Chapter 84: Purifying Energy

Receiving the sentinel’s answer, Bai Yi took out the metal box from his spatial ring. He opened the metal box, then cut off a small piece of the giant carrot.

When the sentinel saw the giant carrot, he was surprised. However, he didn’t ask anything.

Grabbing one of Huo Jiyang’s dragon horns, Bai Yi’s eyes filled with determination as he stabbed the syringe into Huo Jiyang’s neck.

The second the giant carrot’s juice entered his bloodstream, Huo Jiyang let out a painful roar and fell to the ground.

"Roar!"

Caught off guard, Bai Yi was flung away and crashed heavily onto the ground.

"Ugh!"

While Bai Yi and the sentinels were lying on the ground, covered in injuries and blood, Huo Jiyang was rolling in pain. His huge dragon form rolled across the ground, and his dragon tail smashed repeatedly into the ground as he let out a painful roar.

Trapped inside his sea of consciousness, Huo Jiyang suddenly saw a tiny speck of light in the distance. Raising his head, he looked toward the light.

As he stared at it, the tiny speck of light seemed to fly closer to him. Raising his hand, Huo Jiyang reached toward the tiny speck of light as if it were his last hope.

Surrounded by darkness, Huo Jiyang didn’t know how long he had been trapped in this heavy darkness.

Keeping his eyes on the light, he tried to stand up, but the darkness seemed to be stuck to his body, refusing to let him move even an inch.

Feeling anger and anxiety rising inside him, Huo Jiyang forcefully grabbed the sticky darkness covering his body and tried to tear it off. Unfortunately, no matter how many times he tried, the darkness couldn’t be removed.

"Go away!" he shouted angrily.

Just when he was almost completely swallowed by the darkness, the tiny speck of light suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

Huo Jiyang was startled, but he was even more shocked when he saw the true form of the light.

Staring at the strange orange object emitting a faint light and floating in front of him, Huo Jiyang couldn’t help but reach out to it.

The second his fingertips touched the strange light, something amazing happened. The strangely shaped light suddenly became brighter than a star and illuminated the darkness.

Wherever the light shone, the darkness turned into black fog and dissipated into the air.

Huo Jiyang froze in place as he witnessed everything. As if he was facing something sacred, Huo Jiyang muttered softly, "This... is purifying energy?"

After a few seconds that felt like forever, the heavy darkness stuck to his body slowly retracted and dissipated. Looking down, Huo Jiyang finally saw his hands.

Before he could find out what kind of thing the strange-shaped light was, Huo Jiyang felt his mind grow heavier. Forcing himself to stay awake, he reached toward the strange-shaped light.

’I... can’t let... it disappears...’

As he slowly fell asleep, the strange-shaped light slowly faded, leaving only a small patch of purified area inside Huo Jiyang’s sea of consciousness.

Although it was very small, it was enough to keep Huo Jiyang from turning into a monster.

At least, for now.

At the same time, as Huo Jiyang fell into a deep sleep, Bai Yi and the sentinels were delighted to see the black dragon transform back into Huo Jiyang.

Rushing toward the unconscious Huo Jiyang, Bai Yi shouted urgently, "Call the doctor! Hurry up!"
