"Is the purpose of the haunted house to keep us inside?" Lin Yun suddenly asked again.

"After entering, our clothes were inexplicably changed, and the drinks and snacks in the room also mysteriously appeared in other places at night."

George then realized something. "I’ve never heard of amusement parks before. This is the first time I’ve ever been inside one."

"But... Yan Yue is clearly from the same place as us. She said she came here two years ago."

Lin Yun suddenly had a terrifying thought. "Could it be that this world existed a long time ago, but because all the survivors who came in were wiped out in this world, the transit station didn’t have any information about it?"

The group gasped.

What they could imagine now was that there were probably many people like Yan Yue in the amusement park, but they simply hadn’t discovered them yet. The possibility alone was enough to make the atmosphere around them feel heavier. If Yan Yue had really been trapped here for two years, then there might be countless other stories hidden inside the amusement park that they knew nothing about.

"And Yan Yue just now..."

"Yan Yue must have started that fire herself. Based on what they did back then, I think Hongxiu Tower should no longer exist."

Lin Yun glanced back toward the haunted house and saw many people in red vests going in and out.

The others looked over as well and noticed the same thing. The sight of those red vests moving in and out made it seem as though nothing unusual had happened at all.

"But if they had the ability to destroy the Red Sleeve Pavilion, why have they waited until now?"

Song Zhenzhen didn’t understand this at first, but she quickly realized it.

"Could it be that she wanted to see her family one more time? So after seeing us..."

"Well, I don’t know how they did it, but it’s good that they got out safely. I still have two tasks to complete today, so let’s finish them first."

Xiong Qi quickly waved his hand and changed the subject.

"By the way, what time is it now? It feels like I’ve been inside for a long time."

Song Zhenzhen quickly opened her personal panel and glanced at it, then looked somewhat shocked.

She quickly showed the others the time. "It’s already 3 PM. Are we skipping lunch?"

"Isn’t this great? It saves us from having to outwit and outmaneuver those little green vests while being stared at with hostile eyes."

George shrugged. He wouldn’t starve if he missed a meal or two, but if he ate, he’d have to stay here.

"Yeah, haha, let’s move on to the next activity."

Song Zhenzhen closed her personal panel and was already planning where to go next.

"Then Song Xizheng and I will be leaving now. See you later."

Lin Yun waved to them again and then left with Song Xizheng.

They only needed one more activity to complete today. After that, they could try to avoid the crowds and return to the shelter.

"Sister Lin, how about we go to the Ferris wheel? What do you think?"

Lin Yun glanced in the direction he pointed and followed him.

There weren’t many people queuing at the Ferris wheel, and it was their turn very quickly.

The young man in the green vest gave them a small sign and pointed to a sign standing to the side, which listed the rules for the Ferris wheel.

A single rotation of the Ferris wheel takes one hour. You can only leave the car after your car has completed a full rotation and returned to the ground.

Therefore, please be sure to pay attention to your location in the carriage!

The two exchanged a glance and quickly got into the carriage.

They were in the last car of this Ferris wheel ride. Once they got on, the other passengers would have to wait for the next ride.

"One lap takes an hour, which is quite a long time."

The two sat facing each other, but both tacitly began to observe their current location.

"To be honest, I always felt that the sign it was mentioning was a bit too blatant."

Lin Yun looked at the ground through the glass again. They were slowly rising.

Song Xizheng glanced at the carriage behind them. The carriage was marked with the number 1, indicating that it was carriage number one.

Their carriage was number 30, which Song Xizheng had noticed after boarding.

"I also think that although it is rising, it is a bit too slow, and it feels like there is almost no change."

Lin Yun turned her gaze back from the outside and looked around at the facilities inside the carriage.

The seating area was on the left and right sides of the entrance to the carriage, with a small table in the middle. It wasn’t very big, and there was a small sign on it.

She picked it up and glanced at it. The front of the sign depicted the Ferris wheel, but in a cartoon style, and it was still quite beautiful.

Just as she was about to put it down, she inexplicably flipped the small sign over.

The small sign was made of acrylic and was triangular in shape. The support behind it was made of transparent acrylic. Generally, after people looked at the Ferris wheel picture on this small sign, they simply put it back, and no one paid much attention to it.

But she discovered that there was something written behind the picture. No one would notice it unless they looked closely.

Ferris Wheel Rules

1. Please do not open the carriage windows unnecessarily.

2. Please do not eat food in the carriage.

3. A single Ferris wheel ride takes approximately one hour. Please disembark around 5:00 AM to return to the ground.

4. Do not respond to any sounds you hear.

5. Your carriage number is 30. Please check that you are in the correct carriages in front of or behind you.

6. Please leave the Ferris wheel cabin before 7 PM.

After reading it, Lin Yun handed it to Song Xizheng and asked him to take a look. She turned her head back and looked at the carriage above her, which was marked as 29.

"Wow, there’s such a thing?"

Song Xizheng was shocked after seeing it. This Ferris wheel was no good either!

Fortunately, when he tried to open the window, he found it too difficult and gave up.

"This rule is a bit strange. It’s understandable that you can’t open the windows at will and that eating is prohibited. After all, it’s hard to open the windows, and you’re afraid that food crumbs will fall into the carriage and be difficult to clean."

"But why does it say that one lap takes more than an hour?"

Song Xizheng scratched his head and put the small sign back on the table.

Lin Yun suddenly noticed something was wrong. She saw that the number on the carriage behind Song Xizheng had changed.

It was now 19.

And they were 30.

Lin Yun then pointed behind him, gesturing for Song Xizheng to take a look.

"No... you didn’t blink just now? How did you suddenly run ahead of 19?"

Song Xizheng looked at the numbers two or three times, but still couldn’t accept what he was seeing.

He turned back to look at Lin Yun’s side, where the carriage in front was marked with 17.

"Where did 18 go? If it weren’t for that little sign saying we were in carriage 30, I would have thought I remembered it wrong."

"I guess it’s like the haunted house. They want to keep us on the Ferris wheel and turn us into NPCs or staff here."

Lin Yun squeezed the Ghost Vine on her wrist again, and then the Ghost Vine bit her.

Song Xizheng was speechless, not understanding what this amusement park was trying to do.

"The numbers in the next carriage have changed again."

Lin Yun then asked Song Xizheng to turn around, and they saw that carriage 19 behind them had become carriage 25, while carriage 23 was on the other side.

The two stared at the changing carriage numbers, neither of them speaking for several seconds. The strange changes happened so quietly that they almost seemed like an illusion, yet neither could deny what they had just seen. Lin Yun looked at the small sign on the table again, remembering the warning to check the carriages in front of and behind them. The warning suddenly felt much more important than before. Song Xizheng also seemed to realize this, and his expression became increasingly complicated. Neither of them knew what would happen if the numbers continued changing, but one thing was certain: this Ferris wheel was far stranger than it appeared when they first boarded from the very beginning.

Lin Yun and Song Xizheng: "..."
