Chapter 1078 - Do It!

The Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King studied Han Wu’s two powerful units. The Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress boasted heavy armor and tremendous firepower but was rooted in place. The Dark Dragoness had blazing speed, potent Dark Energy, and a shield capable of tanking Subcosm attacks. Overall, the Dark Dragoness was the more dangerous of the two.

Dangerous didn’t mean unbeatable, though. The Great Dragons still had three Dragon Kings and held a slight edge in total combat power.

“Prepare the combined dragon breath!” the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King whispered to the other two.

They nodded and started to draw elemental energy from the surrounding space.

A combined dragon breath mixed multiple types of dragon breath in precise ratios to create a multi-attribute attack whose power exceeded the sum of its parts. The Great Dragons had inherited techniques specifically for that purpose, and any trained Great Dragon could master them. The more types of dragon breath they combined, the stronger the resulting attack became.

Han Wu sensed the three Dragon Kings absorbing elemental energy and guessed they were charging something devastating. He ordered the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress to charge the Infinity Cannon and once again targeted the Volcano Dragon King, whose defenses were the weakest.

Long Xiang reopened his divine realm and summoned every remaining Tyrannosaurus Rex. Even if they couldn’t deal damage, they could serve as cover or meat shields. Every little bit helped.

The combined dragon breath erupted. A horrifying beam of blended energy streaked toward Han Wu’s position like an aurora. Han Wu took cover behind the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress, with the Dark Dragoness beside him.

It punched through several Tyrannosaurus Rex units without losing any momentum and slammed into the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress. The energy beam tore through its armor and blasted a hole clean through before heading toward Han Wu.

The Dark Dragoness raised the Dark Courage Shield. After passing through the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress’ armor, the blast had weakened considerably, but it still carried tremendous power.

The Dark Courage Shield had once been the treasured possession of the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King, itself a veteran Subcosm powerhouse. Under the bombardment, the shield barely turned warm and didn’t suffer so much as a single scratch.

Once the breath attack ended, the Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress returned fire. The Infinity Cannon tore into the Volcano Dragon King, leaving it charred and barely alive.

The Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King cast a single heal, and the Volcano Dragon King instantly returned to full strength. Han Wu now understood just how terrifying that Dragon King was. As long as it lived, killing the other two would be nearly impossible.

Long Xiang leaned in close. “If there’s anything I can do, just say the word. For the honor of the Ancient Dragon Clan, dying once is nothing.”

Han Wu’s eyes lit up. Long Xiang’s Tyrannosaurus Rex was average in terms of overall power, but its jaws were a weapon capable of biting above its weight class. If the Tyrannosaurus Rex could take out or cripple one of the three Dragon Kings, the rest of the fight would become much easier.

“Follow my lead when the time comes,” Han Wu said.

Long Xiang nodded.

Seeing their combined dragon breath had failed, the three Dragon Kings switched to Dragon Tongue Magic and began chanting different incantations. A three-layered formation materialized above Han Wu’s position, and terrifying pressure steadily built around him. If he couldn’t withstand it,he would die.

At Han Wu’s command, the Dark Dragoness made her move. She faced the three airborne Dragon Kings and cast them a seductive glance laced with her charm skill.

The Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King had an iron will, so the skill had no effect on it. The Crimson-Eye Earth Dragon King was stone-hearted and was immune to it. The Volcano Dragon King, however, fell for it.

The effect lasted only a second, but that second shattered its concentration and disrupted its Dragon Tongue Magic. The triple formation dropped to two layers, which significantly reduced the mounting pressure.

The Dark Dragoness instantly rocketed toward the Volcano Dragon King to repeat her assassination technique.

However, the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King wouldn’t fall for the same trick twice. The two Dragon Kings abandoned their magic and lunged at the Dark Dragoness. Neither hesitated, as though they had planned that from the start.

It was a trap. The Volcano Dragon King was the bait. Its obvious weakness was meant to lure the Dark Dragoness into close range so the Celestial Lightfeather and Crimson-Eye Earth Dragon Kings could ambush her.

Han Wu had already seen through their plan. He had fought enough battles to recognize a trap when he saw one. Still, he decided to play along. After all, the best hunter always disguised itself as prey.

At the last possible moment, the Dark Dragoness pivoted away from the Volcano Dragon King and dove straight at the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King instead. It had been her real target all along.

The feint caught the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King off guard for a split second. Before it could react, the Dark Dragoness unleashed Black Coffin. Overwhelming Dark Energy formed a coffin-shaped prison around the Dragon King and sealed it inside.

The Black Coffin was powerful, and the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King would need time to break free. The Dark Dragoness didn’t give the other two Dragon Kings a chance to intervene. She immediately hurled the Black Coffin toward Han Wu’s position.

“Do it!” Han Wu signaled to Long Xiang.

Long Xiang issued the command. His Tyrannosaurus Rex charged forward and caught the Black Coffin in its jaws. At that exact moment, the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King used its Light Energy to burst through from within.

However, it hadn’t expected what awaited it outside. The Tyrannosaurus Rex clamped down with its incomparable bite force. Its steel fangs pierced through scales and flesh like blades and tore the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King clean in half.

Yet its powerful Life Energy sustained it. Its upper half flared its blood-soaked white wings and broke free. It tried to fly back to its allies, desperate to buy enough time to heal.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex had no intention of letting its meal escape. It swallowed the lower half whole, launched itself into the air with its powerful hind legs, and caught the upper body in its front claws. Afraid that the Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King would still escape, it stuffed the remaining half into its mouth and sucked out its blood and organs with horrifying efficiency.

The Celestial Lightfeather Dragon King, already too weak to heal itself, couldn’t survive the blood loss and organ failure and dissolved into light. Another Great Dragon contestant had been eliminated.
