The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 210: What will happen tonight?
"They’ve already lost their minds. What could be worse?" Lupine said.
"What? When? They lost their minds just from the soul search?" Moon frowned.
"..."
Lupine was speechless.
How had the blame suddenly shifted to his soul search?
It was clearly Moon’s husband who had fed them those suspicious herbs.
Lupine thought this to himself but didn’t correct Moon. After all, Ugo was merely punishing some disobedient enemies.
"Ayia! Moon, aren’t you being too kind? Just use one of them. Or do you want to test it directly on your mate?" Xiao Hong flew to his side. "That’s also good. They have hard bones. Will not die easily."
"No! ... Okay, let’s go, then." Moon finally agreed.
Soon, the group made their way into the Lost Realm.

.
When Moon was busy refining his pills, the brothers, on the other hand, were occupied with a different kind of business.

On the west grand plaza, in the market area,
Nox kept frowning until deep lines formed on his forehead and a vein popped.
"Why are we buying this?" he asked for the tenth time.
"Why do you think?" Axe asked without turning back.
They were inside a blacksmith shop, standing near the area where the smith displayed his items.
Axe had already bought quite a few things.
First, a few sturdy shackles.
Then he went to the smith to ask about the materials used to make it.
He also bought cuffs and pins, a box of needles, and even a few muzzles.
Not only Nox, but even the smith was looking at Axe with a frown.
At another time, this might have seemed perfectly normal.
But what time was it today?
Tonight was the full moon, and the smith had been receiving all kinds of strange customers. Among them, this fellow was going a little overboard.
Supreme Alpha Elysian had just made another announcement, amplifying his voice throughout the plaza.
The city was to be closed down tonight, and any fragile humans staying inside were advised to move away.
Any wolf who had trouble controlling himself was also required to take precautions.
But despite his warning, he couldn’t prevent people’s strange fetishes, and all kinds of shady activities would still be happening behind closed doors.
"Young man, don’t you think that’s enough?"
The middle-aged smith finally couldn’t hold back and asked, looking at the collar made of jadeite iron in Axe’s hand.
"Not enough. I need five of them," Axe said indifferently.
He hadn’t noticed Nox’s frown or the smith’s dark expression.
"Five? You need five of them?" The man’s voice rose.
Nox’s expression changed from tense to confused.
Meanwhile, Ugo was leisurely browsing some locks.
"Yes, five. Is there a problem?" Axe answered.
"Young man, I must say I have to limit the sales." The smith spoke with a grumpy expression.
Axe finally lifted his gaze to the man. Only then did he notice the suspicious look on the smith’s face.
He couldn’t help laughing in amusement.
"What are you thinking? I’m buying these to restrain some rabid wolves who might endanger innocent people. Man, your mind is dirty."
The smith’s face instantly turned bright red.
"Y-You could have just said that earlier!"
With that, he stormed into the storeroom to pack the items.
Axe shrugged.
"He didn’t ask me, and now he’s getting angry," he said to Nox.
Then he realized his brother was also looking at him strangely.
’Fuck!’ he cursed inwardly. ’Do I look like some kind of pervert?’
Nox didn’t ask anything else there.
But when they came out of the shop and went to the Treasure Pavilion to buy clothes, he finally asked in a low voice,
"Axe, why did you buy those things?"
Ugo chuckled at his sneaky tone.
Axe laughed too, but then his jaw slowly tightened, and his voice became serious.
"Nox, what do you think will happen tonight?"
"Huh? What can happen? We may awaken our spirits, or we may not," Nox said. Confusion was still evident in his tone.
"I believe we will awaken. And if the High Priestess’s prediction is correct, we may transform into wolves. If it turns out to be a blood moon, we’ll have an even greater chance of taking a proper wolf form," Axe said.
"Heh! So confident!" Nox snorted.
"It would be a shame if we couldn’t do it even after getting help from our mate," Ugo chuckled from the side.
Axe sighed.
"Nox, don’t always be so carefree. Think it through. If we really awaken and are triggered by the moon, things could become deadly. There are five of us. Not only will Moon be in a perilous situation, but we might also tear each other apart. You haven’t seen Leo and Rio when they woke up. Even in their pup forms, they almost bit each other to death before running away. And not to mention the time Leo was in bridal chamber..." His voice trailed off.
He certainly didn’t want that kind of situation when they were just recently warming up to Moon.
"I’m not confident I’ll remain sane afterward," he said, lowering his voice.
Nox’s face slowly grew tense, and his hand clenched into a fist.
He hadn’t really thought that far.
"It can’t be that serious, can it? We won’t be just any beasts. We’re werewolves. We have our sanity," he said, though even he didn’t believe his own logic.
Axe didn’t reply.
They entered the pavilion and bought the highest-quality clothes.
Axe had altered one robe to Moon’s liking, with wide sleeves. They also bought another set of clothes in their own preferred styles, suited to Monalis.
After buying so much, their siki had been reduced to only fifty thousand. They had already paid for registration, and now they were buying all sorts of seeds, materials, clothes, and ornaments.
Still, they didn’t regret it.
Soon, they made their way back to the inn.
After asking the inn’s tea boy to prepare a meal for them later at noon, they locked themselves inside their room.
Nox set up an alarm formation before entering Lupine Palace.
No one was there.
But they didn’t need Lupine now, so they simply chose to do their own work.
For the first time in a while, the three brothers came closer and put aside their earlier conflicts.
