The Great Dragons had sent five contestants, each with distinct strengths. Excluding the eliminated Blackwater Horned Dragon King, the remaining four were now assembled.

Han Wu’s group had already faced the Volcano Dragon King and the Crimson-Eye Earth Dragon King. Han Wu had also witnessed the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King’s unmatched speed. Now, the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King quickly revealed its specialty. It channeled its power to heal its allies. An array enveloped the Volcano and Crimson-Eye Earth Dragon Kings, rapidly mending their wounds.

The Volcano Dragon King cackled with glee. “Wasn’t someone trying to blast me to death? Come on, then!”

With the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King present, no wound was permanent. Even if the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress reduced the Volcano Dragon King to its last breath, a single heal could restore it to full health.

Han Wu’s expression darkened. There were four Subcosm Dragon Kings, and handling them with the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress alone was a tall order. As if the Volcano Dragon King’s relentless elemental barrages and the Crimson-Eye Earth Dragon King’s physical blows weren’t bad enough, the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King kept swooping in to tear off the secondary cannons.

The Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress had only ten sets of secondary cannons and two main ones. At the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King’s speed, it could strip away all the cannons in mere minutes. Once the cannons were gone, the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress could only fight hand-to-hand.

Han Wu ordered the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress to prioritize the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King. Unfortunately, the latter was too fast. Even the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress’ processing speed and tracking couldn’t keep up. Landing a hit was impossible.

Long Xiang saw how hopeless the situation had become and grew desperate. He hated his own powerlessness and inability to help.

“Han Wu, maybe we should surrender,” he suggested. “Given the situation, the clan won’t blame us even if we gave up.”

Han Wu shook his head. “It’s not over yet.”

“You still have a plan?” Long Xiang stared at him in disbelief. He didn’t know how strong Han Wu truly was because every time they met, Han Wu pulled out something new that left him stunned. Holding two Dragon Kings at bay with the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress had already seemed incredible. Now Han Wu was saying he still had more?

Goodness gracious, how many cards are you hiding?

Han Wu’s divine realm gate opened again. Swarms of Pterlings poured out, shrouding Han Wu’s group from view.

The Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King, the strongest of the Great Dragon contestants, flared its wings. “Blocking our sight with numbers? Don’t bother with such petty tricks.”

Countless feathers of light shot toward the Pterlings as if they were alive. Each feather killed a Pterling on contact.

Whenever a Pterling died, the feather disappeared as well. It wasn’t a special property of the light feathers. Rather, it was due to the arena’s special conditions, which made every unit Han Wu summoned a projection. Their deaths didn’t cost Han Wu anything. He could summon as many as he wanted without risk. That way, he could summon every single unit of his core race that fulfilled the arena’s conditions and use them as fodder without a care.

As the Pterlings thinned and Han Wu’s group slowly came back into view, a second wave emerged. This time, Locust Dragons flooded the field. They were tougher than Pterlings, each requiring at least two feathers to bring down.

Long Xiang joined in and flooded the field with Tyrannosaurus Rex units from his divine realm. The ground shook under their stampede. Their thick hides shrugged off the feathers of light entirely.

The endless swarms of low-level units were more annoying than dangerous, but the four Dragon Kings were thoroughly fed up. After a brief discussion, they decided to unleash one massive attack and wipe the field clean.

All four flew into the air. The combined Dragon Fear of the four Dragon Kings condensed into a terrifying crescendo before it detonated outward. The attack approached the power of a Dragon Emperor’s ordinary strike, and every unit below the Microcosm rank within the blast zone was crushed instantly. Billions of Locust Dragons and 1 million Tyrannosaurus Rex units vanished in the blink of an eye.

The four Dragon Kings had drained themselves with that single burst, and their guard dropped for an instant.

At that precise moment, a dark shadow launched from beneath Han Wu’s feet and streaked toward the fastest and most fragile Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King. Dense Dark Energy pierced its chest like a venomous needle and corroded its heart to nothing.

The other three Dragon Kings reacted too late. In its death throes, the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King struck back with its signature beak attack. Its razor-sharp beak unleashed a killing blow that could critically wound even a fellow Subcosm Dragon King.

The dark shadow took the hit and plummeted from the sky while the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King dissolved into light.

“You summoned numerous units to bait out a wide-area attack,” the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King said in the dragon tongue, “You calculated the exact moment we’d be exhausted and struck. I’ll commend that. It worked, but there’s still the three of us. Do you have a second assassin of that caliber? No matter what you do, you’re only delaying the inevitable.”

“Fair point, but there’s a minor misunderstanding. What makes you think that blow killed my unit?” Han Wu shot back.

The dark shadow burst from the ground and took its place at Han Wu’s side. It was the Dark Dragoness.

Han Wu had recalled the Yinglong King not because it was too weak, but because he intended to fuse it with the Lust Umbral Demoness within his divine realm. A Microcosm Yinglong King combined with a Microcosm Lust Umbral Demoness had produced a peak-Microcosm Dark Dragoness.

With the Dark Courage Shield empowering her, the Dark Dragoness had broken through to the Subcosm rank. That was how she had assassinated the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King with a single strike. The Dark Courage Shield had completely absorbed the Hawkbeak Swift Dragon King’s final blow, which explained why the Dark Dragoness was still alive.

The Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King felt the Dark Dragoness’ powerful aura and tensed up. Meanwhile, Long Xiang’s hope reignited. The Great Dragons now had three Subcosm fighters, while Han Wu’s side had two.

The fight wasn’t over. They could still win.
