Chapter 767: Through Time.
As more and more words were spoken by the Dao Lords, more and more voices echoed in his mind. Their voices seemed to amplify each other, so their voices became louder and louder. This caused his mind to ring painfully.
It felt like a migraine at first. But then it became much serious than that. The pain became so much that his mind began to crack. This was evident from the fact that his Cave Heaven was breaking up and falling apart.
His mind was breaking apart as if someone was in his Cave Heaven smashing it to pieces. This was why Loki was so irritated about all of the talking going on.
At this point, Loki knew that he couldn’t continue to stay here. It had become certain that even if he were not being targeted by the Dao Lords, he still wasn’t going to be able to escape. So he decided to activate the Rewind Metac.
Meanwhile, the Dao Lords were still speaking. They were intrigued by Loki, and the tone of their voice was one of amusement. It was clear that they didn’t take him seriously.
But when they saw more of his thoughts through their multicolored eyes, all of them became somber. Their jovial attitude disappeared immediately, and they became serious.
One of them said, "Who would have thought it? It is Golden Sun and The Wanderer. What are the odds that we would meet the reincarnation of the two of them at the same time?"
Another voice said, "Don’t just stand there. Stop him before he gets away."
While these ones were talking, one of them had already made a move. The world began to shake as a sword light condensed in the sky.
Loki couldn’t tell if the sword light was created by the world, which was why the power of the whole world was mobilized for it, or whether the power of the sword was so great that the power of the whole world was mobilized to contain it.
He couldn’t tell which was which, but he could tell that the power of the sword was something that could threaten the Blessed Heaven World, even though it was a super world. Since he didn’t have power on par with a super world, it was certain that this sword strike would be lethal to him.
Unfortunately, he had done all that he could do. He had activated the Rewind Metac and was already leaving. So everything else was up to fate.
As he watched, he saw the sword strike smash down on him. The sword light cleaved through his body and entered his Cave Heaven without any resistance. Then it swept towards the core of his Cave Heaven with overwhelming might.
Everywhere the sword light passed through, matter and energy disappeared. Nothing could stop the sword because it didn’t look like Loki had anything to stop the sword in the first place.
His Cave Heaven might as well be empty space. So it was absolutely normal that a sword strike could stroll through his Cave Heaven.
Then the sword light entered the core of His Cave Heaven. By this time, Fenrir had entered the River of Time. But this wasn’t going to discourage the sword strike.
The sword strike followed him into the River of Time. It had locked onto him, so no matter where he wanted to run, the sword strike followed him. It seemed that it was an attack that he couldn’t avoid.
The speed of the sword strike was also much faster than he was. Actually, it was at least 100 times faster. And this was only because he was in the River of Time.
He had the Rewind Metac to carry him through the River of Time, so he didn’t face much resistance. But the sword strike wasn’t so lucky. The sword strike had to cleave through every event in time standing in its way to reach him. So the resistance it was facing was immense.
The resistance in the River of Time was slowly wearing the sword light down. Even so, it was still more than a hundred times faster than Loki. So if they were in the physical world, Loki was sure that the sword light would have caught up to him already.
Actually, he was sure that the sword light would catch up to him soon, so he decided to drop out of the River of Time. As he tumbled down from the River of Time, the sword light also followed him.
It was like a dog snapping at his heels with its teeth. The dog was also getting faster and faster and was about to reach him. This caused his heart to pound in fear and panic.
Just as the sword light was about to reach him, he dropped into the past and appeared at the moment when he was fighting Money Armor.
His fist was about to smash into Money Armor’s face when he suddenly gained memories of a cataclysmic future. What he saw from his future made him drop Money Armor immediately.
He gave up on Money Armor and activated the Rewind Metac again. Then he entered the River of Time.
Just a few light-years away, the sword light tore through the River of Time and appeared in all of its glory. The sword light was so bright that it appeared like a grand star in the void. But the sword itself was faster than the light it was producing, so anyone who saw its light would only see its past.
The sword light only had one mission, and it was hell-bent on fulfilling its mission. So it streaked through the void in Loki’s direction. But even before the sword light could reach Loki, more trouble had arrived for Loki.
The appearance of the sword light alarmed some individuals. These individuals who noticed an attack of such power immediately tore rifts through the Sea of Worlds to see what was going on.
This time, there were eight pairs of eyes or five. And all eight pairs of eyes possessed the ability to see through the world.
