Chapter 131: 131 Bringing The War To An End

131 Bringing The War To An End

Nyra attacked from the side. Her spear pierced through the Elemental’s defense, and he screamed. Meanwhile, Valeria appeared above him, bringing down a blade of blood charged with a considerable amount of spiritual energy.

SHING!

The attack struck his chest, and the Elemental staggered as the blood extinguished his flames. Kareth then looked at Nyra.

"Now."

Nyra nodded. The two advanced simultaneously.

Kareth’s sword pierced his left side, while Nyra’s spear pierced his right.

The Elemental froze, unable to resist as his body was pierced several times. Valeria slowly approached, her crimson eyes remaining cold.

"You have nowhere left to run. It’s time to speak your last words."

The blade of blood pierced his chest, leaving an enormous hole where his heart should have been. The fire disappeared completely, and his body fell.

Kareth withdrew her sword, and Nyra pulled out her spear.

Neither of them spoke. They simply stared at the corpse with empty eyes until Kareth turned around.

"There’s still another one."

An enormous shadow crossed the sky.

Andarna.

The little girl had once again assumed her true form. The gigantic Bone Dragon flew over the mountain range, its enormous wings cutting through the smoke.

Below her, one last Elemental was running desperately. He looked up, and the blue flames illuminated his face, revealing his profound fear.

"No!"

Andarna tilted her head.

"I found you! Let’s play for a little while!"

The Elemental released all his energy. An enormous red explosion erupted.

BOOOOOOM!

The fire covered the sky. Andarna flew through the flames, and her bone scales suffered no significant damage.

The Elemental’s eyes widened.

"Impossible..."

Andarna opened her mouth.

"Now it’s my turn! My fire is stronger."

A torrent of blue flames descended. The Elemental unleashed his own flames to resist, and the red and blue collided, creating a spectacle of multicolored fire.

The entire mountain trembled.

For several seconds, the two flames remained evenly matched. Then the blue advanced, centimeter by centimeter.

The Elemental began to retreat.

"No..."

Andarna continued increasing the pressure. Her dragonic mouth opened to its limit, unleashing an even greater amount of flames.

"You’re going to turn to ash!"

"AAAAAAAH!"

The blue fire engulfed the Elemental. His scream echoed between the mountains before disappearing.

Andarna slowly closed her mouth. The flames diminished, and there was no longer any movement.

She looked down.

"You lost, and Andarna won."

Then she flapped her wings and flew in another direction.

At that moment, a distant explosion caught Yun Che’s attention. He slowly turned his head.

Several explosions echoed in the distance.

The immense spiritual pressures began disappearing one after another. Ariselle noticed it as well, and her green eyes narrowed slightly.

"The major battles are ending."

Yun Che nodded.

"Indeed."

The Queen observed the mountain range.

"How many are still alive?"

Yun Che remained silent for several seconds. He didn’t need to answer. The answer could already be clearly sensed by the Queen, who possessed divine sense.

Khoran was dead. Zarek had been killed. Saro had died as well.

The Elementals were being killed one after another, while the remaining thousands of soldiers were being mercilessly hunted down and slaughtered by the undead.

Ariselle closed her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, only coldness remained.

"Then the war really is coming to an end."

Yun Che looked at the legion.

"No."

Ariselle turned toward him. Yun Che continued:

"Not yet."

He pointed toward the ordinary soldiers.

"The order still stands."

The Queen understood. The war would only end when no enemies remained alive. Only then would she be satisfied.

The soldiers realized this too late.

Their generals had died. Their Elementals had fallen. Gorvak was dead. Rakan was dead.

Khoran had fallen. Zarek had fallen.

The other Profound Nascence cultivators were being hunted by the corpses of their own comrades.

A Lizardman dropped his sword.

"Enough..."

A skeleton advanced. He raised his hands.

"I surrender!"

The skeleton did not stop. Another soldier tried to run, but a shadow appeared before him.

Valeria.

He froze when her crimson eyes met his.

"Unfortunately, there will be no surrender for you. You should have thought carefully before provoking my master."

The soldier began to tremble.

"We didn’t provoke your master! Please, accept our surrender. We can be valuable slaves!"

Valeria replied calmly:

"No survivors."

A blade of blood appeared, and the soldier’s head rolled across the ground, his mouth still opening and closing as though he were trying to say something else.

Atop a rocky formation, Eryon observed the battlefield with renewed attention.

"The enemies have completely lost their ability to resist."

Kael appeared beside him. His body was still covered in blood and dust after the battle against Gorvak.

"Then we can finish this quickly. We shouldn’t keep the master waiting."

Eryon nodded.

"Yes."

Nefrava appeared a few meters behind them, her burned bandages slowly beginning to move again.

Morcant approached in silence. Valeria returned as well, and shortly afterward, Andarna descended from the sky.

BOOM!

The gigantic Bone Dragon landed before the others. She immediately returned to her little-girl form and ran toward Yun Che.

"Master!"

Yun Che looked at her.

"Yes?"

"I defeated another one!"

"I saw."

Andarna smiled.

"Was I good?"

Yun Che observed the little girl for several seconds.

"You were."

Andarna spread her arms.

"Yaaay!"

Valeria let out a small laugh. Kael shook his head, while Nefrava silently observed the girl.

Even Eryon seemed to show a slight change in his expression.

Morcant simply said:

"She is satisfied."

Andarna pointed at him.

"I am!"

Yun Che breathed slowly. Then he turned his eyes toward the mountain range.

The battle had not yet ended completely, but the greatest enemies had fallen.

The undead continued advancing. The enemy soldiers continued to be surrounded.

And for the first time since the beginning of that war, there were no longer any enemy cultivators at the tenth level capable of commanding the army.

Yun Che raised his hand. The Knights of the Apocalypse immediately paid attention.

"Kill them all quickly. Don’t leave anyone behind."

Kael clenched his fists. Valeria smiled. Nefrava moved her bandages, Eryon raised his staff, and Morcant slowly opened the fissure in his chest.

Andarna bounced excitedly.

"Let’s go!"

The six advanced.

Behind them, the eight undead generals followed. Then came the fifty undead cultivators.

And then the two thousand skeletons.

The entire legion advanced through the mountain range. This time, there were no great commanders left to stop their advance.

The battle was finally coming to an end.
