Chapter 324: Chapter 321: The Bizarre Giant Black Rock

Sirlius and Jin Li exchanged a look, shaking their heads with wry smiles.

Although it was hard to believe, they had to admit that Xi Yueyao’s luck was simply heaven-defying. There was nothing to be done; the facts were right in front of them.

"Let’s hurry up and capture these Magic Souls before they get away." Having finished his showboating, Feng Hao felt refreshed and invigorated, eager to rush over and claim the Magic Souls for himself.

But faced with so many Magic Souls, a very serious problem soon emerged.

Sirlius’s face suddenly clouded over. "Catching them won’t be a problem," he said, "but the key is, where do we put them? Magic Soul Crystal Bottles aren’t expensive, but who would prepare so many for no reason?"

"True. I only have ten on me," Jin Li agreed with a nod.

Hearing this, Feng Hao also felt a headache coming on. The Magic Soul Crystal Bottle situation was indeed tricky. He only had four on him, and they were the ones previously used for the Dark Moon Soul and the Deceitful Poison Chain Soul.

One had to understand that Magic Souls couldn’t be placed directly into a Spatial Ring. Therefore, there were only two ways to carry them: either imprison them in a crystal bottle or directly integrate them into a Secret Technique Mark.

But the problem now was that there were too many Magic Souls. Even if they refined Magic Souls into all of their Secret Techniques, they still couldn’t take very many.

"Yao Girl, do you have any crystal bottles?" Feng Hao couldn’t help but look at Xi Yueyao, hoping she might have brought a few more.

However, Xi Yueyao’s answer made him want to cry but have no tears. "Don’t look at me. I’d rather bring more snacks than that kind of thing."

"So what do we do now?" Feng Hao asked with a wry smile.

Just as everyone was looking distressed, Jin Li suddenly thought of something. Her eyes flashed as she said, "Right, didn’t you guys mine a lot of Tri-color Crystal earlier? Why don’t we just have Feng Hao make some crystal bottles on the spot?"

"Oh, right!" Xi Yueyao’s eyes lit up.

But Feng Hao was a bit speechless. "Using Tri-color Crystal to make crystal bottles? Isn’t that a bit too extravagant?"

To be honest, anyone who knew a little about Artifact Refining or alchemy could make crystal bottles. Even many ordinary people could do it, so it was nothing for Feng Hao.

The key issue was the material. Tri-color Crystal was a rare crystalline material; using it to make crystal bottles was a complete waste of its potential.

"This is no time to be hung up on that. Capturing these Magic Souls is what’s important," Jin Li said, rolling her eyes.

Sirlius gritted his teeth in agreement. "Alright, let’s do it. Here’s the Tri-color Crystal I mined. I’ll leave it to Brother Feng."

"Sigh, I guess this is the only way." Feng Hao sighed helplessly, then set up his Artifact Refining equipment and a mechanical workbench on the spot. He began making crystal bottles from the Tri-color Crystal. "You guys go ahead and start catching the Magic Souls. I should be able to keep up with the supply."

"No problem." The three of them responded with light laughter and rushed into the swarm of Magic Souls to begin capturing them.

Feng Hao wasted no time. He tossed the Tri-color Crystals one by one into the Forging Furnace to melt, then used the mechanical workbench to create a simple mold. Soon, he had produced a magnificent-looking crystal bottle.

Then came the second, the third... the tenth...

Fortunately, making crystal bottles didn’t require refining the Tri-color Crystal, so it didn’t consume too much of it.

But even so, Feng Hao’s heart ached at the waste.

"Hey, uh, can you guys get a rough count of the Magic Souls? Don’t want to waste materials," Feng Hao said, his expression pained.

"Got it," Jin Li replied, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. She spread out her Divine Sense to investigate for a moment and quickly got a count of the Magic Souls. "There are four hundred and thirty-two in total. Some might escape or get destroyed during capture, so making four hundred should be about right."

Feng Hao nodded resentfully, curling his lip and scoffing, "Four hundred my ass. I’d die of heartache just making two hundred."

And so, Feng Hao put his talent for cutting corners to full use and aimed to produce two hundred.

Time passed quickly, and the trio’s capture rate was also very fast. From time to time, they would return to Feng Hao’s side to restock on crystal bottles, enjoying themselves immensely.

But what surprised everyone was that these Magic Souls showed no intention of fleeing, constantly circling around the black rock.

"These Magic Souls are so dumb. They don’t even know to run," Xi Yueyao muttered with a pout.

"It is a bit strange," Sirlius said, frowning in thought. "Could it be because of this black rock? Jin Li, have you ever seen this type of black rock before?"

Jin Li had a strange expression. "It just looks like a very ordinary black mountain rock."

"Take a closer look. Maybe there’s some special mineral inside," Sirlius mused.

"Okay." Jin Li wasted no time, quickly moving to the foot of the giant black rock and using the Earth Spirit Race’s unique perception abilities to investigate.

The results of her perception startled her greatly. "Huh? There’s actually a faint trace of a life aura inside."

"A life aura?" Sirlius was taken aback. He hastily stopped his capturing and rushed to Jin Li’s side.

"That’s right." Jin Li nodded in confusion, pondering. "This trace of life aura is very weak, and it’s barely there. Even the life aura of an ordinary ant would be stronger."

"That is strange."

"Forget it. I’ll just dig in and see for myself," Jin Li said with a faint smile, her hands like sharp metal as she clawed at the black rock.

Then, what happened next left her dumbfounded. No matter how much force she used, the black rock showed no signs of damage.

"How is that possible?" Jin Li exclaimed in shock.

One had to remember, she was of the Earth Spirit Race. To her, almost all rocks were like paper-mâché, yet this giant black rock before her could actually withstand her destructive power. How could she not be astonished?

Sirlius was also startled. His eyes flickered with shock and doubt. "If that doesn’t work, why not try a Secret Technique?"

"Okay!" Jin Li nodded thoughtfully and slowly took a few steps back. Demonic light surged around her body, and in an instant, her entire being turned a dark gold color.

With a thunderous shout, her dark gold fist smashed violently into the giant black rock.

BOOM!

A massive sound echoed through the entire mountain forest, but the giant rock remained completely unharmed.

Just as the two were staring in disbelief, the giant black rock before them suddenly began to tremble. A deep, angry roar rumbled up from beneath the ground.

At the same time, an intense life aura emanated forth as if something had awakened. Jin Li’s face paled in alarm. "Oh no, it’s a Spirit Beast!"

Sirlius didn’t dare to be careless. He hurriedly pulled Jin Li onto the back of the Water Luminous Beast and retreated.

Not far away, Feng Hao was also startled by the earthquake-like tremors. His pupils contracted as he quickly stopped his work on the crystal bottles and sprinted toward the giant black rock. He had no choice; Yao Girl was still over there.

At that moment, Xi Yueyao was on top of the giant black rock capturing Magic Souls. Feeling the tremors beneath her feet, she had a dazed and cute look on her face. "What’s going on? Is it an earthquake?"

"Yaoyao, run!" Sirlius and Jin Li had only taken a few steps before they suddenly realized Xi Yueyao was still on top and shouted urgently.

Meanwhile, the Water Luminous Beast seemed terrified and didn’t dare take a single step closer to the giant black rock.

Faced with this, Sirlius was utterly helpless. He could only grit his teeth and leave it behind as he went with Jin Li to rescue Xi Yueyao.

At the same time, Feng Hao had already madly used [Shadow Assault] to rush over. His figure moved like a phantom, dashing and leaping as he charged onto the giant black rock.

The giant rock beneath his feet had now awakened, its shaking growing more and more violent. Feng Hao could only clench his jaw and do his best to keep his balance.

Xi Yueyao wasn’t an idiot. Hearing everyone’s shouts, she immediately recognized the danger and took off, running in the direction Feng Hao was coming from.

Seeing the young woman was right there, Feng Hao didn’t hesitate to scoop her up. He frantically activated Shadow Assault to escape, unable to stop a few curses from bursting out. "Dammit, what the hell is going on?!"

He had no choice. It all happened so suddenly that he still hadn’t figured out the situation.
