Yeats Howard glared at Marcus Quinn with a face full of grievance and said, "My dad smacked me twice. I don’t care, you have to take responsibility for me, and provide for my food and housing."

Marcus Quinn: "..."

Marcus cleared his throat softly, thinking of A’Dan who also lived here, his face blushed a bit, and he said, "Just find a room and stay here then, and by the way, help me figure out what we need for the wedding."

Yeats Howard’s face turned pale when he heard this, and he slapped his thigh, howling, "Holy crap, I was wondering why I was sleeping well yet got smacked by my old man. Turns out it’s because you are getting married? Bro, I’m out!"

As he said this, Yeats beat his chest, feeling utterly crazy. His uncle, that big shot from the Shaw Family, and the Shaw Family’s grandmother’s grandson and nephew all got married and registered. Then Marcus, this eternal bachelor, suddenly announces he’s getting married without a peep. It’s a miracle he wasn’t beaten to death by his old man.

Thinking about the wedding, Marcus’s expression softened a bit and he said, "I don’t have many acquaintances in the Imperial City, not even friends of the same age, so I’m counting on you to help me plan."

Yeats also knew about Marcus’s situation, unlike his own where he was pampered in the Howard Family, having everything he wanted since childhood. Marcus’s life was pretty tragic; his mother died in childbirth, his heartless father remarried, and he was once thrown aside to live with Old Man Qi when his father left. The old man took Marcus to the countryside, and after the old man’s passing, Marcus was left all alone.

Yeats scratched his head, feeling that getting smacked twice was worth it as it was normal for his old man to have compassion for Marcus.

"Alright, leave this to me. You hurry up and make some food, after eating, I’ll take you to raid the mall. Put it on my tab," Yeats said with a cheeky grin, showing his white teeth as he continued to unload groceries from the car. His grandma almost emptied the fridge bringing over a ton of special supplies.

Yeats merrily hummed a tune, carrying a big bag of food into the quadrangle courtyard. Then he saw A’Dan, wrapped in a knitted cardigan with white tassels, standing under the corridor rubbing her eyes, sweetly calling for Marcus with an endearing, soft voice, looking like a living beauty.

The man was cooking porridge. Seeing that she had woken up, he walked over, kissed her forehead and whispered hoarsely, "I’ll take you to freshen up, a friend has come over."

A’Dan peeked from behind his burly figure, her fair and delicate face flashed a smile at Yeats and then she shrank back like a shy little creature.

The big bag of snacks in Yeats’s hand dropped to the floor and hit his foot, twisting his face in pain. Holy crap, Marcus can find such a beautiful and delicate wife even while farming in the countryside. No wonder his old man whipped him with a belt at home, he must have been infuriated!

"Marcus, you’re my bane," Yeats exclaimed, feeling utterly despondent.

A’Dan finished washing up and changed into the comfy fall outfit she bought yesterday. She combed her long, straight black hair and came out to see that Yeats had moved everything from the car inside, where piles of things were stacked both on the main house’s table and floor.

She was also a child brought up in luxury, and seeing so much food that even she hadn’t encountered before, she immediately realized these were all top-quality goods.

Marcus was preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Seeing that Yeats even brought over ingredients like rice, she couldn’t help but marvel at how considerate the Howard Family is. Didn’t they practically bring over everything from home?

"Sister-in-law, do you have any sisters? Or best friends?" Yeats had a Demon King Hun’s personality and seeing A’Dan’s somewhat introverted nature with her sweet and gentle appearance, he was both envious of Marcus’s great luck and friendly, "I’m Yeats Howard, 26 this year, single, with a great personality, everything is great, asking for an introduction. My requirements aren’t high, someone like Sister-in-law would be perfect in both looks and character."

A’Dan thought this sunny and handsome young elite did indeed have a good personality and smiled, "I’m the only child, and I don’t have particularly close girlfriends."

In their circle, truly sincere friends were already rare, not to mention Yeats’s special identity. He wouldn’t really need her to introduce someone anyway.

"Oh, a family darling, which makes you extra fitting for my bro Marcus. Marcus is honest and straightforward. Our Marcus doesn’t say much but is always a great husband," Yeats joked with a grin.

A’Dan gave a light cough, thinking this person’s nature was too naturally friendly, her face blushing slightly.

Seeing A’Dan shy, Marcus’s lips curled into a slight smile and said in a deep voice, "A’Dan, go grab the chili sauce we brought, later I’ll make sour fish noodles for you both to eat."
