tightened into fists.
Primordial Magus Bloodline Activated.
Every one of his physical parameters surged upward at 2x.
The silver sword in his hand, which had seemed large before, now looked almost proportionate to his transformed body. He tightened his fingers around the grip and the blade hummed with energy.
