Seeing Bai Yi standing there in a daze, the doctor shouted, "Don’t just stand there! Go and save those buried under the ruins!"

Leaving those words behind, the doctor carried a patient on his back and ran away without waiting for Bai Yi’s response.

Reminded by the doctor’s words, Bai Yi came back to his senses. Instead of saving those buried under the ruins, he rushed toward Huo Jiyang. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

When the soldiers saw him approaching, their eyes lit up.

"Captain Bai, you are finally here!" one of the soldiers exclaimed with hope in his eyes.

Bai Yi stopped beside him and urgently asked, "What happened to Commander Huo?"

The soldier looked at Huo Jiyang, then replied, "Commander Huo’s pollution level has reached 99%. We don’t know what is happening to him right now. After his mental energy exploded, he just stood there without moving."

Listening to the report, Bai Yi’s expression sank.

’99%... Can the giant carrot still purify the pollution at this high level of pollution?’

Bai Yi was unsure, but he had no choice but to give it a try.

Not receiving any response from him, the soldier urgently asked, "Captain Bai, what should we do now? Can we save Commander Huo?"

Bai Yi scanned his surroundings for a moment, then looked at the motionless Huo Jiyang.

After a brief moment of thought, he said, "Usually, after a mental energy explosion, a sentinel will turn into a killing machine. Since Commander Huo is only standing there motionlessly, he should still be conscious."

As his eyes turned sharp, Bai Yi ordered, "I’m going to approach Commander Huo. You guys get ready to support me."

The second his words fell, the soldiers said in unison, "Captain Bai, it’s too dangerous!"

Huo Jiyang was the only SSS+-rank sentinel in the entire Interstellar Military Union.

As an SSS-rank sentinel, Bai Yi’s strength and mental power were below Huo Jiyang’s. However, compared to these other SS-rank sentinels, Bai Yi had the highest chance of getting close to Huo Jiyang.

Raising his hand to interrupt the soldiers, Bai Yi said, "This is the only solution we have now."

Knowing that they had no other options, the soldiers could only accept Bai Yi’s plan.

Seeing that they had no more objections, Bai Yi summoned his spiritual body, the Silver Wolf. Keeping his eyes on Huo Jiyang, he calmly merged with his spiritual body.

"Awuu~!" Bai Yi let out a howl, then kicked the ground and shot toward Huo Jiyang.

As the wind rushed past his ears, Bai Yi’s eyes flickered with determination.

Standing in the middle of the ruins, Huo Jiyang suddenly raised his head. A second before Bai Yi’s paw touched his body, Huo Jiyang raised his hand and blocked the giant silver paw.

Boom!

Pushed back by the energy collision, Bai Yi’s huge body was sent flying and crashed into the half-collapsed wall.

Boom! Crash!

"Captain Bai!" the sentinels exclaimed at the same time when they saw this.

"Cough!" Coughing up blood, Bai Yi raised his head.

When he saw that Huo Jiyang was still standing in the same spot without moving an inch, he pushed himself out from under the ruins. Staring at Huo Jiyang’s emotionless face, Bai Yi noticed that his eyes were completely empty.

Bai Yi clenched his jaw, then rushed toward Huo Jiyang again. This time, he circled around Huo Jiyang and tried to sneak up behind him.

As if he could predict Bai Yi’s next move, Huo Jiyang ducked down a split second before Bai Yi’s paw could touch his back, then grabbed Bai Yi’s tail.

"Ugh!" Bai Yi groaned in pain.

Huo Jiyang gripped Bai Yi’s tail, then slammed him onto the ground.

Bam!

"Cough!" Bai Yi coughed up another mouthful of blood.

However, before he could do anything, Huo Jiyang pulled him up from the ground by his tail, then smashed him onto the ground again.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Seeing that Bai Yi couldn’t even fight back against Huo Jiyang, one of the soldiers said, "We must support Captain Bai!"

Without waiting for his comrades’ reaction, the soldier rushed toward Huo Jiyang.

Two meters before the soldier reached him, Huo Jiyang suddenly turned around and threw Bai Yi toward the soldier.

"Captain Bai! Watch out!" The soldier’s eyes widened in shock as he braced himself for the impact.

Bam!

As the two of them crashed into each other, the other soldiers also made their moves. Rushing toward Huo Jiyang at the same time, they summoned their spiritual bodies and began attacking him without holding back.

In an instant, more than a dozen spiritual bodies appeared and launched their special abilities toward Huo Jiyang.

Boom!

Bang!

Crash!

Standing in the center of the ruins, Huo Jiyang calmly raised his head. He stared silently at the incoming attacks with empty eyes.

Just when the sentinels thought they were going to successfully stop him, Huo Jiyang’s mental energy suddenly soared.

"Not good! Commander Huo is summoning his spiritual body!"

At the sentinel’s words, the other sentinels felt a chill run down their spines.

They had worked under Huo Jiyang for years, but they had never seen his spiritual body. For Huo Jiyang to summon his spiritual body now meant that they wouldn’t be able to leave this place alive today.

Lying on the ground, Bai Yi’s spiritual body disappeared. Returning to his human form, Bai Yi’s eyes widened in horror at this sight.

"Retreat now!"

At his command, the sentinels retreated at once.

Whoosh~! Whoosh~! Whoosh~!

As they retreated, the sentinels kept their eyes on Huo Jiyang.

Buried under the ruins, Bai Yi pushed his blood-covered body up from the ground. Knowing that Huo Jiyang didn’t have much time left before he completely turned into a monster, Bai Yi made a quick decision.

Glancing at the sentinel crawling out from the ruins not far from him, Bai Yi said, "We don’t have any more time. Help me block Commander Huo’s attacks. This is our last chance to save him."

The sentinel wiped the blood from his lips, then replied with determination, "Leave it to us."
