Chapter 475: Chapter 474: Formal Contract Certificate

’Maintenance it is, then.’

Seraphina Sinclair closed the page, and a casual glance at the regional channel revealed it had once again exploded into chaos.

And the topic of discussion was, of course, the trouble with the D-Class Coliseum.

Seraphina Sinclair gave it a cursory glance before closing the regional channel as well.

She didn’t have time for their nonsense; she was more curious about the reward in her hands.

[The Coliseum Terminator (Legendary Title)]

[Description: In the ancient arena, where blood and cheers intertwined, you met the challenges of countless powerful foes with nothing but flesh and blood. Ultimately, you forced this great cage, which had devoured the lives of thousands of warriors, to close its doors forever! You are the first victor to earn a million points, and the very terminator who personally destroyed The Coliseum’s core pillar. This battle did not just end a bloody era; it gave all who are oppressed faith that chains can be broken and tyranny can be overthrown!]

Seraphina Sinclair truly hadn’t expected to receive such a high Evaluation in the title’s Description.

But she hadn’t terminated The Coliseum at all.

Although the D-Class Coliseum was closed for a week, it was supposed to reopen after that...

Seraphina Sinclair’s train of thought came to a halt.

She had suspected before that the system’s information wasn’t entirely accurate. Now, the announcement and the system’s Description didn’t match up again.

But while Seraphina Sinclair noted this, she didn’t dwell on it.

She had too little information right now. Pondering it was pointless; she was better off spending her time on more useful things.

[Equip Effect:

1. All Attributes +5. (The trial of flesh and steel has etched the memory of victory into every inch of your being.)

2. When entering combat, there is a 30% chance to trigger "Terminator Momentum," causing nearby non-Leader Level enemies to enter a brief state of fear for 3 seconds. (They recognize you—the one who silenced The Coliseum forever.)

3. Each time you defeat an enemy, gain one stack of "Gladiator’s Fury," up to a maximum of 10 stacks. Each stack increases Strength by two points. Stacks are cleared after leaving combat. (No blood is shed in vain; anger will eventually be forged into a blade.)

4. When dealing damage to target types you have previously fought (e.g., Umbral Bone Golem, Abyssal Gazer), gain an additional 15% Armor-breaking Effect. (You know their every weakness! Because you once walked out over their corpses.)]

Seraphina Sinclair looked at the four effects and nodded with satisfaction.

Aside from the first one, which was a bit ordinary, the others were all unique new effects!

In comparison, Pioneer was starting to look a bit lackluster.

Seraphina Sinclair unequipped [Pioneer] and equipped [The Coliseum Terminator].

She flexed her wrist, her gaze falling on the A-level Supply Box on the stone table.

This was the first time Seraphina Sinclair had ever seen a Supply Box of this level.

It was different from other Supply Boxes, exuding an air of luxurious elegance at first glance.

The box was a deep purple, its surface covered in fine, slowly flowing patterns. A black Crystal Stone the size of a fingernail was inlaid in the very center of the lid, also emitting a faint pulse.

Seraphina Sinclair reached out and touched the Crystal Stone.

[A-level Supply Box detected. Open?]

She confirmed.

The box opened slowly. There weren’t many items inside, only three.

Seraphina Sinclair’s gaze swept over the three items, and her heart skipped a beat.

With an A-level Supply Box, even getting one good item was a win. Now there were three; her luck was truly good.

Seraphina Sinclair reached in and took out a Sheepskin Scroll from the far left.

She unrolled the scroll. The yellowed parchment bore no words, only a complex, blood-red rune hovering silently in the center, slowly rotating under her gaze.

[Formal Contract Certificate]

[Description: Special Item, no grade. Can be used to establish a temporary contract with any single creature, allowing it to understand your basic commands and follow your instructions! This item cannot change hostility status or a creature’s fundamental nature. The certificate will not take effect if you are hostile toward the target creature.]

[Note: You want to be its friend? First, ask if it’s willing. Generally speaking, fangs and claws are the best negotiating tools.]

Seraphina Sinclair’s lip twitched as she read the note.

’Why does the system’s tone have such a gloating feel to it?’

However, Seraphina Sinclair almost immediately looked over at the Gloom Hatchling.

It was curled up in Luna Jacobs’s arms, surprisingly not asleep, but rubbing its own cheeks with its two front paws.

You could tell it had really taken a lot of bumps in The Coliseum.

The Gloom Hatchling seemed to sense something. It stopped rubbing its face, tilted its head, blinked its vertical pupils, and stared intently at the Sheepskin Scroll in Seraphina Sinclair’s hand.

Then it gave a tiny sneeze, turned its head away, and buried its face in Luna Jacobs’s embrace.

It was the very picture of "I’m not interested, stay away from me."

From the moment it arrived in this home until now, there was one thing the Gloom Hatchling had never understood: in this house, refusal was futile.

It didn’t matter what it was—a person, a monster, an item, or even the Sunflower plant—as long as it was in the mobile cabin, Seraphina Sinclair called the shots!

Seraphina Sinclair waved the Sheepskin Scroll in her hand, her tone flat. "That’s not for you to decide."

The Gloom Hatchling’s head, buried in Luna Jacobs’s embrace, stiffened for a moment.

It probably understood the tone of her words. This wasn’t a negotiation; it was a notification.

The little dragon slowly pulled its face out of Luna Jacobs’s embrace and turned to face her. Its vertical pupils held a hint of vigilance, mixed with a resentful "what are you planning now" look.

Luna Jacobs looked down at it, then at Seraphina Sinclair, and couldn’t help but laugh. "It looks like it’s saying you’re bullying it."

"Bullying?" Seraphina Sinclair took two steps closer, looking down at the small, fluffy creature. "It eats my food, lives in my house, uses my things, and now asking for a little cooperation is called bullying?"

The Gloom Hatchling let out an extremely faint gurgle from its throat, as if in protest.

But it didn’t dare to be too loud; it was also a little afraid of Seraphina Sinclair.

This had probably been the case since the day it recognized the human before it as its mother.

Seraphina Sinclair crouched down, meeting its gaze.

"Do you know what this thing is?" She held the Sheepskin Scroll out to it. "A temporary contract. After we sign it, I can give you commands, but you’ll also be able to understand my words."

’And you’ll have to obey.’

Seraphina Sinclair didn’t say this part out loud.

Although the Gloom Hatchling couldn’t understand her language, it could guess a little from her tone.

The Gloom Hatchling’s ears twitched.

"For example," Seraphina Sinclair continued, slowly and deliberately, "next time we’re in a fight, I can tell you to go left, and you’ll go left. Go right, and you’ll go right. You won’t just slam headfirst into a wall."

Seraphina Sinclair gestured with her hands as she spoke.

The Gloom Hatchling’s eyes widened slightly.

It had clearly understood the "slamming into a wall" gesture; after all, that’s what it had been doing most of the day.

Seeing its wavering expression, the corner of Seraphina Sinclair’s mouth curled up slightly.
