City A (4th Zone)

Beast Taming Association

The members were going about their business. The senior staff had been observing the special practice rooms.

Not long after Jeremy Night left, a few wealthy members had come to inquire about the special practice rooms. They had selected the remaining available rooms for practice.

The senior male staff member was worried. He didn’t know what to do if more influential members appeared, as they might inquire about other special practice rooms.

Time went by.

The members had completed their practice inside the special practice rooms and were leaving one after another.

The senior staff member was quite relieved. As long as there were available rooms, the members wouldn’t pry into other people’s business.

Not everyone could afford a gold card, so so far, there was no problem.

It didn’t take long for a large group of Beast Tamers to walk into the lobby. They headed straight toward the front desk.

Spotting the male staff member behind the counter, the entire group of ten Beast Tamers approached him.

The group was equally comprised of both male and female Beast Tamers.

The male staff member noticed them, and his expression shifted dramatically. He recognized the ten Beast Tamers.

They were all Tier-6 Beast Tamers completing their final year at Central University 4. Central University held equal status to the Beast Taming Association.

He could not afford to offend them either. When the members arrived before the desk, they immediately began inquiring about the special practice rooms.

"How many special practice rooms are available right now?" a black-haired, middle-aged man asked.

He was the leader of the entire group, and everyone seemed to listen to him. The male staff member recognized him as well.

The middle-aged man’s background was formidable too. The male staff member grew anxious; he could not afford to lie to this person.

Even the Manager himself had to think twice before offending him.

"Master Oren, there are only a few available rooms right now. It won’t be enough for all of you," the male staff member said.

The middle-aged man named Oren frowned. He didn’t want the other members’ recovery to be delayed, as they had to head out into the wilderness next.

Their lifeline beasts had to be in peak condition. Turning around, he asked for his companions’ opinions.

"We don’t have much time. If we are delayed here, the other teams will take advantage of it. We might end up with poor results," one of the female members said.

Hearing that, Oren raised an eyebrow. They currently had an ongoing exam, the objective of which was to hunt down Tier-6 beasts.

If they cleared the Tier-6 beasts plaguing the wilderness, they would receive high marks on the exam. Thus, it was crucial for them to prepare.

His other companions began chiming in with the same sentiment. No one wanted to be left behind by rival teams. Oren then turned back to the male staff member.

"Can you tell me the names of the people currently using the special practice rooms?"

"If there are any familiar names, I can talk to them," Oren said.

Hearing that, the male staff member felt troubled. He knew what that "talk" entailed; Oren would likely use his status to intimidate the others.

No one would dare speak out against him. The weak would simply leave, clearing the way for the rest of his group to use the rooms.

Under the intense gaze of the middle-aged man, the male staff member decided to call for backup. He immediately contacted the Manager right in front of them.

Oren saw what was happening, but he made no move to stop the admin from calling his superior. The Beast Tamers behind him waited patiently as well.

They stood with arms crossed, chatting among themselves as they waited for the current occupants to vacate the special practice rooms.

They were confident Oren would handle everything. Oren continued staring down the male staff member, completely unashamed of his behavior.

He had done this before. People respected his family, and he never hesitated to use that influence to his advantage. He then glanced around the lobby and noticed someone approaching the desk.

As the figure drew nearer, Oren saw it was none other than the Manager. Smiling, he greeted him.

"Manager, how are you?"

The Manager was taken aback. He cast a side glance at the male staff member before turning toward Beast Tamer Oren.

’This admin has landed me in trouble,’ the Manager thought.

Plastering on a smile, he greeted Beast Tamer Oren in return.

"So, what brings you all here?" the Manager asked.

Oren repeated his request: he wanted the special practice rooms cleared for himself and his team members.

"The wilderness is currently dangerous, so everyone needs to use the practice rooms. It wouldn’t be right to ask them to leave," the Manager said with a smile.

Oren replied, "You don’t have to do anything. I’ll speak to our fellow members myself. They’ll give me face."

The Manager’s smile vanished, replaced by sudden gravity.

"You should know that the Head of the Beast Taming Association has issued strict instructions," the Manager said. "He doesn’t want anyone breaking the rules."

"The City Governors are keeping a close watch on the city as well. They’ll notice if any incident occurs," he added.

Beast Tamer Oren was caught off guard. He had not anticipated that his request would be flatly denied. Behind him, the other Beast Tamers fell abruptly silent.

They looked back and forth between Beast Tamer Oren and the Manager, surprised to hear the Manager lecturing about rules so suddenly.

One of the female Beast Tamers stepped forward and said, "Manager, we need to restore both our own strength and that of our lifeline beasts. We have an assignment in the wilderness. Now is not the time to stand in our way."

The rest of the group quickly voiced their agreement. The commotion began causing a stir, and passersby in the lobby started gathering near the administration desk to watch.

The Manager’s expression darkened. This was not the first time he had faced such a situation; every now and then, people like Oren came looking for trouble.

"You aren’t the only ones," the Manager said firmly.

"The people currently in the special practice rooms are recovering their strength as well. It’s just as important for them," he added.
