STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 1050: Stellaris’ Psychic Assault
Wilderness (Special Base)
Boom!
Jeremy Night crashed into the ground with a heavy thud.
Aaaahhh!
A muffled grunt escaped from his mouth. He felt the searing pain in his body. He didn’t expect the sudden attack.
Stellaris felt troubled and helpless. She could not help Jeremy Night in this situation. Not only that, she could sense the pain suffered by him right now.
She wanted to fight alongside him as soon as possible.
Boom!
The Tier-7 Worm Beast wasn’t done with the attack. It had merely been charging the attack earlier. A massive vortex of wind and earth was forming.
The vortex was filled with rocks and debris.
[You are in danger. Just escape from this place.]
Stellaris warned him again out of helplessness.
Jeremy Night circulated the natural energy in his body. The healing power of his body kicked in. It alleviated some of his pain.
He too felt the emotions of the lifeline beast. Feeling that Stellaris was getting worried, Jeremy Night felt touched.
Swoosh!
He stood up and used "Explosive Steps" to flee.
He didn’t go away from the core area. Instead, he rushed towards the border.
Stellaris watched all of this. She was taken aback. She didn’t know why Jeremy Night was heading to the dangerous area.
She then figured out the mission. She didn’t know what to say. Her emotions were complex. The incomplete memory was also stressing her out.
Jeremy Night was fleeing, but he could feel the attack was aimed at him. The Tier-7 Beast could release the attack at any moment.
Not only that, he was also feeling the wave of emotions from Stellaris. He felt the emotions were overwhelming.
Jeremy Night realized what was going on.
"Stellaris, guide me towards a good spot to avoid the attack," Jeremy Night asked her.
Hearing that, Stellaris recovered her thoughts.
Right then, the Tier-7 Worm Beast released the beam.
Boom!
A deafening noise occurred. The beam went pulsating forward. The movement created a shock force which devastated the land on both sides.
Jeremy Night’s senses alarmed him. He was stunned.
[There is a small pit 10 metres deep to your right. It’s deep enough to avoid the attack.]
He heard the voice of Stellaris again. Hearing that, Jeremy moved towards the right side. He quickly found the pit and jumped inside.
Boom!
The beam went past the place. The shock force spread on both sides. He faced the impact force again. The rocks and sand covered the deep pit along with him.
He was facing such a situation for the first time. Most of the time, he would hide or run away from facing a Tier-7 Beast.
But he had really attacked this time. Not only that, he was able to leave behind an open blade wound.
Not long after, he heard a loud, deafening noise.
Boom!
The sand beam finally hit the ground 200 metres away. It caused an earth-shattering noise. A shock force even more powerful than before spread across the place.
Jeremy Night braced for another impact.
[Get away from the pit. Otherwise, you will be buried fully.]
Stellaris warned him again. Hearing that, Jeremy collected his thoughts and got out of the pit. He then looked around and saw the Tier-7 Worm Beast still standing.
But the debris and rising smoke had covered the place. He didn’t know whether the beast could see him.
[The beast knows your presence. You are still in its range.]
Stellaris said to him.
Jeremy turned around to flee. He used "Feathered Steps" non-stop.
It didn’t take long for him to leave the sight of the Tier-7 Worm Beast. Stellaris was guiding him.
At the same time, Stellaris saw that the Tier-7 Worm Beast spotted Jeremy Night again. Seeing that, she used her consciousness to hit the mind of the beast.
A massive invisible power released from the unknown beast egg in the mental zone. Like a tidal wave, it reached the Tier-7 Worm Beast.
Rooooarrrrr!
The Tier-7 Worm Beast felt something strike its mind. The pain was massive. It felt a terrible headache. It was afraid that a Tier-8 or Tier-9 beast was passing by.
Boom!
It immediately used its ability and went underground into hiding.
When its massive body went into hiding, it once again created a shock force above the ground. It reverberated through the area.
[I’m tired. I’m going to sleep.]
Stellaris informed Jeremy Night before falling asleep. She had consumed energy in striking the Tier-7 Worm Beast’s mind.
Jeremy Night’s heart stirred. He turned around and used his zoomed-in vision. He saw the massive beast going back underground.
He felt the sudden drop in Stellaris’s energy. He had felt the emotions from Stellaris earlier; she must have done something to the Tier-7 Beast.
Jeremy Night was smart; he quickly figured it out. Though the beast could not appear outside, Stellaris had an awareness of the surroundings. It must be related to mental strength.
He was glad that he had escaped and grateful that Stellaris had saved his life. If not for Stellaris, he might have entered into a do-or-die battle.
Time passed.
He continued to use Feathered Steps non-stop until he reached the border area a few hours later. He followed the shallow sunken land to arrive at the border faster.
It was already evening time; he had two or three hours before the completely black night. But he didn’t start the mission right away.
He still thought it was safer to start the mission tomorrow. He looked around and found the presence of huge trees. It brought him relief. He didn’t want to stay in open land during the night.
He also wanted Stellaris to recover. He could feel that she was absorbing the natural energy from the surroundings. He then walked up to the tree and spent time carving out a hole.
He also moved huge boulders and rocks towards the tree base. He then brought dry twigs and leaves inside the tree hole and covered the entrance.
There were still two or three hours before the light was gone. But he wanted to use this time to recover. He wanted to heal the minor injuries caused by the impact force.
