Chapter 2067: Order and Disorder (III)

Li Hao looked at Chaos Sky major world in front of him. It was a lovely world. All desire, emotion, ambition, confusion, and darkness had been expelled. It looked like a sacred utopia, one perhaps yearned for by countless people...

But it also seemed a bit fake and hypocritical.

“The future... should not look like this. Thus, the changing of the times still occurs in the future chaos!”

That was still how people could walk out of the future, and how he’d glimpsed that person from the future. There would still be a new master of the future to come.

After laying eyes on Chaos Sky major world, Li Hao had more thoughts in mind. The things he kept turning over should not be eradicated from order. Desire might be a person’s biggest enemy, but it needed to exist.

One just needed to learn how to control and repress it.

“Also... where did the emotions, desire, and darkness of countless cultivators and mundanes go?” Li Hao jerked from those implications and sank into deep thought.

These were naturally existences that were always there and constantly being born. The same went for the humans in the divine nation.

They were just temporarily suppressed.

It resulted in the humans of the divine nation being like the living dead, the equivalent of having snuffed out their sentience. They were in a sealed, silent state.

But the Chaos Sky cultivators were alive, thriving, and even acting very normally. So that meant someone had extracted all of their darkness, emotions, and desire, leaving behind everything else.

Chaos Sky?

But...

That would mean all of it had gathered on Chaos Sky!

Li Hao’s eyes widened. This would result in a much stronger Chaos Sky than any of them currently anticipated! The benevolent daoist would be the most terrifying of all once he succumbed to the dark side.

The Exalted Disorder Emperor’s eyes snapped open as the man frowned. So fast!

Was Chaos Sky that assured of himself?

He abruptly took to the air and permitted his presence to extend. Heavyweights quickly arrived around him. Some were confused, others were fearful.

“Our enemy has come!” Disorder intoned. “Perhaps you are not familiar with me, but all of you are here due to orders from your dao master. You will have to exert yourself today in order to help your dao master descend and for the chaos to no longer confine certain people!

“Chaos Sky of the west has inherited the legacy of order. Order appears to be good, but it is the most tyrannical out of all great daos! Everything needs to fall under order—that is the truest meaning of order!

“The Order master constructed the nine layers of the chaos a million years ago, suppressing all of the worlds and great daos with order!

“Cultivators spent their days in perpetual fear. The existence of order was an extinction event for all of them! There were tribulations in all of the layers. Advancing one step on the path of cultivation was harder than mundanes ascending the heavens!

“The existence of time might represent eternity and immortality, yet it might not be our biggest enemy. It is the existence of order that is our greatest opponent!”

Not everyone would agree with what he said, but it was what he felt from the bottom of his heart. Order was their greatest enemy.

Cultivators that defied the heavens did not need an order dao that suppressed everything. The Order master did not understand that. Would the current generation Chaos Sky be any different?

Why did he believe that cultivators would voluntarily accept this kind of order?

Cultivation and the pursuit of immortality was to go against the heavens in the first place. Shattering the restrictions of mortality and life was to defy the heavens.

“Skymetal and Golden Sun, you two come with me!” Disorder sped outside the world.

There were many powerhouses within Five Elements. Skymetal and the rest were both nervous and excited. Was Chaos Sky coming?

Skymetal made quick arrangements, leaving two eighth ranks from his outer circle to hold down the fort in Five Elements. Everyone else was to follow them out of the world and into the void.

The ninth layer.

Disorder and order began to clash against each other.

Chaos strength churned through the worlds like it was a gigantic vortex. Waves of energy reared before either side reached the battlefield.

Chaos Sky and his people stopped at the edge of the vortex. Gale winds of chaos energy swept through everyone, obliterating the dust in the chaos. A very faint spirit began to permeate through the void.

Dao rules of disorder and order clashed against each other. One domain rose while another fell. Both sides were constructing their domains of battle, ones that seemed to encompass all nine layers.

A moment later.

The two sides looked at each other through the void. They were so close that they could fully see their opponents.

Chaos Sky stood with his hands behind his back, peering into the distance with a deep look in his eyes. In contrast, dao strength snapped in wild disarray around Disorder. He seemed like the initial burst of the chaos that led to its formation.

Worlds rose and fell. One thought gave life, another destroyed it.

Spirits clashed.

Some seventh ranks were already struggling to breathe.

The look in Disorder’s eyes shifted as he looked at the daoist standing in the void. “Order?” he laughed after a long pause.

“No, I am Chaos Sky!” Chaos Sky shook his head. “I am the sky of the chaos! Order is not the one and only. The chaos needs a sky, one in which order is the mainstream dao and disorder also exists. The sky of the chaos encompasses all things!”

“Hah!” Disorder barked with laughter. “And I thought you just chose a random dao moniker. So there’s this level of meaning to it! Whether you are Order or Chaos Sky, you’re highly delusional if you want to elevate order over others!”

“It’ll be very hard to do so, but I will do it!” Chaos Sky didn’t fly into a rage. “You must understand, Disorder, that all things and the human heart, as well as the chaos, crave order. They do not desire endless disorder!

“Whether it is mundanes or cultivators, not everyone wishes to become an overlord. Although order will interfere with some people, it is the ultimate desire for many. The rule of the majority is also a law of the chaos!”

Light seemed to blossom from the surroundings at his statement. The spirit of great dao trembled and the dao strength of disorder was suppressed. The vortex was forced to halt its motion.

Endless chaos strength morphed from mass of churning confusion to extremely gentle energy.

“You see?” Chaos Sky said slowly. “Even the chaos doesn’t wish to randomly rampage around. Why do you not understand it, when you yourself are a ninth rank? You are the dao master of disorder. If you invested full force into suppressing disorder and became its wielder, not its creator, then you would be stronger!”

“I can do that, but who says that I must do it for you?” Disorder smirked. “Why do I act for the good of order? What you see as order is not what I see as order, isn’t that so?”

“Stubborn and recalcitrant,” Chaos Sky sighed. “You might make some sense, but you still don’t understand that you... are not the mainstream!”

“Only the victor has the right to determine that. You are not order either, Chaos Sky. Your arrogance is completely unwarranted!”

Heaven and earth fell apart!

Endless dao strength stirred furiously. The vortex that’d drifted apart earlier reformed, howling through the worlds. When it grazed Chaos Sky’s side, some of the weaker Nine Layer Guards shook. They were having trouble standing straight against such formidable and jumbled dao strength.

Such was to be a ninth rank!

Even a ninth rank not in peak condition was terrifyingly strong. Disorder was here with his primary body, not a replica.

Chaos Sky shook his head. As expected, everyone had their own dao spirit at this level. Their great daos were alive and would not be swayed by a few words. Discussing dao before battle simply consolidated one’s dao heart.

Since you refuse to see the light, Disorder... then... die!

It took only a moment!

Overwhelming strength rose as Chaos Sky disappeared. “Kill them!” His voice left a ringing order. The man had disappeared into another plane. “I await you there, Disorder!”

Disorder’s eyes widened imperceptibly as he fought to keep his surprise under control. “Well well,” he snorted. “Very good, I’ll give you a try!

“Kill the Nine Layer Guard!” He also left instructions as he disappeared. “Remember, the Nine Layer Guard are puppets of the former Order master. They are the butcher knives as wielded by Order. I have a chance to kill Chaos Sky only after you kill them!”

He was gone, having seen through Chaos Sky’s plan. The Nine Layer Guard was the latter’s right hand men and a key component to order. That dao would be destabilized when this tool was gone.

Do you really think I don’t understand it, Chaos Sky?

High up in the void, seemingly the edge of the chaos.

Two men manifested.

This was a face-off between the daos of order and disorder. Dao strength took the shape of two howling dragons. One was pure and sacred, the other was a motley array. The entire chaos seemed to shake when they clashed against each other.

It was a collision between light and darkness, order and disorder.

The two shadows seemed to stand at the peak of the chaos as they exchanged blows. They made no sound as countless dao rules flared to life or dimmed in extinguishment. Disorder ripped through order whenever it rose.

Disorder erupted, order shattered.

The Disorder master appeared to summon countless worlds with a thought, sending endless wars and disasters through them. Such was calamity, which was also disorder.

“When heaven and earth came to be, the chaos formed, and life was born... Their origin was disorder!” He boomed like a bell. “You seek to build order and eliminate disorder, which means you seek to extinguish the source origin!”

The strength of disorder filled the vicinity. Shattered fragments of disorder were everywhere, making it impossible for order to be established.

“When it comes to the origin of life, good and evil are not constant,” Chaos Sky responded calmly. “Only order lives on eternally! Confusion and upheaval is only temporary, order is forever! Education and civilization are inevitable when it comes to order. The eternity of time and the end of time will only be order!”

“You have quite the nerve to say that!” snorted Disorder. The end of time was order?

He’s got balls!

Order collapsed when Disorder exerted his dao. All life suffered in misery. Dao strength swept through the premises, extracting all of the energy caused by the upheaval. Destruction was easy, construction was hard.

Chaos Sky, let’s see if you build faster or if I destroy faster!

The dragon of dao strength howled when Disorder waved a hand, destroying everything in sight. Worlds shook as any place that was destroyed promptly became a domain of disorder.

Chaos Sky likewise waved a hand, constructing an organized domain of peace. However, his speed was slightly slower as construction was never as fast as destruction.
