Chapter 93 | Fox Girls & Paradise In Hell!

Chapter 93: 93 | Fox Girls & Paradise In Hell!

The team soon entered the outer settlement built around the dimensional gate, and Andrew was caught off guard.

He’d expected a military camp. Instead, a whole small city had sprung up. An entire civilization built around the zone.

Rows of buildings stretched outward, hotels, restaurants, equipment shops, auction houses, portable housing units, trading posts, supply depots. The place buzzed with life. If Andrew hadn’t known better, he would’ve thought this was the zone itself.

People moved everywhere. Ultras with hauling monster corpses over their shoulders. People haggled over glowing monster cores. Groups of hunters argued deals loudly. It felt alive, chaotic, and deeply profitable. Andrew observed it all quietly.

Then his eyes went wide as much to his astonishment, a woman walked past.

She was tall, slender and impossibly graceful.

Her waist was tiny, her but large, her thighs thick with long legs and her eyes were beautiful.

Suddenly Andrew noticed her ears and his expression stiffened and he thought he must have been dreaming because her ears were long, pointed and fluffy.

He noticed her incredible back side and saw fox like tail behind her.

Wait. That’s... a Fox girl? A real life fox girl?

Before he could process it, Michael’s hand slammed down on his shoulder hard enough to make him stumble.

Michael grinned. "I see... we are kindred spirits." He laughed. "You noticed her immediately too, right? The fox girl."

Andrew looked stunned. Michael crossed his massive arms, proud to play teacher. "You’re new, so let me explain. Inside dimensional zones, sometimes you run into special events and missions with unique rewards. Or come into contact with other things. And sometimes, those rewards aren’t items." He smirked.

"They’re racial evolutions. Some people get Elf race, some become Dwarves, some awaken Vampire evolution, some turn into Werewolves. Some into bunng girls and fox girls like you’ve seen."

Michael’s licked his lips as he faded into his imagination for a second.

Andrew’s eyes widened.

But then Michael’s expression grew serious. "The abilities you gain inside dimensional zones carry over into the real worl, just like entering through teleportation. But this place is different. You can take things in and out of a dimensional zone without paying too much of a cost. That’s why these places are worth more than gold."

John added calmly, "And why governments fight wars over controlling them."

Andrew finally understood. These dimensional zones weren’t just death traps. They were worth a whole lot more.

After walking a while longer, John stopped and pointed at a nearby building. "First, we eat."

Michael practically roared. "YES!" Klen sighed. "Of course..." Lucy rolled her eyes. Jasmine just laughed.

The group ducked into the restaurant. It wasn’t fancy like the ones back in Maryland City, but it was clean and warm and comfortable.

Inside, Ultras filled the tables, some laughing over drinks, others deep in mission talk, a few still wearing armor stained with fresh monster blood. The smell of roasted meat hung thick in the air.

The team ordered. Lucy ate very little, quiet and elegant. Jasmine picked lightly too, though Andrew caught her glancing at him now and then for reasons he couldn’t guess.

But the men were another story. Michael slammed both hands on the table. "Bring me everything." Klen casually ordered five dishes.

John ordered enough for three people.

Andrew stared for a second, then shrugged. No point holding back. He ordered even more.

Ten minutes later, the food arrived. Massive roasted beast meat, steamed vegetables, rice dishes, monster bone soup, grilled skewers.

The group tore in immediately. Within minutes, Michael stopped eating.

He looked at Andrew. Then at Andrew’s plate.

Then at the growing mountain of empty dishes beside him. His mouth twitched. "...Impossible."

John stared. Klen adjusted his glasses. Even Lucy looked surprised. Andrew kept eating, calm as ever.

Jasmine burst into laughter. "Hahaha!"

Michael pointed at him accusingly. "Captain! This guy eats more than me!"

The whole table cracked up. Even Lucy smiled faintly as the tension around Andrew vanished completely.

After the meal, John led Andrew into another small shop nearby. He walked straight to the counter.

"One Translation Talisman."

The clerk nodded and handed over a glowing silver talisman. John passed it to Andrew. "It automatically translates languages. Once you attach it, anything you say will come out as the language of the person you’re speaking to. Same for what you hear, it’ll translate into something you understand."

Andrew examined the talisman, then pressed it against his neck.

The silver dissolved into particles of light and vanished into his skin. He touched the spot.

Nothing. Like it had never been there.

John smiled. "Try speaking."

Andrew thought for a moment, then said a few foreign words he remembered from school.

The sounds that left his mouth had shifted completely.

The others nodded. "It works." Andrew smiled. Interesting technology.

Soon, the team finally approached the massive gate.

The soldiers guarding it were armed to the teeth, heavy rifles, combat armor, turrets mounted on both sides.

Andrew watched in silence as other teams came staggering out.

Some hunters were covered head to toe in blood.

Others dragged severed monster limbs. Some laughed with victory; others looked hollowed out.

One group came rushing through screaming.

A man had half his chest torn open, blood pouring down.

Within seconds, a medical team surged forward and hauled him away.

Andrew took it all in without a word. The dimensional zone was beautiful in its way, but death stalked every corner of it.

John stepped forward and handed over several documents. "Our team is entering the Frontier Continent." The soldier nodded.

"Identification cards."

Everyone presented their licenses.

When the soldier reached Andrew, his eyes paused on the black S-Rank card, but his expression didn’t shift.

This place had seen its share of monsters. He came here six months whom and this was the 9th S card he had seen so he wasn’t surprised.

He handed the card back and spoke coldly. "You are granted a three-day access pass."

He passed them a glowing metallic badge. "You’re only authorized to remain inside for three days. Exceed that, and you’ll be fined."

Andrew nearly blinked. Fined?

The soldier went on. "And remember, twenty percent of all obtained resources must be surrendered to the Association upon return."

Andrew almost frowned. Twenty percent? That’s just legalized robbery! They risked their lives out there only to give ghe government 20%?

How the hell is that done? It’s not as though the government personally created the dimensional zones themselves.

But he stayed quiet as there was no point complaining.

John simply nodded. "Understood." The soldier stepped aside. "You may proceed."

The six of them walked forward into the mist. Immediately, cold fog licked against Andrew’s skin.

Visibility dropped to nothing. White swirled everywhere.

For several long seconds, he could see absolutely nothing. Then, all at once, the mist fell away and sunlight exploded across his vision.

Andrew stopped walking. His eyes went wide. The world before him was breathtaking.

Golden sunlight poured from a vast blue sky.

The air was crisp and clean, fresher than anything back on Earth.

A gentle wind swept across endless grasslands dotted with colorful flowers.

Massive ancient trees swayed in the distance. Bird-like creatures soared overhead. Everything felt alive, pure, untouched.

He turned slowly. Behind him, a wall of mist stretched in a perfect line. He understood immediately, the fog itself was the gate.

Step back through it, and he’d return straight to the military city. The transfer happened inside the mist.

Andrew faced forward again. Sunlight warmed his face. The scent of flowers filled the air. The sheer beauty of the continent left him speechless. For a moment, he almost forgot this was a place of danger. It felt like paradise.

He whispered softly, "...Beautiful."
