Only He Hui was secretly pleased.

Liu Qian still had no idea that Li Yang was actually their boss too.

’It seems I made the right choice,’ she thought. ’I can’t tell them about this.’

And sure enough, Li Yang was having lunch in Han Qiuyue’s office.

"Oh, a class reunion!" Han Qiuyue finally understood after Li Yang explained. "No wonder."

"Sister Han, I have to say, your chefs here are really skilled!" Li Yang exclaimed after finishing his meal.

Han Qiuyue smiled and asked, "Could you branch out and find some other products for us? The wild boar has been a big hit, but our meat selection is still a bit limited. We only have the boar. Could you get us things like chicken or duck?"

"I’ll have to go back and check," Li Yang said with a nod. "If it’s feasible, I’ll supply them to you."

"Alright!"

"By the way, your health issue isn’t serious anymore. I’ll go back and prescribe something for you to help you fully recover, and that should be it."

"Okay!"

After lunch, Li Yang left without saying goodbye to the others and drove back to the village.

"You’ve been so busy lately, you’re never home!" When he got back to Ye Xiu’s house, she was in the middle of washing dishes. "Have you eaten?"

"I already ate!" Li Yang nodded. "Aunt Xiu, I bought a car."

"I know!" Ye Xiu rolled her eyes at him. "The whole village knows."

Li Yang laughed awkwardly, then remembered what he really came to discuss. "Are the renovations on the school underway?"

"Of course they are. We paid them, why wouldn’t they be working?" Ye Xiu said irritably.

"Could you have some of their crew come to my house tomorrow? Tell them I want to build a mushroom shed."

"Alright!" Ye Xiu nodded. "You really do need to expand that mushroom shed."

"You bet!" Li Yang nodded, full of confidence. "Now that people are willing to buy my produce, I have to expand. When the time comes, I’m going to renovate the school and fix our village roads!"

"Get, get, get out of here..." Ye Xiu’s face flushed red when she heard him. "Stop spouting nonsense and get going!"

And with that, she shooed Li Yang out of the house.

Li Yang chuckled to himself and made his way to the village clinic.

’Han Qiuyue’s condition isn’t serious. I’ll just prepare a prescription for her.’

’It’s a shame there aren’t many herbs in stock, though.’

’When I have time, I should go up the mountain and gather some more,’ he mused. ’Otherwise, the clinic is going to run out of supplies for the village.’

Just as he was thinking, the door swung open with a CREAK.

"Aunt Lian..." Li Yang was a little surprised. "Is something wrong?"

"Xiaoyang, um, I’m not feeling very well," Xia Lian said, a little embarrassed.

"What’s wrong?" Li Yang asked, his expression turning serious.

"It’s just... I feel so swollen and tender here," Xia Lian said shyly.

Li Yang seemed to understand.

Xiaomu was, in fact, not even a year and a half old.

Children are typically breastfed exclusively until they are about a year old, but Xia Lian’s family was too poor to afford formula, so she planned to breastfeed for longer.

That was why Xiaomu was still breastfeeding.

"Let me take a look," Li Yang said.

Xia Lian hesitated, embarrassed, unsure if she should lift up her shirt.

"Aunt Lian, I’m a doctor," Li Yang said gently. "To me, you’re just a patient."

Realizing he was right, she quickly lifted her shirt.

Li Yang took one look and couldn’t help but gulp.

’There must be something in the water here in Bishui Village,’ he thought. ’So many of the women here are beautiful, and they have amazing figures, too.’

"It looks like there’s a blockage. I’ll have to clear it," Li Yang said, his expression serious.

"How... how do you clear it?" Xia Lian’s face turned beet red.

"Ah, well..."

"Please, hurry," she pleaded. "Otherwise, Xiaomu won’t have any milk to drink!"

Seeing no other choice, Xia Lian gritted her teeth, walked over, and lay down.

Xia Lian felt a cool touch, followed by a wave of heat, and her mind couldn’t stop conjuring other images.

Fortunately, Li Yang was truly a professional. Though he was stunned and a little flustered at first, he quickly composed himself.

Before long, he had cleared the blockage.

"Alright, that’s done!" Li Yang announced. "It should be fine now, Aunt Lian."

Xia Lian immediately sat up and pulled her shirt back down.

"By the way, Aunt Lian..." Li Yang began, choosing his words carefully. "You should really start buying formula for Xiaomu. It’s time to stop breastfeeding."

"I..." Xia Lian said helplessly. "Formula is so expensive."

"Alright, I understand." Li Yang nodded, but he had already made a decision.

The next day, the village construction crew arrived at Li Yang’s house.

Li Yang greeted them warmly and explained what he wanted done.

The foreman had done this kind of work before, so he quickly understood what Li Yang meant and promised to have his crew come over to begin the expansion right away.

After paying a ten-thousand-yuan deposit, Li Yang got in his car and headed for the city again.

He hadn’t even reached the city when his phone rang. It was a call from Han Qiuyue’s number.

"Did you give my cousin some kind of treatment? Let me tell you, she’s in the hospital right now! If anything happens to her, you’ll be held responsible!"

The voice on the other end wasn’t Han Qiuyue, but Qin Susu.

"What?" Li Yang was stunned. "That’s impossible! Your cousin was almost fully recovered. Why would she be in the hospital? Which one? I’m coming over right now!"

"She’s at Renmin Hospital. Get over here now!" Qin Susu said angrily.

Li Yang rushed to the hospital. ’She was doing so well,’ he thought. ’How could she have ended up in the hospital?’
