Two enormous black wings opened behind a woman. Her hair was long and dark, and her eyes had an intense golden hue.

Part of her face possessed features similar to those of an eagle, and she had sharp claws partially replacing her fingernails.

She was flying through the sky, and the enormous pressure emanating from her body was impossible to ignore.

Tenth level of the Profound Nascent realm.

Yun Che narrowed his eyes when he saw one of the fifteen enemy generals. The woman, in turn, looked down, her eyes scanning the destroyed base.

Thousands of corpses, burned supply depots, destroyed structures. Only then did her eyes return to the Bone Dragon that burned with blue flames.

Andarna tilted her head, showing a draconic smile.

"Hi."

The woman did not respond with words. When she heard that childish voice coming from the monstrous creature, only a surge of profound spiritual energy exploded from her body.

A violent gust of wind swept across the area, and Yun Che immediately felt the difference.

A blade of spiritual energy passed beside Yun Che’s head.

The mountain below exploded.

"Andarna!"

"Faster!"

"I’ll try!"

Her wings beat again, causing the dragon to accelerate considerably.

The woman did not fall behind. She raised one hand, and spiritual energy gathered between her fingers.

"Heavenly Gust!"

A huge blade of wind was launched. Seeing it coming, Andarna twisted her body in an acrobatic movement for a dragon.

The blade passed through her wings and cut through part of the bone structures.

CRACK!

Several bones fell, and Andarna looked back.

"She’s doing this on purpose!"

Yun Che replied:

"Keep flying!"

Andarna obeyed. In turn, the pursuer appeared again, and this time she was much closer.

"Stop!"

Yun Che did not respond.

"Human!"

The woman’s voice echoed across the sky.

"You destroyed one of our army’s bases and killed thousands of soldiers. Do you think you can simply run away?"

Yun Che looked ahead. In the distance, the mountains of the Medusas’ territory were beginning to appear. It was the only possible direction for his survival.

The woman noticed.

"You little worm, you intend to hide in the Medusas’ mountain range."

Yun Che did not respond. He simply focused on holding on tightly, and seeing the mountains approaching, the pursuer accelerated her flight.

Her body disappeared for an instant, and when it reappeared, she was almost beside Andarna. That was when she extended her hand.

A huge claw of spiritual energy appeared. Andarna turned violently, and the claw passed within a few centimeters of the dragon’s body.

Yun Che almost lost his balance as Andarna roared loudly enough to shake the sky. Blue flames erupted from between her ribs.

"You dying bird, don’t you dare touch my master!"

She opened her mouth, and a torrent of blue flames shot backward. The woman raised a spiritual barrier to protect herself from the blue flames.

BOOOOOOM!

The flames struck the barrier, and the sky turned blue for several seconds. The woman was pushed backward.

But she did not fall. When the smoke disappeared, she was still flying, her golden eyes even colder than before.

"Bone Dragon..."

She accelerated again.

Yun Che looked ahead, and the Medusas’ barrier was close.

Very close.

"Andarna!"

"Yes!"

"Keep going!"

"I will!"

The woman was behind them again when a spiritual technique was launched.

This time, Andarna was struck, and her left wing was hit, causing the dragon to lose altitude.

Yun Che was thrown partially forward.

Andarna desperately beat her wings.

The formations of the mountain range began to glow. Finally, the barrier opened a passage, allowing Andarna to pass through.

The woman immediately tried to enter through the opening, which closed as soon as Andarna crossed it.

An invisible wall exploded before her, forcing her backward.

Yun Che completely crossed the barrier. The next instant, his body lost all strength.

The pursuit had pushed his body to its limit. His vision began to darken.

"Andarna..."

"I’m here, Master!"

Yun Che tried to remain conscious, but he could not. His body fell onto the dragon’s back.

Andarna immediately noticed.

"Master?"

No response.

"Master!"

She began to descend. Yun Che remained motionless, and then Andarna began to shrink.

The enormous bones disappeared, the blue flames were consumed, and the huge wings vanished.

The gigantic body transformed back into the small girl with white hair and a dark-blue dress.

She caught Yun Che before he hit the ground, but she could not support his weight.

The two fell together.

Andarna remained kneeling beside him.

"Master..."

She touched his arm.

"Master, wake up."

The little girl pressed her lips together, and then black smoke began to envelop her body.

She looked at Yun Che one last time.

"I’ll rest inside you, Master."

Her body completely transformed into black smoke that slowly entered Yun Che’s body.

The mountain range became quiet again.

On the other side of the barrier, the tenth-level Profound Nascent cultivator remained in the air.

Her eyes were fixed on the Medusas’ territory. She clenched her fists in anger.

She had arrived too late, and the barrier remained intact. The enemy had escaped.

She took a deep breath.

"Next time..."

Her gaze became cold.

"...you won’t escape."

Inside the Medusas’ territory, Yun Che remained unconscious.
