Surviving the Infinite Survival Game by Exploiting Glitches
Chapter 144 My Name Is Yan Yue
Yao Niang glanced around, then raised her hand and waved. "Arrest them all. Qingqing and Lanlan are dead, so naturally, someone has to take their place."
"Give me the mind-control powder properly! Look at the commotion you’ve caused. You almost ruined my business."
The vengeful ghost following behind Yao Niang rushed forward instantly, startling them all. The ghost was indeed terrifying in appearance.
But before the two sides could even clash, a voice suddenly came from outside.
"Oh no! Fire!"
Yao Niang turned around in shock and looked outside. Then she heard the sounds coming from downstairs. Many guests were cursing and swearing as they hurried to leave Hongxiu Tower.
"Heh, you just wait!"
Yao Niang turned around and glared at the group, leaving the vengeful ghost to keep an eye on them while she hurried downstairs to deal with the fire.
Xiaohe swatted away the fierce ghost that tried to pounce on her, staring at them with a cold gaze.
"Since you have the chance, you should hurry up and leave."
Xiaohe didn’t turn around. Instead, she ran headlong into the vengeful ghosts. These vengeful ghosts always needed someone to hold them off.
George glanced at Xiaohe, then quickly pulled Song Zhenzhen and Xiong Qi up and gave Lin Yun a wink. The group hurriedly headed toward the door.
After the five people came out of the room, the commotion inside grew even louder.
With other people in the house, Xiaohe didn’t dare to act freely, but now that no one was around, she naturally stopped suppressing herself.
Her beautiful eyebrows and eyes had disappeared, and judging from her exposed skin, there wasn’t a single good spot left on her body. Her dress was also tattered.
It was clear that the injuries on her body were burns.
Xiaohe! You are beautiful!
Xiaohe was stunned for a moment. When she looked toward the door, the person was no longer there.
She smiled, turned her head, and continued tearing at the vengeful ghosts that were trying to escape.
As soon as Lin Yun and the others came downstairs, they ran into Yao Niang. Yao Niang knew they would definitely try to escape in the chaos, so she kept a close eye on them while she was busy dealing with the situation downstairs.
Before Yao Niang could speak, a slender figure rushed over and pounced on her.
They recognized her. It was the little maid who had delivered the note to them earlier!
Lin Yun quickly took out her weapon and fired at the evil spirits that were trying to rush over.
Song Zhenzhen also took out her steamed buns and threw them one after another. They exploded when they hit the evil spirits.
The maidservant held Yao Niang down tightly, her hands gripping her neck.
"It’s you!"
"Yes, it’s me!"
There were many evil spirits in the brothel, and they kept pouring in from all directions.
The surrounding fire grew larger and larger.
"Finally, I have a chance to burn down your Red Sleeve Pavilion!"
The little maid stared intently at Yao Niang, her eyes filled with hatred.
She immediately turned her head and said, "Go! All of you, go! If you don’t leave, you’ll all have to stay here!"
The group was taken aback.
Before they could run, many women came running over. Like the maids, they were also fighting against the evil spirits.
"Hurry up, this place is about to collapse!"
A woman with one eye missing smiled at Lin Yun again, then pounced on an evil spirit.
They all worked together seamlessly to carve out a path for the five of them.
"Hurry up! If you don’t leave now, it will really be too late!"
A woman lying on the ground pushed George’s foot.
She looked up at them and smiled. "Let’s go!"
The group exchanged glances and could only rush toward the door.
The women also blocked the entrance, preventing the evil spirits inside from leaving the Red Sleeve Pavilion.
Yao Niang, whose neck was being tightly gripped by the maid, shook off the maid and stood up from the ground.
"You think you can kill me?"
She lightly brushed the dust off her clothes, raised her hand, grabbed the little maid who had been flung away, and seized her by the neck.
Before she could even speak, Yao Niang was stabbed in the back.
The little maid fell to the ground, and she smiled at the people behind her with tears in her eyes.
"You betrayed me too?"
Yao Niang looked at the person who had stabbed her.
This was the man who had been with her the longest!
"Aunt Yao, Xiaohe... is my sister."
Zhang Xiaochuan looked at Yao Niang and laughed freely. He hadn’t wanted things to be this way, but Yao Niang had gone too far.
They’re all dead. How can the dead still be in the Red Sleeve Pavilion?
Why should the dead continue to suffer?
A blue flame ignited from the wound, and Yao Niang let out a scream.
Xiaohe also dealt with the few remaining vengeful ghosts and came downstairs.
As the blue flames engulfed them, the demons rushing toward them disappeared one by one.
However, the fire in the Red Sleeve Pavilion was gradually engulfing the entire place.
The little maid got up from the ground and walked step by step toward the door.
Lin Yun and the others were still outside, standing there and staring at the raging fire inside the Red Sleeve Pavilion.
The young maidservant arrived at the door and smiled at them.
Her smile was radiant. She hadn’t smiled like that in a long time.
"My name is Yan Yue! Yan Yue with a gentle and pleasant expression."
Yan Yue finally had a chance to say her name.
"Thank you."
"Could you help me erect a cenotaph in China someday?"
Everyone was stunned for a moment, then realized Yan Yue’s identity.
They wanted to go up and bring Yan Yue out, but Yan Yue refused.
"No need. I can’t leave. I’ve been waiting here for two years, and I’ve finally waited for you."
The fire behind them grew bigger and bigger.
Xiaohe walked to Yan Yue’s side and waved to them. Her burned face had recovered.
Zhang Xiaochuan stood silently behind Xiaohe, looking at them with a hint of a smile in his eyes.
The girls from Hongxiu Tower all came to the door, smiling and waving to Lin Yun and the others.
Flames engulfed the Red Sleeve Pavilion.
The Red Sleeve Pavilion collapsed.
The person at the doorway had vanished.
...
[Congratulations on clearing the [Brothel] level! You will be returning to the haunted house in one minute.]
A minute later, the scene changed, and they arrived at the exit of the haunted house.
Yan Yue?
Lin Yun muttered the name to herself. Where had she heard this name before?

At this moment, everyone was still in a daze, not yet realizing what had just happened.
It seemed as though they had passed through the haunted house in an instant, which was quite unexpected.
Before they could think it through, the little red vest appeared in front of them.
The man in the red vest looked rather grim.
"Congratulations on successfully escaping the brothel. Please take out your cards; you’ll need to get a little red flower on them."
Three small red flowers were given to each of the five students.
The student in the red vest put away the notebook containing the red flowers, turned around, and left without saying a word.
The group exchanged glances and left the haunted house.
They came to a secluded spot and began to chirp like crickets.
"So, what does this mean? It’s so sudden!"
Song Xizheng really didn’t understand what had just happened. It had simply ended so abruptly.
The five of them stood outside in silence for a moment, each trying to piece together the strange sequence of events. The fire had swallowed the building, yet the final scene had not felt like an ordinary escape at all. Yan Yue’s smile, Xiaohe’s recovered face, and Zhang Xiaochuan’s quiet expression remained in Lin Yun’s mind.
She also couldn’t forget the way Yan Yue had asked them to erect a cenotaph in China someday. That request was simple, but it carried a weight that made it difficult to dismiss. Yan Yue had waited there for two years, only to finally meet them and say thank you before disappearing with the Red Sleeve Pavilion.
Song Xizheng was still trying to understand everything as well. From Qingqing to the mass grave and then back to the haunted house, everything had happened too quickly. The sudden ending left him with more questions than answers, and he couldn’t help feeling that there was still something important they hadn’t understood.
None of them could explain what they had witnessed.
