The Heiress They Lost Came Back Overpowered

Chapter 312 - 311: You Are Not Worthy to Say My Father’s Name

  • Next Chapter

Yvonne Lowell jumped down from the wooden crate, walked up to Lance Young, and said,

"My marksmanship is genuinely average, so let’s stop the barking, shall we? Can you try being sincere for once?

All day long, you just go on about your high status. What? Is it higher than Caesar’s?"

Hearing that familiar and nostalgic name, Lance Young felt the pain in his body recede for a moment, as if in a final resurgence of strength.

"You are not worthy of speaking my father’s name!"

Nina Jennings and Zachary Jacobs exchanged a look, both seeing the shock in each other’s eyes.

Yvonne Lowell was also stunned for a moment. ’So that’s the inside story behind his disappearance back then.’

Then, she raised an eyebrow mockingly.

"Oh, so no wonder you claim to have a noble bloodline. Turns out you’re a prince, huh? But... I don’t recall ever seeing any women around Caesar. Where did you pop out from? A crack in a rock?"

Caesar. The very same psycho who started that kill-or-be-killed game all those years ago, the one she had killed with her newly awakened Spiritual Ability.

And this Caesar was one and the same as *that* Caesar—the great emperor from before the common era.

Back then, they had no idea what his real name was because the narcissist usually had people call him Caesar, or the Emperor.

From this, one could tell that although the man’s own abilities were not the least bit outstanding—he could even be called a waste of space—

despite this, he made no effort to hide his ambition or his thirst for power.

He even went as far as to lock up a group of children, planning to indoctrinate them from a young age. Who would have thought that in the end, one of those kids would turn the tables and kill him?

In summary, the man was just an idiot courting death. The wicked always get what’s coming to them.

"A woman? She was merely the vessel for my arrival in this world and was killed by my father long ago! But what does that have to do with me? I am my father’s only child! The only one who can inherit all his power in the future! Only I am qualified to stand by his side!"

Lance Young roared, his expression frenzied.

Yvonne Lowell watched him bark with a deadpan expression. Only after he had finished shouting did she speak.

"Oh, is that so? Then where were you when he died? Where were you when your power vanished? You’re nothing but a useless, abandoned pawn. A pawn that was cast out. A pawn that I defeated."

"Shut up! You don’t know anything! If you hadn’t injured me back then, he wouldn’t have sent me away to recover and forbidden me from returning. Besides, when I secretly went back a few years later, the place had already become a pile of ruins! My father sent me away to protect me!"

Yvonne Lowell couldn’t help but twitch her lips. ’This kid’s imagination is pretty wild. Looks like he’s been seriously manipulated.’

’An abandoned pawn is just an abandoned pawn, yet he insists on packaging himself as a beloved son.’

Meanwhile, Lance Young continued his monologue, lost in his own world.

"In that moment, I realized my father would always love me the most! He made me train with you lowly people to cultivate my abilities!

To save my own life, I used what little money I had left to smuggle myself into Country A. By chance, I met that guy, Andy, so on a whim, I decided to get a new face and completely start over!

Just when my new life was getting on track, the three of you showed up and ruined everything! Why didn’t you die?! Everyone else died to accompany my father in death, so why are you still alive?!

No! I absolutely will not allow it! I want you to join my father in death!!"

Yvonne Lowell suddenly interjected, "Who told you they died to accompany your father?"

"What... what do you mean?"

Lance Young, who had been lost in his emotions and immersed in the beautiful dream of his own making, was abruptly pulled back to reality by her casual remark.

"When did his old man die again?" Yvonne Lowell asked, turning her head to the side.

"I don’t remember exactly. About half a year after he disappeared, I think."

Nina Jennings said nonchalantly, playing with her fingernails.

"You’re lying! I won’t allow you to curse my father!!"

"Tsk, why can’t this unlucky kid understand plain language? You’re a stray dog—are you saying we’re not allowed to mess with you?"

Yvonne Lowell crouched in front of him, a perfectly harmless smile on her face, but every word she spoke seemed to be laced with deadly poison.

"I was the one who killed him. Don’t you think I’d know whether he was thoroughly dead or not?"

Lance Young snapped his head up, staring at her in disbelief. "Wh... what?!"

"I said, I killed your father. After killing him, we escaped from that place. And later, I went back again.

And I found that, even without your father, the place was running as usual. So, I turned it into the ruins you saw.

Happy now? Surprised? Didn’t see that coming?"

Seeing that he was about to start shouting again, Yvonne Lowell disgustedly picked up a nearby strip of cloth and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Alright, you’ve been talking all night. You must be tired. It’s my turn now, ’kay?

I was originally planning to wait until you saw with your own eyes that your robots’ self-destruct code had failed, and then I’d come have a proper chat with you.

But of all the things you shouldn’t have done, you shouldn’t have bothered my family. You should feel lucky my mother didn’t see those photos. If you had scared her, you wouldn’t be here listening to me right now."

Charles Lowell: ’...Right, right. So your father’s life doesn’t count as a life, is that it!?’

"Mmmph! Mmmph!"

As if sensing his confusion, Yvonne Lowell kindly explained,

"The first time I saw you at the company, I felt something was off about you. So I went ahead and did a little background check.

And I changed your code that very same day. Didn’t expect that, did you?

I didn’t expect that you’d go this whole time without noticing, either."

Yvonne Lowell reached out behind her, took the laptop from Felix Knight’s hands, and placed the surveillance feed of the robot factory in front of him.

"This is the code you originally wrote, right? Come on, let’s see if we can make them explode. If they do, it’s on me."

With that, Yvonne Lowell began typing on the keyboard right in front of him.

Lance Young watched her actions in astonishment. ’Every step is exactly according to my plan... How does she know so much?!’

Finally, Yvonne Lowell hit the enter key, but the robots on the monitor showed no reaction whatsoever.

In other words, Lance Young’s code had indeed been altered. His entire scheme had vanished like a pipe dream.

"Mmph!"

"Shocked? Hah. My degree is just as legitimately earned as yours; it’s not a fake. It’s not strange that I know how to do this.

But I still have to thank you. Thank you for being as arrogant and conceited as ever, for thinking your disguise was perfect, for thinking you were smart enough to control everything, when in reality, you’re still as stupid as a pig.

You and Caesar are the same—maggots in a gutter that can’t stand the light. You only deserve to stay in those sunless corners, living a filthy, stinking life while you wait for death to arrive.

Even if you manage to multiply, you will forever be unpresentable filth."
