The Shining Star Above The Heaven
Chapter 1321: Keep Coming
At this time, the situation in the Central Region of Heaven was truly something that the Avergis’ followers could never have imagined in the past.
The Central Region of Heaven, which had become one of the most heavily guarded areas in the Second Heaven, was now in complete chaos because of the presence of one man.
The chaotic scene, which looked like an apocalypse, had spread millions of kilometres away. Various elemental attacks caused catastrophic destruction across the dark space between the Central Region of Heaven and the Sacred Temple Domain.
Space was breaking apart, flames of destruction were raging, countless flying swords filled the sky, various artifacts were being used, and other attacks capable of annihilating an entire world were being thrown toward a single point where a man was floating.
But—
“How can an Immortal Overlord Stage cultivator be this strong?! Why can’t his barrier be broken?!”
“Is he using an artifact? What kind of artifact did he use? Why can’t we destroy his barrier despite the combined attacks of more than a hundred of Immortal Saints?!”
“Keep attacking! Don’t stop! I don’t believe that whatever it is, it can keep withstanding our combined attacks!”
Some of the Immortal Saints could not hide their shock. The number of Immortal Saints arriving kept getting bigger, and their attacks were becoming more varied and more powerful.
However, no one could break Aldrian’s barrier.
Aldrian simply remained still with his eyes closed.
Despite his surroundings already being torn apart into a spatial storm powerful enough to destroy a world the size of the Ancient Blue Gate World, he seemed completely unaffected.
The most that the attacks could do to his barrier was create ripples that appeared every time their combined attacks struck the same point of the barrier.
Aldrian had poured fifty percent of the power of his entire domain into the barrier, confident that no one at the Immortal Saint Stage could break it.
‘Unless Avergis’ avatar or any of those gods descend and use some kind of artifact,’ Aldrian thought.
While he continued letting the Avergis’ followers attack his barrier, he suddenly felt something coming from the Center of Heaven. He finally opened his eyes and looked upward, where he could see a few figures coming out from the light pillar that connected the Second Heaven and Third Heaven.
“Those are the reinforcements from the higher heavens!”
“Our god has sent his help!”
Some of the Immortal Saints felt optimistic with the arrival of the reinforcements. With the situation across the Second Heaven becoming increasingly unfavorable and Aldrian’s presence making them feel disbelief, the arrival of these figures from the higher heavens greatly boosted their morale.
All of the immortals who descended from the higher heavens had Immortal Saint cultivation, but Aldrian, who kept his gaze fixed on them, knew that some of them had much stronger cultivation.
‘It looks like those gods have already made their move. And this feeling and sensation…’
Aldrian then lifted his head much higher. He could feel a rapid change in the Heavenly Laws high above him.
The change was happening quite rapidly, and Aldrian knew that this was not natural.
Without anyone telling him, Aldrian already understood what had happened, and it made him smirk.
‘They were already impatient.’
With the Second Heaven on the brink of falling into his hands, those gods would do anything to stop it, even if they had to descend themselves.
Although they could not descend with their real bodies, their avatars were dangerous enough to compete with his followers.
Aldrian had already prepared for something like this, as it was something he could easily predict.
He had even prepared to fight more than one avatar. With the power of the entire First Heaven Domain, he wanted to see if those gods’ avatars could withstand one of these attacks.
‘But to think the Heavenly Laws would change so rapidly. It looks like those gods are working together to weaken it faster.’
While Aldrian thought like that, the number of groups arriving from the higher heavens kept increasing. Some of them were even wearing different styles of robes or attire compared to the Avergis’ followers.
‘Oh, they also sent followers other than Avergis’ followers. Well, this makes the situation more festive.’
Aldrian kept observing the incoming groups, but then he found two groups that left him slightly stunned.
That was because the features of the two groups made it obvious that they were not human.
One of the groups consisted of humans with horns, while the other group possessed a strong, peculiar aura that clearly did not belong to humans. Aldrian instantly knew the true races of the two groups.
‘The dragons and the phoenixes.’
Aldrian’s eyes glistened.
Although he knew that, since the creation of Long Shentian and Feng Xuanyan, the dragons and phoenixes were no longer exclusive races of this universe, their appearance still affected his emotions.
His fury rose as he felt as if he had already been betrayed by the races that were supposed to support their first ancestors. Instead, they were supporting the invaders that had killed the existences who made their very beings possible.
Aldrian took a deep breath to calm himself. He knew that he could not control anyone regarding their allegiance.
Those dragons and phoenixes might be descendants of Long Shentian and Feng Xuanyan, but they had their own wills and were free to make their own choices.
He would treat them the same way he treated his enemies.
The dragons who continued descending toward the place where Aldrian was located also observed the chaotic space around them.
Despite Aldrian being surrounded by destruction, their eyes could clearly see how he remained completely unaffected by the attacks while continuing to stare in their direction.
The leader of the dragon group, a man with long red hair who wore a regal robe, narrowed his eyes as he focused on Aldrian.
“Barmut, do you feel something from that man? I feel strange just from looking at him. It’s like… I feel something inside me being pulled toward him,” a man beside the leader said in surprise.
Barmut, the leader, nodded while continuing to frown.
“I know. I feel it too. It feels just like when we face Lord Kiamat, which is unbelievable. How can we feel this way toward him?”
Confusion filled his voice.
“Do the rest of you feel it too?” he asked the other dragons.
“Yes, I can feel it.”
“Yes, and that’s why I feel strange.”
One by one, they answered, and all of their answers were the same, causing Barmut to frown even more deeply.
Barmut gritted his teeth as he felt humiliated by the sensation. It was as if something inside him was telling him to treat a human, who was much weaker than him, with the same reverence he showed their lord.
Their god.
Barmut’s eyes glistened.
‘I need to kill him.’
The situation within the phoenix group was similar.
The leader of the group was a beautiful woman with long blue hair. Her sharp eyes were narrowed at this moment, and her gaze remained fixed on Aldrian.
“How can that person’s presence make us feel the need to bow to him? This is just like when we face Her Majesty,” one of the women behind her said in surprise.
“Just looking at him makes me feel strange, and I have a bad feeling about him. With Her Majesty’s warning, we need to take him seriously,” another woman said to their leader.
The leader did not answer immediately and continued looking at Aldrian. This was the first time she had ever felt this way when meeting a human.
She knew that this was truly unusual, but she quickly brushed aside her feelings. The most important thing for her was to obey her queen and take care of the problem here.
“Whatever the case, we have to kill him. There is no way we can allow a being weaker than us, especially one from another race, to stir up our innate reaction to bow before him.”
Veria’s eyes glistened.
At this moment, the first group from the higher heavens had already stopped slightly above the line of Immortal Saints attacking Aldrian.
The group consisted of four men, all of whom were looking at Aldrian with frowning expressions.
“Your Excellencies! Welcome to the Second Heaven. My apologies that you have arrived to witness this sight, but it cannot be helped. That intruder is strange. He has done nothing other than remain in that position since he made his presence known.”
A Peak Immortal Saint cultivator greeted the group.
“However, even with the combined attacks of this many Immortal Saint cultivators, his defense cannot be broken. His barrier seems so strong that it appears indestructible.”
The group did not say anything and simply stared at Aldrian for a moment.
“Is that the person our lord asked us to deal with?” one of the men finally asked his companions.
“Looks like it. There is no one else here who looks like an enemy other than him,” the man to his right answered.
“Tsk, it’s because the weaklings here cannot take care of the problem themselves that our lord has to send us. We even have to work together with other gods and Tarius because of this,” another man beside the leader commented with an expression of displeasure.
He glanced at the Peak Immortal Saint who had greeted them, as if he wanted to make sure the man heard every word clearly.
The Immortal Saint who had greeted them lowered his head in shame, unable to say anything.
What could he say?
It was a fact that they could not hurt Aldrian at all.
But even if he could refute the man’s words, he would not dare to do so.
“Stop your attacks!” the leader of the group shouted.
