Chapter 1180: Chapter 1207: All Very Strong (4)
Next to the flower trees not far away, a figure appeared.
In the light of the courtyard, the person stood tall and upright, hugging a chubby black cat.
"Mr. Robert?" Koa Jackson was taken aback.
What was this man doing, fully dressed in a suit, in the garden in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?
Mia Ginger also looked over at him.
The first thing she noticed was the black cat in Mr. Robert’s arms.
The black cat nestled in his arms, no longer making a sound, looking at people with its big round green eyes, which was indescribably eerie. Cats were animals Mia often saw back in Eastern Peak Village. She didn’t particularly like them, mainly because she couldn’t stand their cries sometimes.
Especially at night, when it was originally very quiet, suddenly hearing the fierce cries of a stray cat was unbearable.
However —
For a gentleman as meticulous as Mr. Robert, holding a cat, it seemed somewhat mismatched.
Especially with the recent rain, cats running outside would surely have dirty paws. He was in a perfectly tailored suit, and with a slight carelessness, there would be mud and water everywhere.
Robert seemed to understand their confusion and explained with a smile, "This little thing’s cries were too pitiful. I came specifically to check it out, and look..."
As he spoke, he lifted one of the black cat’s paws, with a look of compassion, "It must have stepped on something accidentally. Half its paw is bleeding. I need to take it up and bandage it."
"Really?" Koa Jackson smiled, "You’re truly kind-hearted."
"That’s how doctors are." Robert smiled gently and looked at Mia Ginger, "Tomorrow is the check-up."
"Yes, Brother Jackson will go with me," Mia hurriedly said.
"That’s good, everything will go smoothly, good night."
"Good night."
"You should rest early."
The three of them said their goodbyes, and Koa Jackson held Mia Ginger as they returned to the room.
Mia still nestled in his embrace, smiling with appreciation, "Mr. Robert is so kind-hearted."
"Hmm." Koa Jackson looked down at her, softly asking, "Were you scared just now?"
"I sometimes find the sound of a cat’s cries terrifying." Mia shrank her neck and said, "The Chancellor is still cuter, I miss it. Just because I’m pregnant, why did it have to go to my mom?"
"You can bring it back after the baby is born." Koa Jackson comforted, "Right now, it would pounce on you affectionately if it saw you, and that wouldn’t do, right?"
"True." Mia admitted somewhat helplessly.
Koa Jackson laid her on the bed and asked again, "Do you want to take a bath?"
"I kind of want to; I got nervous and sweaty during the live broadcast, but now I’m so sleepy, it’s almost three o’clock."
"I’ll carry you in for a bath."
Mia: "..."
The thought of Koa Jackson carrying her in for a bath made her feel a bit embarrassed.
Koa Jackson had already helped her take off her suit jacket. Before she could think it through, he held the hem of her T-shirt and softly said, "A bath before sleeping would feel more comfortable. I’ll carry you in, and it’ll be quick."
