Chapter 2136: The Descent of Three Generations (IV)
“The entire chaos universe knew when your Myriad Realms was established!” Chaos Sky frowned slightly before quickly recovering his calm. “You might be unaware of certain things before it came to be, such as Li Hao killing countless beings to craft your chaos.
“He also seized one of my treasures to do so, the Heaven’s Stratagem. I’m here to recover that treasure! Li Hao is the demon of the chaos and shed an endless amount of blood in pursuit of his goals...”
“Li Hao? The dao master of time?” Su Yu asked, in a daze. “He is... a demon?”
“He is!” Chaos Sky nodded affirmatively. He was being very easy to talk to as he felt that the person in front of him wasn’t weak and quite orderly to boot. It felt like he valued rules and customs, so it’d be for the best if Chaos Sky could successfully retrieve Heaven’s Stratagem.
Whatever happened, he needed his treasure back.
“Everyone has a duty to exterminate demons!” Su Yu inclined his head. “I detest those who kill innocents. Unrest beset Myriad Realms for many years and we suffered untold casualties as a result. Demons rampaged through our universe.
“There were some legends about the master of time in Myriad Realms, so we thought he was an upstanding and moral person. Who would’ve thought that he is a demon instead? What a shame.
“I have never seen the Heaven’s Stratagem that Emperor Chaos Sky speaks of,” Su Yu smiled. “Why is it called that?”
“The dao of order has become part of the river of dao,” answered Chaos Sky. “I’ve observed the daos you cultivate and find that each of you bear some dao of order. If you can extract some, it will be sure to coalesce as Heaven’s Stratagem...”
“I think... I understand.” Su Yu’s eyes widened. “But that is the source of the rules in Myriad Realms. If I extract it, our home will no longer exist...”
He was perplexed by the thorny issue and looked dejectedly at those behind him. “The dao rules of Myriad Changes... seem to have been derived by the treasure that this senior speaks of. The master of time is the worst beneath the heavens! How could he have seized someone else’s belongings just to satisfy his own selfish desires?! How despicable!”
“It’s damnable!”
“Absolutely evil!”
“The belongings of others should not be stolen or robbed!”
“There is a high moral standard in Myriad Changes. How is such a person our founder??”
“......” The cultivators behind Su Yu expressed varying degrees of displeasure.
Su Yu took out a book. Many others followed suit when they saw his actions. Chaos Sky blinked with surprise, as did Skyward’s replica in the distance raise an eyebrow.
A bunch of... scholars?
How interesting.
Dao rules flourished into being over the book, becoming a forest of dao rules.
Su Yu looked at Chaos Sky and sighed with emotion, “We are scholars and place a heavy emphasis on the rules. The master of time stole someone else’s greatest treasure to establish the river of dao.
“These actions run counter to our principles! Everyone should hunt down a demon. Since this is the senior’s treasure... we will naturally return it to you!” Su Yu sighed again, “Although it will weaken us somewhat and break some of our dao rules, we must remember that we are not to covet our neighbor’s possessions.
“Taking them is theft and a crime! Everyone, strip out your dao rules and condense them into the book to return them to the senior. He will be able to build Heaven’s Stratagem anew from it...”
“Emperor Yu, Myriad Realms will be destabilized if we are stripped of the dao rules. We cannot do this...” Some of his older courtiers were unwilling, to which Su Yu vehemently disagreed with.
“We cultivators are educated and civilized,” he hectored. “How can we build our accomplishments off the back of someone else’s treasure? This act goes against our morals. How can we take the senior’s treasure if he hasn’t given it to us?”
Some in his group looked beseechingly at Chaos Sky, as if begging the man to declare it a gift. It made Chaos Sky rather uncomfortable and unused to the situation. He’d simply raised the issue, was this Emperor Yu... really going to return it to him?
He hadn’t thought it’d be this easy and suspected foul play instead. Therefore, he didn’t say a word for the moment.
Emperor Yu didn’t say much else either. He gradually extracted a character from his book—order!
The dao river shook as soon as he did so.
The power of order floated out of the books of the rest and slowly condensed into a book in the void. Another group of people rushed over from the distance as this happened.
“Don’t!” someone grunted. Calamity and the rest were losing their minds!
How could such an idiot even exist?! How was this happening?? Was he really just handing it over?!
They’d thought that Su Yu was just running his mouth, but who would’ve thought that he’d actually split out the power of dao rules from their river?! Was he crazy??
Or had he lost his brains somewhere among all the books that they’d read?!
But could an addled person become the master of Myriad Realms?
They looked at each other with disbelief!
Not to mention, this person hadn’t appeared to be a fool when he withstood the thunder tribulation!
What was going on?!
“And these people are?” Su Yu frowned. “Forget it. Emperor Chaos Sky, if you respected the rules as well, how could you permit others to interrupt when you and I converse? One cannot accomplish anything without rules!
“The power of disorder within your body is a bit too dense. That is likely the result of the rules dissipating. Those of Myriad Realms are willing to coexist peacefully with the chaos. The unrest of exalted emperors cannot be repeated!
“I am not a stickler for convention either. I hereby return order so that you may build your rules and restore peace to the chaos. Otherwise, the dominance of disorder means that a nation falls apart and monsters flourish!”
A new book appeared in Su Yu’s hands when he finished. It was the book of order!
The character emblazoned on it glimmered with resplendence, as if all of the order and dao rules within existence were contained within it.
Su Yu slowly sent the book forward toward Chaos Sky.
“Please accept this, senior emperor,” the youngster said sincerely. “It might not be the same as the original, since we do not know what the Heaven’s Stratagem looked like. I hope that the senior will be able to perfect order after obtaining these dao rules.
“A nation without a ruler is doomed to fall into confusion and a chaos without a master is certain to die!”
Chaos Sky’s jaw dropped. He was utterly taken aback! Everything was happening too easily, absolutely too easily. The extremely wary man couldn’t believe it and was on pins and needles as the book flew his way.
How was this possibly happening to him??
These people had walked out with tremendous might. Even if this Emperor Yu wasn’t as strong as him, he definitely rivaled Li Hao at the young man’s strongest. That made Emperor Yu a premier heavyweight as well.
I only raised the request! But...
Chaos Sky could sense immense strength of order coming toward him. It’d undergone repairs, supplementation, and perfection from generations upon generations of cultivators. They’d jointly contributed to a stronger force of order!
All of it was contained within the book. If Chaos Sky devoured it, it would combine with the formidable disordered darkness within him. He might be outright propelled to ninth rank!
It was an incredible feeling! It was so surreal that it felt like he was dreaming.
Chaos Sky hesitated, not daring to just accept it like this. But he still reached out, sending forth a wave of dao strength to the book. He stared at Su Yu. The other looked back very sincerely.
Skyward’s replica jolted with shock in the distance. Seriously? What the fuck?!
He dashed over. This could not be permitted!
Chaos Sky was already much stronger than before, what with the power of disorder in him. If he really absorbed those dao rules, that would balance disorder and order. He might spontaneously break through to ninth rank and even surpass the ninth ranks that’d descended today.
That would not be allowed to happen!
Everyone was waiting for the third generation cultivator of time. Some felt that while he wasn’t as crazed as Li Hao, there was certain to be something unusual about him as well. How could anyone who could rise to a position of power within the new chaos be anyone simple?
So what was going on now?
Skyward’s replica was just about to reach the scene when Su Yu’s eyes narrowed and he shouted, “How dare you! An assassin interfering with the diplomatic affairs of two worlds? You bastard!”
The powerhouses behind him stirred with rage as well. “Kill the assassin!”
A dozen currents of dao strength surged, striking at Skyward. The latter paled and travelled through the void, but the book of civilization within Emperor Yu’s hand trembled.
The void froze!
Up, down, the four directions. Since time immemorial, where I am is my domain!
Space froze.
Boom!
Space trembled and exploded. Skyward’s replica tumbled out of the way. This was the dao of space!
This person knows the dao of space! But how??
Li Hao had not grasped the dao of space when he created his chaos. Why was this person in possession of it? Li Hao only had five thousand dao rules, an insufficient number for spatial dao. Something was not right here...
Skyward’s face rapidly flickered through a variety of expressions. Meanwhile, his primary body rushed to the scene with his people.
Space!
He tilted his head at the dao chess in the distance, frowning at it. Had the lingering power of space within the treasure been incorporated into the new chaos, which then perfected the spatial dao inside it?
Skyward frowned. This was not a good discovery.
Chaos Sky beamed exuberantly when the book of order landed in his hand. Any opposition had been ineffective. He hadn’t even needed to do anything for Skyward to be stopped in his tracks.
When Chaos Sky quickly scanned it, he could sense that it was indeed the dao of order. While it was slightly different from before, it was the real thing. He was beside himself with joy, but also nervous.
Could he just absorb the dao like this?
He was worried because it’d come too easily for him!
Everything had gone so smoothly that he began to hesitate.
“There must be a conspiracy afoot, Chaos Sky!” roared the ninth ranks in the distance. “How could they give it to you that easily? Don’t absorb it, it will definitely mean your death!”
Everyone was cursing underneath their breath. There better be something wrong with that book! They needed to scare Chaos Sky so badly that he didn’t dare do anything with it!
Otherwise, there would be real trouble at hand if Chaos Sky made it to ninth rank before they took care of the third generation of time.
Or was this what that guy wanted, for them to tear at each other? If that was the case, it was all incredibly frustrating!
Was he imitating Li Hao giving time to Disorder, just so they would fight among themselves?
They’d experienced it once already and wouldn’t fall for it again!
