If he had said this before, Li Yang might have believed him to some extent. But now… honestly, he wouldn’t believe a word the man said.

“Boss!” the man in glasses and the Little Gangster Girl exclaimed, absolutely furious.

Lu Da was about to explode with rage. It wasn’t because Li Yang wanted to get rid of his two underlings, but because he was being threatened like this.

That was what he couldn’t stand the most.

“You should think it over carefully…” Li Yang spoke again, a cold smile on his face. “If you don’t, and something… happens, it’ll have nothing to do with me.”

Both of them were dumbfounded. The Little Gangster Girl, especially, had her foot crippled by Li Yang and was still counting on her boss to get revenge for her.

“Boss…” The man in glasses panicked.

“Just throw them out?” Li Yang raised an eyebrow and said coldly, “You must really look down on me. Cripple an arm and a leg on each of them, then throw them out.”

“I’ll kill you!” Murderous intent rose in the man in glasses.

Lu Da had always been decisive. He could see that Li Yang was likely furious because these two had been constantly targeting him.

If he didn’t satisfy Li Yang, he wouldn’t get treated.

So, he gave one of his subordinates a meaningful look.

The man quickly walked up to the man in glasses.

The man in glasses sensed something was wrong. He had just uttered a single word when a blade flashed, and his leg was slashed open.

“AH!” The man in glasses fell to the ground. “Boss, you…”

“Cripple them!” Lu Da said, his face devoid of expression. “Don’t hold back. Cripple them both.”

Many others in the room paled, but not a single person dared to say a word.

Wen Ru stared at Li Yang in surprise.

It was impossible to know what she was thinking.

Soon, both of them had an arm and a leg crippled.

“Lu Da, fuck your mother!” the Little Gangster Girl roared at him. “I’ve been through hell and back with you, and you fucking cripple me just like that? I’ll fucking kill you.”

Lu Da’s face was grim. He looked at Li Yang and suddenly realized something was wrong.

‘This guy is doing it on purpose. He might just be doing this to get back at me.’

‘Crippling two loyal followers in front of so many of my men… how am I supposed to maintain my image as a righteous and loyal boss after this?’

But he had no choice. If he didn’t do it, he would be the one to suffer the consequences.

‘Besides, what’s done is done. They’re not good people anyway. I’ll have to kill them both later.’

“Throw them out!” Lu Da was a formidable figure himself. He knew this wasn’t the right time to finish them off, or his men would become even more disillusioned. He’d have to find a chance to kill them later. “From now on, no one is to be disrespectful to Divine Doctor Li.”

Amidst a stream of curses, the Little Gangster Girl and the man in glasses were dragged out.

After the two of them were gone, the room fell completely silent.

No one dared to say anything more to Li Yang, but it was clear they all had a huge problem with him.

Li Yang stepped forward with a cold smile and poked a finger into Lu Da’s body.

“What’s wrong? Thinking of making a move on me again?” Li Yang looked at him nonchalantly. “How do you know I haven’t left a fatal pressure point active?”

Lu Da had indeed been about to strike. But when he heard this, he froze on the spot and forced a smile onto his face. “You must be joking, Divine Doctor Li. How would I dare? I don’t even have time to properly thank you for saving my life.”

Li Yang gave a calm smile. “I won’t be staying for hot pot. You all enjoy yourselves.”

With that, Li Yang walked out.

He wasn’t worried that these people would attack him, so he swaggered out openly.

Lu Da trembled with rage, his hands clenched into fists, but in the end, he didn’t have the guts to make a move against Li Yang.

After a long while, he finally calmed down and sat on a chair, his gaze sweeping over everyone.

Everyone lowered their heads, as if not daring to meet his eyes.

“You…” Lu Da pointed at Wen Ru. “Go find him at his hotel. Pry it out of him whether he really left a fatal pressure point on me.”

Wen Ru raised her eyebrows.

“Remember, use any means necessary. In this world, nothing is more important than my life,” Lu Da said coldly.

A flash of greed appeared on the faces of the underlings, but it vanished as quickly as it came.
