The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Chapter 205: Counter Attack Plan

Chapter 205: Counter Attack Plan

Ilyndra stepped forward, towering over the screaming girl.

"And don’t try to bluff us." Ilyndra warned dangerously. "Even though you used the scroll and summoned us, you do not have a great hold over what we actually do. The binding is incredibly weak, so don’t try and provoke us. Or we will have serious issues, young miss."

And that was exactly when Wang Lei completely lost his temper.

He saw these two towering freaks threatening the girl he loved. So he lunged forward and threw a wild, punch straight at Vaelin’s face.

But Vaelin didn’t even flinch. The High Elf just casually raised his hand and grabbed Wang Lei’s incoming fist right out of the air.

Then Vaelin just casually backhanded the human right across the face.

"I have never seen a bigger idiot than you." Vaelin scoffed, dropping the Wand Lei’s arm. "You don’t even know what she is actually doing to your brain."

But weirdly enough, Wang Lei looked like he could not even hear what the High Elf was saying. He did not look angry about the brutal slap. He just rubbed his red cheek and looked at Vaelin with a totally blank, confused expression.

"Are you..." Wang Lei mumbled stupidly. "Why are you calling me a monkey?"

Vaelin just smiled. It was a cold, pitying smile. He just shook his head slowly in pure disbelief as he glanced at the elf. Then he turned around and and began walking into the cave.

Meanwhile, the Elf girl just looked at the dazed human standing beside her.

’I am incredibly glad that his innate mental defenses are this pathetic and low.’ she thought to herself with a cruel, satisfied smirk.

Adrian stood shoulder to shoulder with the exhausted northern soldiers, desperately helping them kill the relentless waves of monsters that were aggressively trying to get through the broken wall.

And there was a new issue that he had to deal with right now.

The overall density of the charging monsters was getting ridiculously high. They were packing tightly together to push through the gap. But at the exact same time, the number of dead bodies just piling up in front of the broken wall was getting pretty huge.

And the agile monsters in the back were actually actively using these mountains of bloody corpses as a makeshift ramp to jump right over the heads of the defending soldiers.

The monsters were literally leaping over the shield wall. So even the heavily armored frontline soldiers were completely unable to block the jumping monsters with their kite shields anymore.

So Adrian had to actively use his fast spinning chakrams to violently kill the monsters that managed to get inside the wall and land right behind the soldiers.

But dealing with the enemies in the front and the enemies jumping into the backline was creating a huge, problem.

’I need to find a way to get to this hidden mage somehow.’ Adrian thought frantically as he sliced a goblin in half mid-air.

He looked out over the chaotic sea of monsters and stared deep into the dark forest in the distance.

’Since the enemy mages are hiding all the way over there,’ Adrian quickly formulated a plan. ’I just need to fire a massive, destructive spell. Or do something catastrophic to the forest so that they will have no place left to hide.’

But then reality hit him.

’But what the hell am I actually supposed to do against a sixth circle mage?’ Adrian reasoned with himself. ’I am just a third circle mage. I might have a massive, ridiculously large pool of mana to pull from the dungeon... but the raw output, the combat experience, and the pure proficiency over high tier spells is something I absolutely cannot compete against. On top of that I never really tried to learn the actual destructive spells so I don’t really have that option anymore.’

So he just kept throwing his chakrams continuously, desperately trying to brainstorm a way to somehow win this impossible war.

He was just staring out at the forest when he suddenly looked over at Sigrid fighting nearby.

And a brilliant, utterly reckless idea instantly clicked in his head.

Sigrid was an A rank knight. And on the official, established power scaling of this world, an A rank knight was basically on the exact same tier as a sixth circle mage.

But even though they were technically on the exact same tier of their respective paths, Sigrid could not really compete with a master mage in a long distance fight.

Adrian knew the golden rule of combat in this world. Once it actually came down to extreme close-quarters combat, a high-ranking knight could easily slaughter a mage. Because other than a mana shield, a squishy mage had nothing else to defend their bodies with.

A mage could fire off a few spells at once, but even that had it’s limits. They could either fire off a spell that caused massive damage at once, or they could fire off multiple attacks at the same time like shooting multiple ice spears at the target.

At the end, the mana output was the same and while the damage differed, a mana shield was enough to block these spells as long as the defending mage had enough mana. And since it would be a traditional fight between mages, both the attacker and the defender would lose mana at the same pace.

But when it came to fighting knights, they could attack the mage multiple times in a single second and they also did not use too much mana. Due to this the mana shields usually wouldn’t be able to withstand the offensive barrage and they’d just break. Either that, or the mage would run out of mana.

Adrian looked at Sigrid as she brutally chopped an ogre’s legs off.

’If I team up with her and rush all the way to the forest,’ Adrian thought to himself. ’I should be able to distract them long enough for her to injure, or at least completely kill, this hidden mage.’
